My gut was screaming, but I had my headphones on and was busy listening to my favorite song. I didn't pay attention to the disaster waiting for me just around the corner. Nothing was the same after I took that turn. The carnage ripped me apart with a velocity which is quite hard to explain. I could hear people's faint whispers as they pointed at me since I looked like quite a spectacle, with my unkept hair, bloody bruised body and dusty clothes. I guess that this time the joke was on me.
