feat. you deadass preparing your gift in front of the birthday boi
“woah, it sure is lively here...” (‘too lively...’)
you mumbled, stopping by the entrance.
tatsuya only smiled, “well, they're preparing for a party after all.” you blinked, “a party? that explains.” you stared at the busy crowd as tatsuya led you in. “yeah, it's someone's birthday today.”
you stopped, horrified, “it's a birthday party? and you didn't tell me? you jerk, i don't have a gift with me right now!” you shook your head (“i won't come in, tatsuya. it's gonna hurt my rich pride, i. won't.”).
tatsuya chuckled and grabbed your arm, dragging you. “that doesn't matter, that kid doesn't accept our gifts so it's basically useless to try to buy him a gift.” he said with a sad smile as you paused, “so it's a kid? and he doesn't accept his birthday gifts?” tatsuya nodded, “yeah, he doesn't. such a weird kid, right?”
“oh? tatsuya, you've arri–” the both of you turned to see a surprised reina. “oh my, i must've surprised you very much...” you trailed off, scratching your head.
“is that you, y/n..?” reina immediately dropped the banners and raced to you, grabbing your hands with a smile. “oh my, is that really you? you looked prettier!” she showers you compliments as you only giggled. “stop teasing me...” you jested as the both of you giggled.
“aah, come in, come in! we prepared a lot of food, we're having a party today, to be honest. well, i'm sure tatsuya already filled you with the details.” she trailed off, giving tatsuya a quick glance.
“yeah, he told me it's a birthday boy. aah, but i don't have a gift with me. tatsuya just dragged me from our supposed grocery shopping and didn't tell me where we were going.” you explained as reina giggled, “aah, well, that's fine. the birthday boy doesn't accept any gifts anyways.”

“yeah, that's what i heard.” you said as reina nodded with a smile, “such a stubborn kid.”
“oi, reina, what's taking you so–” a red haired male appeared from behind reina, holding a box of party poppers. his eyes suddenly widened when he noticed your presence, “woah– what is y/n l/n doing here?” (“oi, haruya, she's our guest! stop being rude!”)
“y/n l/n? she's here?” another male followed nagumo, “oh, suzuno!” you greeted and waved. “woah... it feels refreshing to see your faces.” you grinned. (“aah, i also have to go see hitomiko (san) later...”)
“so? where's the birthday boy?” you asked, trying to search amongst the crowd. “aah... about that...” reina only sighed with a frown.
“he won't come out of his room at all...”
—
it's already past lunch time and all of you were still waiting for the birthday boy to come out.
you were already given a short briefing (by ryuuji) about the birthday boy and his name turned out to be kariya masaki.
apparently, kariya became an orphan at the age of eleven. his father left him at the orphanage because he simply couldn't look after kariya anymore. too shocked, this led kariya to distance himself from the others and force himself to be independent.
“nope, i'm not having this. if we let him be, we'll have to starve til night. i'm too hungry to wait.” you said, clapping your hands as the boys looked at you. “i'll go see him.” you announced as suzuno sighed, “will he listen to you, though?”
you only sighed with a smile, flipping your hair in a jesting manner, “i'll make him. i'm basically a mother of twenty kids, compared to those big babies, this is nothing.” nagumo scoffed, teasing you, “do you think he'll even let you in with that face of yours?” tatsuya flinched and nudged nagumo (“don't do it, haruya, don't do it”).

