《The Not So Boring Girl: Craig Tucker x NekoReader》Chapter Seventeen

I couldn't express the joy I had after hanging out with the boys. Even Eric had softened up to me after that night. I felt that I had finally fit in somewhere, but knowing that, I had gotten quite scared of what could happen if people found out. What I could lose...
As I was staring off into thought, I was interrupted by a phone call from Craig.
"(Y/N), what are you going?" he asked, after I picked up.
"Nothing, why?" I replied.
"I want to take to Stark's pond, you know go on a real date," he suggested.
"Yeah, I'll tell my parents," I told him.
"I'll be there in twenty," he replied before hanging up.
I quickly went downstairs and told my parents I was going to go out with a friend. I wanted to tell them that I was dating Craig, but I knew that they wouldn't take it lightly, especially since we haven't been here for that long. They agreed, as long as I was back before night fall. I was so relieved that they were starting to lighten up on me making friends, so with some more time, I'm sure that they would be happy to see that I had a boyfriend, especially with someone who was so cool with what was going on with me.
That was something that I had thought a lot about. It was so weird to me that Craig was so calm about the whole thing, but he had told me that so much weirder things had happened in South Park. It seems that I may just have found my place to call home.
After Craig showed up, he drove us to Stark's pond. His car smelled like pizza, and I saw in the back that he had picked on up. When we got to the pond, he brought the pizza out along with various types of soda.

"You want us to eat all of this?" I asked.
He chuckled. "No, I just wasn't sure what you all liked, so I picked up all the different stuff I liked and hoped that you'd like at least some of it."
I stared at him for a moment and smiled. "Honestly, looking at you, I wouldn't pick you to be so kind and thoughtful."
"That's what happens when you date someone with sever anxiety," he mumbled.
Craig rarely talked about Tweek, and I felt back about what had happened. Although, he said it wasn't my fault, I still felt a little like the blame, mainly because I knew that Tweek was hurting.
"Do you want to talk about it?" I asked.
"About what? I already told you I don't think I was ever gay. It was something that we were both forced into by the Asian girls at our school. I care about Tweek a lot, he was my best friend. As we got older, I knew that I wasn't gay, but I was just supposed to be gay for the others. Tweek, though, he was in love with me, but when...I just couldn't do it anymore. Then you showed up, and I knew that the idea of Creak was done for," he explained, his voice not wavering.
"So, it doesn't bother you?" I questioned.
"The only thing that bothers me out of the whole situation is that I lost my best friend and the harassment that you have had to face," Craig said taking my hand.
I smiled at him and ate a piece of pizza.
We stayed out there and talked for a while, exchanging stories. Craig wasn't kidding when he said that South Park had seen much crazier things than a half human half cat, but he understood why I needed to keep in a secret.

It was rather humid that day. Craig wasn't even wearing his hat. I was jealous as my ears were starting to get itchy from the sweat. Craig must have noticed me scratching my head because he had read my mind.
"No one is around, and we are outside of town. You could probably take your hat off if you wanted to. I'll keep an eye out for you," he said.
"You think so?" I questioned, unsure.
"I swear, (Y/N). I wouldn't let anything happen," he promised.
I smiled and removed my hat, letting my ears breath. It felt so much nicer.
"I think you look better that way," he said.
"R-really?" I blushed.
"My life is usually pretty boring. I like it that way, but I'm glad you came around," he admitted.
I gave a shy smile once more before grabbing another piece of pizza.
*Third Person*
"Are you sure they are here, Bebe?" Wendy asked.
Wendy had been dragged by Red and Bebe to stalk Craig and find a way to get him and (Y/N) to break up.
"Yeah, but we have to be sneaky. Red pull up her, and we'll walk the rest of the way," Bebe said.
Wendy was still unsure, "How do you even know he's here with her?"
"Because his snap location is on, and why would he be at Stark's pond if he wasn't taking her on a date," Bebe snarled.
The three girls got out of Red's car and walked the rest of the way to the park. As they got closer, they were careful to stay behind the trees.
"Oh, shit there they are," Red whispers.
"Oh my God, what the fuck," Bebe whispered to herself.
"Are those c-cat ears?" Wendy questioned.
"Maybe, they're fake, and she's just a freak?" Red suggested.
They all watched (Y/N) raise her hand and scratch behind them, showing that they were most definitely real.
"This is it. Quick Red take a picture. It's time to expose this girl for being the freak that she is," Bebe quickly said.
Red zoomed in with her camera and took the photo before the three girls quickly ran off, making sure to not get caught.
