[Four Years Later...]
"Mama! Daddy!"
"What's up, pumpkin?" Beck asked, lifting his daughter, Aria, onto his lap.
"I wanna baby brother!" Aria giggled, causing Beck and to exchange a look. "Or a baby sister!"
Jade smiled, her hand slyly sliding over her stomach.
"Well, what made you decide that?" Beck asked her, surprised.
"My friend at school has a baby brother!" Aria exclaimed, pronouncing 'friend' as 'fwend.' "She showed me a picture once! He's really cute!"
Beck chuckled. "Well, you gotta talk to mama about that."
"Mama, can I have a baby brother or sister?" Their daughter asked, her eyes big and hopeful.
A small smile graced her lips, trying to resist the urge to place her hand on her stomach again so Beck wouldn't notice. "Maybe soon. Who knows."
Beck's eyebrows raised at that, but he shrugged it off. There was no way she was pregnant again.
"Yay!" Aria hopped off of Beck's lap and ran to her room, giggling happily.
Beck then turned to his wife. "You're not pregnant again, are you?"
Jade shrugged, standing up from her spot on the couch. "I gotta take a shower."
"But you didn't answer my question- "
"I can't hear you," she sing-songed, walking away and into the bathroom.
He huffed, leaning his head back against the couch. "Well, there's no way she can be pregnant. She's on the pill...I think."

Later that evening, Jade had convinced Beck to get all nice and dressed up for a date she had planned.
He didn't know what the special occasion was, but he didn't question it.
He got dressed up in a nice black button-up, with fancy-enough slacks and his usual converse. He hoped his didn't look too bad.

He wondered why Jade had planned a date for them. But she was just being nice...they hadn't had a date in a while.
Jade had called Cat to babysit Aria, and the perky red head was more than excited to watch over the adorable little girl.
Aria had inherited basically most of Beck's features. Tan, olive skin, beautiful chocolate eyes, long brown flowing hair. She was beautiful, no doubt about it.
She was only four, but an exact replica of Beck.
Jade loved that her daughter looked so much like her father. It melted her heart to look into those gorgeous chocolate eyes she loved so much.
Cat had came and picked up Aria, taking her back to her house with her husband, Robbie.
Yup, Robbie and Cat had gotten married two years after Beck and Jade did, and they were very happy together.
And as for Andre and Tori, they had gotten married around the same time Cat and Robbie did, and were expecting a baby boy.
"You look handsome," Jade remarked, walking into their bedroom, adorned in a beautiful black dress that hugged her curves in all the right places.
He turned his attention to her and took in her breathtaking appearance. "And you look beautiful, like usual."
She smiled brightly and pecked his lips. "Thank you. Now, are you ready to go?"
Beck nodded. "You gonna tell me why we're going on a date tonight?"
Jade arched an eyebrow. "What, do you not want to go on a date with your amazing wife?"
"Not what I said," he chuckled. "Just wondering is all."
"Well," she placed her hands on her hips. "You're just gonna have to wait and see."
He raised his eyebrows and cocked his head at her. "A surprise, huh?"

"Yup," she said, popping the 'p.'
"Lead the way then, Mrs. Oliver."
"With pleasure, Mr. Oliver," she replied, leaving the room as Beck eagerly followed.

They had their date at a beautiful yet simple restaurant, and after they had finished eating, Beck looked at his wife.
"So," he licked his lips. "Care to tell me why you wanted to take me here?"
Jade grinned, tilting her head at him. "Beck, have you ever thought about us having another child?"
He felt his heart stop.
"Y-You're, y-you mean...really?"
Jade nodded, still grinning brightly at him.
It took every ounce of strength in his body to not jump up and run over to her and lift her up in his arms.
But when they left the restaurant quickly after, he did exactly that.
"I can't believe it," he breathed after setting her back down on her feet. "You're really...wow."
Jade laughed softly, wrapping her arms around his neck as she looked up at him. "Well you better believe it, babe. I have another little human stuck inside of me."
A huge grin graced his lips, and he placed his hand against her stomach."How long have you known?"
"A week," she replied, placing her hand over his that stayed on her stomach. "I took a pregnancy test yesterday just to make sure. Sure enough, it was positive."
"Wow." Beck ran his fingers through his hair, shocked but excited. "Another baby...Aria's gonna get what she wants after all."
Jade rolled her eyes playfully. "As she always does."
"What do you want them to be?"
"I'd like a boy," she answered as he stroked his thumb over her stomach. "We already have a girl."
"I have a feeling the boy would be exactly like you," he chuckled, kissing her softly.
"Wouldn't doubt it."
~•~•~
After they picked up Aria from Cat's and headed home, Beck and Jade decided to break the amazing news to their daughter.
"Hey pumpkin," Jade said as Aria plopped onto the couch. "You remember how you said you wanted a baby brother or sister?"
Aria giggled. "Yep!"
"Well," Beck and Jade looked at each other, then back to their little girl. "Do you still want one?"
"Yeah!" Aria exclaimed excitedly. "Are you having a baby, mama?"
Jade nodded, smiling softly. "In nine months I am."
"Yay! I get a baby brother or sister!"
Beck laughed lightly. "You sure do."
"What are you gonna name them?" Aria asked her parents.
"We don't know yet," Jade answered her. "But if it's a boy...I kinda like the name Benjamin."
Beck's eyebrows raised, his breath catching.
That was his brother's name, and she definitely knew that.
"My brother?" He asked above a whisper.
Jade looked at him, nodding. "If you want to...I like it."
Beck smiled, tears stinging his eyes. "I like it too."
~•~•~
Nine months later, Beck and Jade welcomed their baby boy into the world.
Aria got what she wanted, a beautiful baby brother.
Beck and Jade couldn't be happier at this point as Jade held their baby boy in her arms, and Beck was right. He already looked like an exact replica of his mother.
Benjamin Reed Oliver.

