Adrianna Rodriguez's Point of View:

I couldn't be bothered to wait to park the car so as soon as we pulled up to the hospital I was out like a shot. Michael and Matt ran after me while Rex and Katy parked the car. I ran up to the reception area and addressed the receptionist.

"I'm here to see Sebastian Hernandez he was just taken in"

She looked at me, "are you his family?"

"No, but I-"

She cut me off, "I'm sorry but unless you are related to the patient I'm afraid I can't release any of his information"

My hands itched to reach over and just strangle her, "are you serious right now?"

"He's my boyfriend," I cried angrily "tell me what's happening to him"

She rolled her eyes, "well he's not your husband so I can't help you"

I jumped on top of the table ready to grab the bitch but Michael and Matt grabbed me before I could inflict any damage.

"Please keep her under control or I'll be forced to call security," she rolled her eyes.

I moved to grab her again but I stopped in my tracks when I saw Jacob walking down the hall towards us. I stood still bracing myself for whatever he was about to tell me, hopefully, it was good news.

"Jacob," I breathed "how is he?"

He puffed out a breath and lead me towards the chairs in the corner, "I don't know"

"What do you mean by that?" I started to become restless "didn't you come with him?"

"I did," he replied softly "but they went inside with him and I haven't seen him since, I phone his parents on the way over, they were in the area so they're with him now"

My eyes teared up when Jacob told me that he was in surgery. I was hoping that it wasn't that serious but it was, he had to have surgery. Who knows what's happening to him right now. As if noticing the dark abyss that I was slipping into he squeezed my hand.

"There's some good news"

"There is?" I asked skeptically.

He nodded, "He regained consciousness on the drive over here"

"That's great!"

"It is," he agreed with me, "he told me to tell you something too"

"He's not breaking up with me is he?" I asked nervously.

He laughed, "he said you would say that"

A blush settled on my cheeks, even while injured Seb was still messing around.

"Well, what did he say?" I asked impatiently smiling at the thought of Sebastian saying that.

Jacob paused before speaking again, "he said to tell you that what happened wasn't your fault and to tell you that he loves you"

"He what?" I asked shocked.

"He said he loves you"

My brain didn't know how to process what I just heard and so I tuned out Jacob after that. As if he could hear my thoughts he remained silent and just sat there with me. My entire being was stuck between a place of shock and utter disbelief.

Sebastian loves me. Even after everything that happened he loves me.

Hearing that he said he loved me filled me with happiness and guilt. I felt incredibly happy that someone as handsome and caring as Sebastian could love someone as broken as me. My guilt stemmed from knowing that he warned me that something bad could happen but I ignored it and kept on my stupid path for revenge.

I thought that if anything bad were to happen that it would happen to me and I was ready to face the consequences. In the end something bad thing happen but it happened to Seb instead of me. He didn't deserve this at all, I was the one who should've been in the hospital not him.

I marveled at the fact that he could still have feelings for me and tried to make sure I was okay while he was the one suffering. The mere fact that he knew that I was blaming myself for what happened is a clear indication that he knew me better than I knew myself. I was determined to be the confident girl that Seb knows me as and to not resort to the scared girl I was a year ago.

I looked to my right to find Jacob staring ahead of him. I reached over to squeeze his hand to in some way offer him some comfort. He looked over to me with a small smile and nodded his head in thanks. Just then Rex and Katy barged into the building, took them long enough.

"I'm going to let him know what's happening," Jacob sighed as he looked at a worried Rex.

"Go," I told him softly.

The boys were so close and I knew that this was affecting them just as hard or even harder than it was affecting me. I refused to be selfish and act as if I was the only one who cared about Seb. Michael came to sit beside me, occupying the space that Jacob had just vacated.

"So I called dad to let him know what happened"

I cursed under my breath. I had forgotten that I should've called my parents. Thank the Lord I wasn't an only child or else my parents would have murdered me if they heard the news from someone else. I was the emotional wreck in this equation and Michael was the calm level headed woman. Thankfully he was smart enough to call dad and not mom because if my pregnant mother was to find out about this she'd catch a fit.

