(Y/N) patiently waited for the rest of the volleyball team, she had spent her free time just doing homework in her clubroom. It was a bit scary, but she knew that Kohaku had been suspended and that he wasn't allowed on school for a few weeks.
But it still scared her, she'd occasionally check the door every now and then. At least now she was meeting up with the rest of her friends. Hearing chatter, (Y/N)'s ears perked up and she glanced over to her left. She watched as a group of tall volleyball players made their way over to her.
"(Y/N)!" Lev exclaimed, throwing his arms in the air and rushing forward.
"Watch it." Yaku muttered, almost getting hit by Lev's elbow.
"Oh, Lev, are you okay?" (Y/N) asked, he only stared at her with confused eyes.
"Didn't you get hit in the head with a volleyball?" She exclaimed.
"Oh, yeah, I did. How did you know?" Lev replied.
"Kuroo told me." (Y/N) explained, staring worriedly at him. She went on the tips of her toes, trying to pat his head. Lev crouched down a bit and (Y/N) gave him a soft pet.
"I hope you're feeling better-"
"Yeah, Lev, how is your head?" Kuroo interrupted, grabbing the first year by the shoulders and pulling him away from (Y/N).
"It's fine now." Lev replied, puzzled. (Y/N) watched as Kuroo dragged Lev away from her, Yamamoto also ran after them, smacking Lev's back. She frowned as her walking buddy was taken away from her. But she quickly shrugged it off, walking with Kenma and Yaku instead.
"You and Kuroo seem close." Yaku commented, the shorter boy nudging (Y/N).
"Yeah, we're f-friends." (Y/N) stammered.
"Just friends?" Yaku questioned, his eyes shining with curiosity.

"Yeah, yup, friends." (Y/N) frantically exclaimed.
"Really, I thought...never mind." Yaku shrugged off. The whole group eventually made it to the train station and all stood on the platform, waiting. They all stood there making small talk about school and other various subjects. But then the conversation took a sudden turn to volleyball.
Though, (Y/N) wasn't surprised and even knew a couple things. Hanging out with Kai indirectly prepared her for this conversation.
"OH! (Y/N), we have a practice match this week." Lev exclaimed, excitedly,"You should come and watch us play." He suggested.
"I don't think I'll be allow to, Lev." (Y/N) pointed out.
"Yeah, she probably can't come." Kenma muttered, making Lev's face fall and almost instantly, (Y/N) felt bad for the first year.
"Sorry, Lev." (Y/N) apologized,"I'll come to the official matches though." She reassured, making Lev's eyes light up. He held out his pinky towards the girl.
"Promise?" He asked, making (Y/N) laugh.
"I promise." (Y/N) exclaimed, hooking her pinky on to his. Once they let go, (Y/N)'s hand dropped to her side and Kuroo nonchalantly intertwined their hands. (Y/N)'s face became slightly flushed, but she didn't let go. The warmth of his hand contrasted greatly with her cold one.
None of the other volleyball players seem to notice, to engrossed in their conversation. And Lev somehow got into another argument with Yaku, the two beginning to bicker. Only, Kenma, who slightly glanced over saw the intertwined hand and a small smile appeared on his face.
The sound of the train approaching, made the (Y/N) let go of his hand as the group go on the train. (Y/N) instantly missed the warmth of his hand, sad that she had to let go. In the crowded train, the group got separated a bit and Kuroo ended up next to Kenma.

"Congrats." Kenma muttered.
"Hm?" Kuroo asked, confused.
"Congratulations, Kuroo." Kenma repeated,"You two are dating, no?" Kenma clarified.
"...I...I forgot to ask her." Kuroo muttered, realizing they had only confessed to each other. Kenma let out a sigh and rolled his eyes.
"But she likes you right?" Kenma questioned.
"Yeah." Kuroo replied, his mood changing instantly.
"......you really are slimly." Kenma muttered, staring at his now smitten friend.
"What does that even mean?"

Warhammer 40,000: Mind over Matter
Set in the Warhammer 40k universe, but accessible to those unfamiliar with the setting. The Imperium of Man has been fighting the Long War for ten thousand years. It is a war fought simultaneously across thousands of stars and against innumerable enemies. On smoke-filled battlefields and in the cold emptiness of the void the military might of the Imperium stands strong in the face of horrifying foes. It is not a war fought to conquer new lands, or to seize the wealth of enemy nations. It is a war fought to hold what they have, or to regain what they have already lost. The world of Nova Iberia is far from that war and supports the Imperium by sending her finest sons to foreign stars to fight and die as elite commandos in the Imperial Guard. A chance discovery on the corpse of one of these commandos has cast doubts around the world's loyalty, and has drawn the attention of the Imperial Inquisition. The seekers of the Alien, the Heretic and the Daemon have descended upon this peaceful world, and they will not leave it intact. Primaris Psyker Amelia Lafayette was a ward of the state, now bound as an acolyte to the Inquisition in recognition of her telepathic gifts. To be honest I will just write and upload whenever i feel like it, but if i find it getting relative success I can try write a bit more. This will just be a write, read then upload kind of thing for me while i try to flesh out more worldbuilding. I'm pretty novice when it comes to writing just a few years of secondary english under my belt but hardly any of that's creative. NGL, a lot of this world building is inspired by Tower of God or other fiction i have read, especially the tower-like setting.