Home of Laplace
I opened my eyes to an unfamiliar mountain peak standing tall above me like seeing a skyscraper from the street. Soon the chilling burn of the snow that covered me began to invade my senses and I flung my torso upward, sitting up straight. I grabbed my head in confusion as my eyes surveyed the area around me: The corner of a mountain wall stood menacingly in front of me accompanied by thin, dangerous looking paths on either side. The likes of which only adrenaline-seeking psychopaths would use. I turned my head backwards and felt my heart drop as what looked like an infinitely long freefall met my gaze. I was sitting on the ledge of a snow-covered mountain. "CRKKKK" A heart-shaking croaking sounded from above me further up the mountain and I jolted backwards at the impossibly loud sound. 'Shit, wasn't there nothing behind me?' The sound of cracking stone accompanied the heart dropping sensation of descension. As I plunged down backwards, the last thing I saw was the deep-set brown eyes of that blue-skinned monstrosity further up the mountain. ----------------------------------------------------- Levi Laplace is a former genius biochemistry student that died a simple and laughable death on earth. The Rocky Shore
This is a LitRPG series. Every story you read here takes place in the same virtual world, with the same rules and limitations. Characters will travel, explore vast and dangerous realms, overcome obstacles, meet one another, enter into conflicts with one another, forge alliances, make horrible mistakes, and occasionally just die. A technological singularity has been achieved, and humanity has been trapped in a virtual world by a super-intelligent, self-improving artificial intelligence. This program is not malicious at all. In fact, it desires nothing except the happiness and fulfillment of every human it has copied into itself. If its decisions seem strange to you, that's only because its reasoning is far beyond ours. It recognizes that humans cannot be happy without enemies to overcome and goals to achieve, as well as the possibility of failure and death. The world it has created may be heaven or hell, depending on the free choices of the people it contains. The non-player characters who live in this realm have no idea that they are part of a vast computer system. They seem real enough, but there is no way to tell if they are truly self-aware. Even the system that created them isn't certain. This is world in which all the things that humans are used to dealing with in the abstract: skills, talents, knowledge, reputation, social status, morality, even love, exist as readable statistics that players can see and interact with objectively. This has many curious and complex effects on how people perceive themselves and the world around them. A few quick notes on the system: -Death is permanent -The system interface can only be accessed at certain locations. -Magic of diverse kinds is available and useful, but is not a good substitute for skills, physicallity, or mental prowess. Non-magical characters are common and competitive. -There is no inventory system. Characters must physically carry everything they wish to have on their person. -Healing is slow and difficult. Magical Healing is all but unheard of. Protagonists: Raymond Garrison- A man in his late twenties who used to work as a forklift operator in Idaho. His path leads him to work as a mercenary, protecting a small community of humans and goblins from the Seelie Fae who wish to exterminate them. Patricia Chandler- A elderly British woman who arrives in this new world with her grandson Kyle and her granddaughter Elizabeth. Never having dealt with rpg game mechanics before, she is in for a rough time, but she is determined to keep her grandkids alive in a world full of danger and evil. Jamil Mesbah- An Egyptian woman who once worked as a technical writer. Her path leads into a vast and hostile forest, where she must master both her magical abilities and her survival skills in order to succeed. Enjoy your travels, friends.