“i don't think so. maybe you'll give him a scare instead.” nagumo grinned at you as you slowly turned to him with a look (oh dear, looks like haruya's down). “oh? looks like someone's asking for me to boil their bone marrows and mash the hell out of it and feed it to the rats? who do you think it is, nagumo?” nagumo winced and hid behind tatsuya, “n– not me...”
“well, let's see what you can do, l/n.” midorikawa said as you smiled and winked, walking upstairs and arriving in front of kariya's room. you made your presence known by knocking twice.
“who is it? i told you already, i won't come down.” you heard and chuckled. “it's me, can i come in?” you heard a few ruffles before the door clicked open, it revealed kariya peeking from behind the door.
“hey.” you waved with a small smile. “aren't you kiyama tatsuya's manager?” (‘oh look at this direspectful brat’) kariya asked as you nodded with a smile, bending down to kariya's height. “that i am.”
“oh, so you were the one who switches between 7 members as your boyfriend every day?” you blinked and pouted, “is that how the media describes me now?”
kariya only pursed his lips and opened the door widely, letting you enter his room. you looked around after closing the door shut, you noticed a soccer ball on top of the drawer. “do you play soccer?”
kariya flinched and shook his head, “no! of course not, who would play such a lame sport?” you only chuckled, taking note of his leg muscle. “yes, yes...”
it was silent in the room, with you sitting on the chair in kariya's room and him just standing still, looking down. “... are they still waiting for me?” he asks as you nodded. “yes, they've been waiting.”
“why? this is stupid, i don't get why they want to celebrate my birthday.” he said, clenching his small fists.
you only stared down at him and sighed, moving over to sit on top of his bed. “come here, i'm gonna show you something cool.” you said, patting the seat next to you.
kariya huffed and begrudgingly obeyed. he crossed his arms and raised his brows at you. you smiled and brought your hands together in front of him. suddenly, a shimmering blue light emerged from your hands and revealed a shining necklace with a mini soccer ball.
kariya gasped and looked up at you, “how'd you do that?” you only winked and gave the necklace to him, “that's a secret.” you said and stood, walking towards the door. “now, let's go join them and eat.”
kariya frowned and gritted his teeth, “no, i don't want to! it's the day i was left in here, that's not something worth celebrating!” he yelled as you turned and kneeled in front of him, patting his head. “you may think that way but those guys downstairs are celebrating this day as your day of birth and as the day you came here and became a part of their family.” you said as kariya pursed his lips, “family..?”
you nodded with a gentle smile, “yes, family. they wish to replace the bad memories with good ones, and to complete that, they need you downstairs. won't you help them out?” you asked as kariya sniffled and nodded.
you only smiled and picked him up, leaving his room and descending the stairs.
“why is it dark..?” kariya asked as you smiled.
the lights suddenly turned on and a loud boom reached your ears. confetti started to fall upon the two of you.
kariya opened his eyes to see the rest of his family, grinning:
“happy birthday, masaki!”

I'm an Alley Cat with a Status Screen
I'm a (not so) humble alley cat that found a portal to a fantasy world. The system immediately gave me self-awareness and taught me the meaning of words. Now I can't seem to find my way back to my old world, but that's ok, because this world allows me to become a fearsome predator by earning levels and skills. Follow my journey as I wage a bloody vendetta against the dog headed kobolds and any other dog-like creature I happen to enounter. Also, treats and chin scratches are used to bribe me into helping hapless cat eared people. Other adventures await! Warning: Gore tag is serious. People get eaten by monsters. Monsters get eaten too. Lots of blood. Not for the faint of heart. Cover Art by kgy121 of Experimental Wuxia Novel Disclaimer: The views portrayed by characters in this novel are not the author's own. I don't actually hate dogs.

One Piece No Go No Ken
Work discontinued and ending. Other authors are free to message me if they want to take it A synopsis serves to attract attention without lying. This is useful because it gives a first impression of the novel, and immerse even before plunging into the story. Unfortunately, it does not count as one of my specialties. This fanfic is really peculiar and I think that few people will be able to appreciate it. So instead of trying to make you salivate, then have you disappointed, it would be better for you to make your own opinion, that is if you have time on your hands. If you do not like one piece or shounen animes, then you'd better turn back, as it would be a worthless read for you. If you've made it this far and have time to spare for yet one worthless attempt at making an original one-piece fanfic, then have a good read. N.B: I do not own one Piece or Fist of the north star, the image above, or any other anime/fictional character referenced in this fiction Please do not donate on this particular fanfic!
