Kai stared at the ground, a bit puzzled. He was trying to figure out what had happen between Kuroo and (Y/N). It was obvious that they had bumped into each other the other day when Kuroo left to go to the nurses office.
"Hey, are you okay?" Kuroo asked, noticing the spaced out volleyball player.
"Oh, yeah. I'm fine." Kai replied.
"You sure?" Kuroo continued, a bit concerned for his friend. Kai stared at him for a couple of seconds.
"You asked about, (L/N) the other day." Kai began, making Kuroo nod his head,"Did anything strange happen?" he continued.
"Strange?" Kuroo questioned.
"I mentioned your name, now she's acting a bit weird." Kai replied, not noticing Yaku walking up to them.
"What are we talking about?" Yaku asked, jumping into the conversation.
"Nobody."
"My friend."
Kuroo and Kai spoke at the same time, making Yaku stare at them with confusion. The libero raised his eyebrow with curiosity.
"(L/N)?" Yaku questioned, making Kai nod his head.
"Hey! You're just going to believe Kai?" Kuroo complained,"I'm your friend too y'know." he continued.
"Why are we talking about (L/N)?" Yaku asked, brushing Kuroo off.
"She started acting weird when I mentioned Kuroo's name." Kai explained.
"Did you do something?" Yaku questioned, eyeing Kuroo suspiciously.
"No! I just tried making small conversation, she ran away when I tried to introduce myself. Which was kinda....rude." Kuroo replied, muttering the last part.
"Oh, huh," Kai paused,"She probably didn't mean that. She's just doesn't really like....strangers?" he tried to explained, earning a nod from Yaku. The libero remembering the few times he had spoke to her.
"Yeah, I think she just needs to warm up to you. She's actually pretty nice....unlike you." Yaku exclaimed, insulting Kuroo.

"Hey, at least I'm nicer than you." Kuroo retorted.
"Did you want to become friends with her?" Kai question, making Kuroo's face flush a bit.
"I mean you two are friends, no?" Kuroo reasoned. Suddenly, the loud noise of a whistle caught their attention. All the volleyball members began walking onto the court. Kuroo followed and began practicing with the rest of the team, but he was barely focused.
Was she scared of me?
I can't be that scary....right?
......but she did run away.

Friday 6:09 PM
The whole volleyball team stepped out of the school, their practice had ended and now they were making their way home to enjoy the weekend. As per usual, Kuroo was walking home with Kenma, who was concentrated on the screen of his PSP.
I'm scary?
The third year had been thinking about this all throughout practice. Kuroo always thought that he was good at making first impressions. This being the first bad one he made, even if it wasn't his own fault. He glanced over at his shorter friend, who wore a determined expression.
"Hey, Kenma. Am I scary?" Kuroo asked. Kenma only hummed in response, making it clear that he didn't hear Kuroo's question at all.
"Kenma?" Kuroo questioned, looking over to the setter. He let out a sigh, realizing Kenma was completely zoned into his game.
"Oi, Kenma." Kuroo repeated, his voice a bit louder. His mouth turned into a frown as Kenma ignored him this time, furiously pressing the buttons on the console.
"Kenma."
"Kozume."
"Pudding head."
"Hey, stop ignoring me."
Kuroo repeated over and over again, trying to get his friends attention. Finally, Kenma's screen displayed a 'game over' and he turned to look at his taller friend.

"What?" Kenma questioned.
"Do you think I'm scary?" Kuroo asked again, a bit frustrated.
"No." Kenma replied.
"I mean, like, when you first met me." The third year persisted.
"No, you were actually really shy." He replied, attempting to restarting his game. Kuroo let out a sigh, seemingly not satisfied with the answer he was given.
"Why are you even asking?" Kenma asked, as he was going through the game settings.
"There was a girl that ran away from me." Kuroo replied, recalling the events.
"What did you do?" Kenma mumbled.
"Nothing! I just tried introducing myself." Kuroo explained, he watched as Kenma changed a couple things in his game before resuming.
"Did you look at her weird?" Kenma asked.
"I don't think so......my nose was bleeding." Kuroo answered, trying to remember any details. He crossed his arms, still not understanding what he had missed.
"Oh, you met her on Wednesday?" Kenma questioned.
"Yeah, at the nurses office." Kuroo exclaimed, allowing Kenma to slowly connect the dots.
"Kuroo......you probably looked like a delinquent." Kenma finally explained.
"What? Why would I look like one?" Kuroo questioned, not understanding. Kenma pressed a few buttons quickly, dishing out combos.
"I mean, you were in your normal uniform and you had a bloodily nose. She probably assumed you got into a fight or something." Kenma muttered. Kuroo eyes widened as he heard his friend's explanation.
She thinks I'm a delinquent?
Kuroo let out a frustrated groan, running his fingers through his black hair, realizing he probably blew the only chance he had with the girl.
"So, who is she?" Kenma asked, making Kuroo's face flush.
"Nobody."
