《Return Of The Nerd|||| COMPLETED》Chapter 14- Meeting The Parents

Sebastian Hernandez's Point of View:
I pulled up to Ria's house and shut off the engine. I was currently in my father's Urus pickup truck since the back can open up and my car can't. He loaned it to me with the promise that I would tell my mom about Ria soon. I was putting off the whole meet the parent's thing because I didn't want Ria to get spooked and leave but now I'm meeting her parents first and I'm super nervous.
I looked over to the passenger seat and picked up the bouquet of roses that I got for Ria. She might think the whole roses and violets poem is outdated but roses are still her favorite flower. Opening my door I shut it behind me and walked up the steps and knocked on the door twice. I waited patiently before the door was ripped open and I saw Michael standing in front of me.
"Hey dude," he chirped as he walked out and shut the door behind him.
I looked at him confused as to why he didn't tell his sister I was here.
"Anna's almost ready," he grinned "she sent me out here to warn you"
"Warn me?"
"She's daddy's little princess so you have your work cut out for you today, our dad has to like you for this to work"
Well shit now I'm even more nervous, "thanks a lot, I wasn't at all worried"
"No problem," he grinned as my sarcasm completely went over his head.
"Good luck," he laughed as he once again opened the door but this time we both walked inside.
As soon as I walked in I was met with the hard stare of Mr. Rodriguez. Yeah, I need more than some luck right now. I could practically hear my heart pumping out of my chest as I walked up to him.

"It is great to meet you, Mr. Rodriguez," I stretched out my hand for a handshake "Ria has said so much about you"
He looked at me for a second and I looked down at my outstretched hand feeling even more nervous as he did nothing. I could hear Michael snickering from behind me but I didn't dare to turn and look at him. Then a woman who I presumed to be Ria's mom walked into the room and laughed as she saw me with my hand still outstretched.
"Give up the act love," she laughed "you aren't scaring anyone"
I looked back and forth between the two as Mr. Rodriguez rolled his eyes.
"You always ruin my fun," he whined to her and turn to face me.
He grabbed my hand and gave me a firm shake. I almost wished he ignored me from how tight his grip was but my mom didn't raise a wimp so I stood there and held my ground.
My eyes widened in surprise when he laughed and pulled me into a hug. I shifted the flowers to the side so they wouldn't get crushed.
"I'm watching you," he whispered into my ear.
I gulp as he released me only to laugh at the terrified look on my face.
"I'm just messing with you Sebastian, lighten up, I haven't had the chance to play the protective father in a while"
"Oh haha," I murmured under my breath as I tried to school my looks into one of complete calm.
"Sebastian darling," Mrs. Rodriguez pulled me towards her and into a tight hug.
"Mrs. Rodriguez, it's so nice to meet you" I smiled "congratulations on the baby"
"Why didn't I get a congratulations?" Mr. Rodriguez spoke up "I helped create him you know"

Mrs. Rodriguez rolled her eyes, "ignore him, and we don't know what the gender is yet"
I decided it would be better if I didn't comment and just nodded my head in understanding.
"I'll go get Anna," she murmured as she moved to go to the stairs.
"I'll do it," Mr. Rodriguez jumped up walking up the stairs.
"My eyes will get stuck if I keep having to roll them," she muttered.
"So Sebastian I hear you're helping my daughter get her revenge on Jeremy"
Ria told me that her dad was all aboard the revenge train but her mom didn't understand her need to get revenge and that she wanted her to just move on so I don't know how to approach the conversation right now.
"I am helping her," I replied cautiously.
"Good"
"Come again," I was shocked didn't she hate it.
She smiled softly, "at first I thought that she was just wasting her time on him but he hurt her and she wants him to feel the pain she felt, I can understand that now"
"Thanks for understanding mom"
I looked past Mrs. Rodriguez to find Ria and her father standing there. I didn't even hear them walk down the stairs. She walked over to her mom and pulled her into a hug. Ria looked absolutely stunning in her black skinny jeans with a sheer black top, her leather jacket, and combat boots.
Damn! I hit the jackpot with her.
I watched as she stepped away from her mom to walk to me.
"Hey," she spoke softly.
"Hi,
"You look devastatingly beautiful"
She blushed at my words and pushed a strand of hair behind her ear, "thank you, you look handsome"
"These for me?" her eyes widened at the flowers in my hand.
"A little unoriginal," she laughed "I love them thank you, lemme put them in water"
She walked away quickly to put the roses in some water. I'm glad she liked them. Her mom was crying silently as she watch us. Mr. Rodriguez held her and tried to console her.
"you guys are so cute," she cried "damn hormones"
Ria walked back into the room and leaned down until she was face to face with her moms baby bump, "stop giving mama trouble"
She walked over to me and grabbed my hand squeezing it lightly, "let's go"
"Don't keep my princess out late," Mr. Rodriguez yelled.
"He won't," Ria yelled back.
I looked back at him to see him raise his fingers to point at his eyes and then to me and back at his eyes. He was clearly saying I'm watching you.
I guess he wasn't joking after all.
