"Don't you dare"Ella warns me as I hold the whipped cream in my hands we were baking a cake but now we're just having a food fight instead "oops"I laugh as I throw the whipped cream she laughs wiping it off her eyes "I hate you"she giggles shaking her head "I love you too"I laugh
"Cake making went well"I snap my head to the door were Perrie is standing there with the twins on her hips "yep"I mutter looking down "hey we got closer than last time"Ella says shrugging,last time we didn't even start this time we cracked an egg into a bowl "yeah cracking an egg into a bowl you got really far"Perrie says sarcastically and then laughs putting down the twins and picking up the flour covered bowl "what are meant to do for cake now idiots?"she asks raising her eyebrows,I'm not sure what we were even making a cake for? "We'll go buy one"I shrug she rolls her eyes motion for us to follow her and grabbing Ashton's and Luke's hands

"Why are we having it in our house?"Ella asks Perrie as people start coming in to the house for a party "because it's your best friend birthday and you two trashed my kitchen"Perrie tells us and then I remember it's James birthday oops "and we're sorry about that"I tell her shrugging "let's just have fun and hangover or not you two are cleaning it tomorrow"she laughs to herself her fault for leaving us to make a cake she walks away going over to Zayn
"Wanna sit in the corner?"Ella asks as we walk out side the garden is already quite crowded and there's only a quarter of the people invited "defiantly"I say grabbing her hand and leading her to this 'secret' corner,it's the back corner of the garden and theres like 5 trees and a tiny gap that you can hardly see once you get through the gap you can see out and no one can see in so it's quite cool to have especially for times like this

We both sit down with our backs resting on the fence I look down at Ella whos placed her head on my shoulder I wrap my arm around her shoulders just enjoying the moment all you can hear is people chatting and the music that's being played through the speakers "can you believe it's been six years"Ella says looking down at the engagement ring and then up at me I shake my head "for six years I've been the most luckiest lad in the world"I smile as she blushes ,I really am a lucky guy I'm literally living the dream I have my dream job and my dream girl nothing could be better

I lean on the tree as I watch the party go on it's been going on for about five hours,me and Jace sat out for two then got dragged out by Riele and Max then i lost Jace in the crowd and decided to just stand out again "get off him"I hear a girl scream and roll my eyes two girls fighting over a boy is probably what's going on it always happens at parties,it's quite embarrassing for girls "he has a fiancé"she screams again and that's when I try to find where it's going on,everyone turns to that direction and I try to get through the crowd "so fuck his fiancé he's mine now"I hear a familiar voice shout "no I'm not"I freeze when I hear another familiar voice shout I shake my head running out of the crowd and into the house "wow Ella what's wrong"I hear someone say and I'm picked up "erm...I..."I mutter trying to wriggle out of the grip which only gets stronger "Ella tell me"my face then becomes full of confusion I turn my head seeing Jace standing there looking just as confused as I am "what...I thought...oh"I stutter Jace puts me down pulling me into a hug "babs"he mutters using my nickname that only he uses for me "what's the matter?"he asks I take a deep breath

A silver capsule trailing bright photonic sails is captured by a net of grav beams and guided with care bordering on reverence into the station. Holoscreens across the headquarters project an image of the sleek craft settling in the bay. Data connections are established and the holoscreens blink to white. Slowly an image forms on the screen. Across the headquarters people stare in wonder as a wholly alien face stares back. "Contact established. Welcome to the universe."
