Mr. Incredible was sitting in a fast moving jet talking to Mirage about the mission dressed in his old super suit.

"The Omnidroid 9000 is a top secret prototype battle robot."

Mirage pulled up an image of the robot. It's body is shaped like a sphere and it has five legs coming out of it with a little knob on top that served as an eyeball.

"It's artificial intelligence enables it to solve any problem it's confronted with. And unfortunately..."

"Let me guess. It got smart enough to wonder why it had to take orders." Mr. Incredible said.

"We lost control. Now it's loose in the jungle threatening out facility. We've had to evacuate all personnel from the island for their own safety."

"How am I going in?" He asked.

"The Omnidroid's defenses necessitate an air drop from 5,000 feet. It's cloaking devices make it difficult to track. Although, we're pretty sure it's on the southern half of the island. Oh, one more thing. Obviously it represents a significant investment..."

"You want me to shut it down without completely destroying it." Mr. Incredible cut in.

Mirage chuckled. "You are Mr. Incredible."

...

Mr. Incredible strapped himself down and was ready to be loaded into the pod that would drop him onto the island. However, while he was sliding into the pod, his stomach got stuck.

The man pressed the button multiple times before he was finally able to get Mr. Incredible in there.

"I've got to warn you, it's a learning robot. Every moment you spend fighting it, only increases its knowledge of how to beat you." Mirage warned.

"Shut it down. Do it quickly. Don't destroy it." He recited.

"And don't die." She added.

"Great. Thanks."

And with that, he was shot out of the jet and flew towards the island.

Mr. Incredible landed on the island and broke out of the pod. Now he was running through the jungle trying to locate the robot.

Eventually, he came across a tree that had scratch marks on it, and spotted a large print in the ground.

Before Mr. Incredible even had time to plan his next move, the giant robot came up behind him, breaking trees away in the process.

The robot reached his claws out to grab him, one even slicing a tear through his uniform. He jumped over the robot and punched it into a tree. However, the robot got up and ran right at him again.

He tried to jump over it, but the robot anticipated that move and knocked him to the ground.

The robot then became a ball and started rolling towards him. Mr. Incredible ran as fast as he could and jumped of a cliff and slid down the sides.

The robot followed after him, and began throwing heavy rocks. Mr. Incredible dodged these rocks, and jumped further down until he came to an area that had lava.

The robot extended one of its limbs and tried to push him into the pool of lava, but he managed to move out of the way, and toss the robot in instead.

Mr. Incredible laughed, and went to turn away, but something cracked in his back.

"Oh, Ooh, my back!"

Suddenly the bot burst out of the lava. He grabbed Mr. Incredible and started to stretch him out, which coincidentally fixed his back.

He laughed at the fact, and broke off the robots hand. He then went underneath the robot, and it lowered its scanner to the bottom half of its body to try and look for Mr. Incredible.

Mr. Incredible then took this opportunity to rip the scanner out and climb inside the robot. The bot used its limbs to poke multiple holes in its body trying get to Mr. Incredible. Eventually, it managed to yank out its own power center and fell to the ground.

Mr. Incredible smugly climbed out of it and walked away, proud of his work.

Unbeknownst to him, a robot bird was watching his every move, and Mirage and another strange man were looking through the bird's eye.

"Amazing. We must bring him back. Sound the all clear, and invite him to dinner." The mysterious man ordered.

...

Mr. Incredible came out of the elevator dressed in a suit and he opened the door to where he and Mirage would be having dinner. There was a table set up for two and to the left of the room was a giant wall of lava.

The lava wall opened and Mr. Incredible watched as Mirage exited through the entrance talking to a mysterious man.

Mirage came over to the door and Mr. Incredible pretended like he had just gotten out of the elevator.

"At I overdressed?" He asked.

"Actually, you look rather dashing." She complimented.

...

The two sat at a very long table enjoying their meal.

"I take it our host is..."

"I'm sorry. He won't be dining with us. He hopes you'll understand."

"Of course. I do usually make it a point to know who I'm working for."

"He prefers a certain amount of anonymity. Surely, you of all people understand that." Mirage told him.

"I was just wondering, if all the places to settle down, why live..."

"With a volcano? He's attracted to power. So am I. It's a weakness we share." Mirage smiled.

"Seems a bit unstable."

"I prefer to think of it as misunderstood."

"Aren't we all?" Mr. Incredible chuckled.

"Volcanic soil is among the most fertile on Earth. Everything at the table was grown right here." Mirage explained. "How does it compare."

"Everything's delicious." Mr. Incredible raised his glass.
