《The Gray Brothers✔️ (Wattpad version)》First date mishaps

I still couldn't believe I was going on a date with Nash. It was a little weird. I grew up next door to him my whole life, and he and his brothers used to run over my barbies with their remote control cars. Here I was going out with him on a date. He was also my first kiss. Yep, the infamous food fight in the kitchen was when I had my first kiss, not knowing what I was doing when it happened.
I finished getting ready as Nate was laying down some ground rules for Nash.
"No inappropriate touching, no roaming hands, no going past first base, and no pressure," he told Nash.
"Whose father are you? Shouldn't fathers encourage their sons to do inappropriate things with a girl?"
"Most of the time, yeah, but this is the first time I had to act like a father figure to a teen girl." He sat down next to Nash. "I got to tell you, son. It isn't easy to juggle two different kids. On the one hand, I want to give you fatherly advice, but I also want to protect Maggie."
"It sucks, doesn't it?"
"You have no idea."
Pat helped me get ready, and when we finished, we came down the stairs. Nash and Nate both stood up. I looked at Pat. "Any advice?"
"Yeah, don't get pregnant."
I gave her a weird look. Okay, excellent advice, Pat. I walked over to Nash, and we both left for our date.
"Well, that went well," Nate said.
As we walked to the car, Nash asked me, "What was with the weird look you had?"
I opened my door and answered, "I asked your mom for advice."
"And?"
"She said not to get pregnant."
He chuckled as we both got into the car and went to dinner. Nash drove and pulled up to a diner. We got out of the car and went inside to find a booth to sit in. As we sat there looking at the menu, we heard a familiar voice. "You got to be kidding me?"
Both of us looked up to see Bryson standing there. "Couldn't you find some other place to eat?"
"Well, considering this place is inexpensive, and we're hungry? No," Nash said.

"What if I don't want to serve you?"
"Then I suggest you get us a manager, you tool," he said with a smirk.
"Whatever. What do you want?"
Nash looked at me, and I said, "I'll have a burger, fries, and a chocolate milkshake."
"That sounds good. I'll have the same."
"Fine. I'll be right back."
"Oh, and Bryson," Nash stopped him. "Don't even think about spitting in our food or anything else you have planned, or I'll beat the shit out of you."
Bryson's shoulders slumped as he made his way to the kitchen. I couldn't help but laugh.
Once our food arrived, we ate and talked. I found out that Nash and I had a lot in common with similar tastes, ranging from movies to books to music. He spoke about what it was like to backpack through Europe, and listening to him made me smile. We also talked about the stuff we did as kids. Reflecting on it, I had to admit it was funny.
After eating, we went to the movies, and I took it easy on Nash and picked an action movie. We found our seats, and I started playing with the armrest buttons, moving my chair.
"What are you doing?" He asked me.
"I'm pretending to be Sully from Monsters, Inc." I grinned.
He chuckled. "Okay, I'll admit that it's adorable."
"Come to the dark side. We got cookies." I smirked.
Nash laughed even harder.
"Will you shut up?" Someone asked from the back.
Nash got up and looked over the back of his chair. "Nathan, I'm going to beat your ass!"
"Dude, chill, it was a joke!"
I got up and looked over the back of my seat. "Seriously? Was it necessary for the four of you to follow us?"
"Blame, Dad. He didn't want you to do anything inappropriate. Enjoy making out!" Noah said.
"And Ma doesn't want you knocked up!" Nixon said.
I lowered my face into the back of the seat. Why does this happen to me? Oh, that's right. I agreed to go out on a date with one of the Gray brothers, which meant going out with all of them.
"I wouldn't mind if they made out. Free porn," Nolan roared.