"What did he say?" I asked already scared for the answer.

"He said that you shouldn't worry, that he isn't mad, and that you and he would have a talk when he gets here"

"He's coming here?" my voice rose in pitch.

He nodded in confirmation, "mom is asleep so they'll be here tomorrow"

I blew out a breath, at least I had a couple of hours left to live. I leaned my head against Michael's shoulder and left the world to drift away from me as I closed my eyes, hopefully, there would be news on Sebastian soon.

"Anna wake up"

"What?" I groaned.

"Time to wake up"

I rolled my head to the side and used my hand to wipe my face. I slowly opened my eyes and blinked rapidly at the bright light. As my eyes focused on my surroundings I remembered where I was and most importantly why I was there.

"Crap how long was I asleep?" I asked Michael.

"Around 2 hours"

"What?!" I exclaimed, "why'd you let me sleep that long?"

"Is Seb okay?"

"I've never heard someone call him Seb before," an unknown voice spoke up.

I turned my head to the side so fast that I almost got whiplash. A woman and man were standing to the side watching me. The woman had pale skin and blue eyes with blond hair while the man had dark hair brown eyes and brown skin. Looking at them I could see Sebastian's features and I instantly knew that they were his parents. I jumped to my feet and walked over to them. I probably looked terrible but I had to at least try to give a somewhat good first impression.

I stretched out my hand for them to shake, "Mr. and Mrs. Hernandez, it is a pleasure to meet you, I wish it were under better circumstances"

They looked at my hand then at each other before surprising me with a group hug.

"Oh honey it's so nice to meet you," Mrs. Hernandez smiled as they pulled away "of course, some people knew about you before me but I'm not one to hold a grudge"

I looked over at Mr. Hernandez who was mouthing to me 'she's lying'

I almost laughed at what was happening in front of me. Sebastian's family would be entertaining, to say the least.

"I don't mean to sound ansty but what about Sebastian?"

"Oh he's okay," his mom brushed off the subject.

"Really?" I asked hopefully.

"Oh yeah he just had a fracture on his skull," she answered nonchalantly.

I blinked at her in shock how could she be so calm about this, "excuse me did you say he had a fracture on his skull?"

"Yep, a basal fracture to be exact"

I looked around me to see my brother, Matt, and Katy looks just as clueless as me in regards to how calm this lady was being. Rex and Jacob didn't look the slightest bit shocked at her reaction.

I couldn't control what came out of my mouth next, "are you on crack?"

Mr. Hernandez burst out laughing while Mrs. Hernandez pouted at him.

"I internalize things dear, don't worry I'm not crazy, I already cried about it and I'll probably cry about it again when I'm home" she spoke calmly "the doctors don't need me to lose it here"

It was then that I noticed that her eyes were red and puffy. I instantly felt like a jerk for assuming things.

"I'm so sorry"

"It's quite alright dear," she patted me on the shoulder "let us update you on what you missed"

When Sebastian got here they rushed him off to get a CAT scan where it was determined that he had a skull fracture, a basal skull fracture to be exact. Mr. and Mrs. Hernandez consented to surgery because there was an excessive leakage of cerebrospinal fluid (the liquid that cushions and surrounds the brain and spinal cord) from the nose and ears. They fixed that and it turns out that the blood we were seeing came from his back which had a cut on it from the fall, so all in all he was going to be okay.

I breathed a sigh of relief at that, I don't know what I would have done if I had lost him.

"He's asking for you," his dad told me.

"You mean he's awake?"

He nodded.

"Yes, I want to see him," I almost yelled.

"Let me show you to his room," Mrs. Hernandez smiled slightly.

She took me to his room and left me there so that I could speak with him alone. I hesitated briefly before finding the courage to go in. I was shocked by what I saw.
