Adrianna Rodriguez's Point of View:
When we arrived home I was surprised to find the place spotless. I had no idea that Chris and Sarah were such cleaning experts. I could see some of the decors were in the wrong place but I didn't think mom minded because she just looked around and headed straight for bed and of course, dad followed her.
"I didn't know they were so good with cleaning," I whispered to Michael who looked dead on his feet "this place was a mess the last time I saw it"
His eyes widened in surprise, "are you kidding me they didn't clean all of this?"
Now I was confused wasn't that what they came to do here, "but wasn't that what they came here to do?"
"Yeah but I hired some cleaners to help," he ran a hand down his face "by the way you owe me $50"
He walked past me just to fumble up the stairs. He doesn't operate well with no sleep. I on the other hand felt pumped and decided to rearrange the decor to how they were before. I know mom didn't say anything about it just now but she probably just didn't see it.
As I walked by the stairs I saw my phone on one of the corner tables. I took it up and wiped off the screen carefully, I didn't feel any cracks on it so I hoped it wasn't damaged. Turning on the power button I breathed a sigh of relief when the phone lit up showing a picture of me and my family on it and not a single scratch. Thank you, Lord!
Suddenly there was a buzz on the phone and the message icon came across the top of the screen signaling that I got a message. I opened the phone and smiled at the photo of Sebastian and me.
I opened the message and saw that it was from Sebastian. Shouldn't he be asleep by now?
Did you arrive home safely? -Sebastian

Yeah, I did, why are you still up? you should get some rest -Adrianna
I will I just wanted to say goodnight and that I love you - Sebastian
I smiled after such a crazy relationship with Jeremy I was really enjoying all the attention and love that Sebastian was showering me with. I felt so happy just being with him.
I love you too- Adrianna
I rest the phone against my chest as I blushed like a fool. Watching my parents while I grew up I've always wanted what they have, that unconditional love for each other. I feel like I have that now with Sebastian and I would be terrified to lose it.
Setting the phone down I began rearranging the house and put everything back in its rightful place. I walked over to the kitchen and prepped dishes to bring to the barbecue tomorrow. There's no way mom would leave without bringing something and I didn't want her to stress about it. I tried to be as quiet as possible and put the extra stuff away.
I picked up my phone and checked the time to see that it was now seven in the morning. I ran a hand down my face as my adrenaline rush started to wear off and I became increasingly tired. I went to walk up the stairs but stopped immediately when I had a flashback of what happened with Seb.
I trudged over to the living room and made myself comfortable on the couch. There was no way I was going to force myself to walk up those steps tonight. I shut my eyes and willed sleep to take me.
************************************
"Wake up honey"
I groaned and shifted in my sleep. I hated being such a light sleeper.
"Come on Anna sweetheart we have to leave soon"
"Ugh fine," I rolled over only to be met with the hard floor. My eyes flew open from the impact. Luckily there were some pillows and the ground to cushion my fall.

"What the hell was that?" I groaned as I finally snapped out of my sleepy state.
Mom came over to where I was with a cup in her hand, I could see steam coming out of it.
"You fell asleep on the couch," she stated the obvious "why didn't you go up to your room?"
I slowly sat up from where I fell and rubbed my neck.
I took the cup she offered before answering her, "I couldn't go up the stairs...not after what happened last night"
"Oh honey," she cooed softly "you should've told us"
"I didn't want to wake you, what time is it anyway?" I asked as I took a sip of the hot chocolate.
Mom huffed at my sorry excuse to change the subject but she did it anyway, "it's 1:30"
Wow, so around 5 hours of sleep. That's a lot more than I expected. It was then that I noticed how quiet it was aside from us talking. There were at least six persons in the house, it shouldn't be this quiet.
"Where is everyone?"
"Your father and Michael went ahead to help get the grill started and Sarah and Chris tagged along"
"But how'd they know where to go?" I asked confused since I've never told them where Sebastian lives. I've never been there myself but he did give me the address.
"Rex didn't want to drive so he went with them"
"That does sound like Rex"
"Anyways you need to get up and ready in the next 20 minutes," she stated as she walked out of the room.
"Shit"
I threw the covers off of me which I hadn't even realized was there in the first place. Mom must have put it on me when I was asleep. I grabbed my phone and noticed there were three missed calls and ten texts from Sebastian, asking if I was okay and where I was. With time not being on my side, I ignored the texts and rushed to my room to get ready for the day.
The house was well lit and I could see the stairs in all their glory, I hadn't noticed it last night but the carpet was different and there wasn't any blood on it. Thank you cleaners. Now I didn't have to be reminded about what happened but did mom notice this as well.
"Hey mom," I yelled so she could hear me from the kitchen.
"Yes, Anna?"
"Do you like the carpet the cleaners brought in?"
"The cleaners didn't put in a new carpet, I did"
"But why?" I wasn't quite sure what her motives were.
She sighed, "because when I saw you on the couch I figured that's why you didn't go up the stairs"
I ran into the kitchen to give mom a big loving hug. Mom's knows their kids inside and out.
"Thanks, mom"
"It's no problem sweetheart"
"By the way, I prepped your signature dishes, did you see them?"
She simply rolled her eyes at the instant subject change, "yes I did, and thank you hun"
"You're welcome"
With that I went upstairs and took a shower, I got dressed and allowed my hair to air dry after adding the necessary products in it.
"You ready to go love?"
"Yeah mom I'm coming down now," I grabbed a crossbody back and stuffed my phone, charger, lip gloss, and some cash inside. Walking down the stairs I saw mom loading the car with the dishes that were in aluminum foil trays. I helped her to carry the rest.
"Is that the last one?"
She nodded and we both went to enter the car.
"You drive," mom tossed me the keys.
I happily got in the driver's seat and started the engine as I waited for mom to get in. I haven't ridden my bike in a week and I missed it terribly but this will have to do for now.
"All set?" I asked to make sure we were forgetting anything.
"Let's hit the road"
And with that, I drove off.