"Nolan, you're such a perv!" Nixon said.
Noah hauled off and smacked him upside the back of his head.
Nash looked at me. "Welcome to the family, Mags."
I arched an eyebrow and groaned. Welcome to the family indeed.
We snuck out of the movie theater before the boys caught us, and Nash drove us to a secluded spot. I looked around and then at him, "You won't kill me, will you?"
"What? No. You've been watching too many movies," he said with an eye roll.
"Okay, then you won't try to knock me up, will you?"
"Sure, and have my parents kill me. No, thanks."
"Then what are you going to do?"
"This." He pulled me to him and kissed me. We kissed for a while, then he stopped.
"Did I do something wrong?"
"No."
"I did. I'm a terrible kisser." I sighed.
"What? No, you're a great kisser."
"Then why did you stop kissing me?"
Don't judge. You were all thinking the same thing.
"Because I have a crucial question to ask you."
"You won't propose, will you? Because, well, this is our first date, and that would be a kind of sudden."
"Mags, you must be a couple for a long time before that happens."
"What?"
He gave me a look then I realized what he meant.
"Are you asking me to be your girlfriend?"
"Well, does this mean you accept?"
My eyes widened. "You want me to be your girlfriend?"
"Well, that what a couple means."
"What about that girl at the apple orchard?"
"Sarah?"
"Yeah."
"Sarah is my ex, and she's engaged to a buddy of mine."
"Oh."
He gave me a look. Now I felt like a tool.
"FYI, jealousy is a good look on you. Your nose scrunches up, and you get these little lines right here." Nash pointed to an area between his eyebrows. I couldn't help but laugh as he smiled at me.
"You were my first kiss."
His brows raised. "Really?"
"Hello? I pined for a tool for four years."
He chuckled. "Well, I hope I'm your first and your last kiss," he said, and my cheeks heated. I covered my cheeks, and he pulled my hands from them. "Don't. I love it when you blush." That made me blush even more, and he smiled.
As we looked at each other, we heard a knock on the window. Nash unrolled the window, and someone flashed a light at him.
"Excuse us, sir, but you're in an unauthorized area," a deep voice said.
"What?" He looked through squinted eyes at the person.
"That means you're in a place you shouldn't be, you tool. Damn, you're dumb."
Nash gripped the steering wheel. "Nix, I'll kill you if you don't get that light off of me," Nash spoke through gritted teeth.
He turned it off and leaned in. "Did you ask Maggie?"
Nash gave him a look. "What do you think?"
"Did she say yes?" Noah asked him.
Nash looked at me. "Did you say yes?"
"Yep," I answered.
He turned and looked at them. "Mags said yes."
"You didn't knock her up, did you?" Nathan asked him.
"I have no words for you," Nash replied.
"Just checking." Nathan smirked.
"So, does this mean I can't steal her bras anymore?" Nolan asked him.
"Nolan, when did you ever steal her bras?" Nash asked him.
"You never mind. I said nothing."
He looked at me, and I said, "I'll fill you in later."
"I missed a lot when I left."
"More than you know." I giggled.
"Now, if you idiots don't mind, I'm taking my girl home."
The brothers stepped back while he started the car and pulled out of the area.
"You know what this means," Nathan said.
"Oh, yeah," they all said, "fresh meat."
"Nash is so going to kill us." Noah sighed.
"Eh, he'll get over it," Nixon said.
"This should be good." Nathan rubbed his hands together.
Yep, the brothers had plans for us so they could have a little fun of their own. What they weren't aware of was they had met their match with me. Bring it on, boys, bring it on.

A Girl and Her Food
When a lost girl wakes up without a name, she quickly finds herself alone in a way that people around her can’t fix. Without a real plan and desperate to find what’s wrong with her, she thrashes and bites to stay alive. But human beings are weak things, that band together for strength, no matter who we are. Now if only she could work up the courage to ask one question... It’s normal to get stronger when you drink the blood of monsters. Right? Things to expect: - A powerful but kinda neurotic and emotional protagonist, with some degree of weak to strong. Or maybe strong to stronger, honestly. She's pretty rational and practical about things but won't always make the best decisions, so be warned if you super-dislike characters doing dumb stuff for emotional reasons sometimes. - Lots of dialogue and characterization, especially as we get more into it. It's focused on a single POV, but there might be some sections of other POVs later on, I'm not sure right now. - Magic is on the softer side, but I'll try to keep things fleshed out enough to avoid any obvious "well-established magic could have seemingly instantly solved this problem" moments. - I didn't add the mystery tag because I feel like it implies that this is a detective novel or something, but the story is absolutely incredibly opaque at times. So you'll have the most fun if you go into it trying to puzzle out the nature of events before they're explicitly explained!😇 - Also, I added the genre for completion, but it's gonna take a while to get to the romance. Please wait warmly and have some tea. Participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge!
