he stayed silent, relishing the warm feeling of your hand in his as you dragged him into your “secret place”. the cold winter air bit at his nape as he shivered, squeezing your hand as if seeking more warmth.
he listened to the crunch of the snow on the ground as the two of you walked in fur winter boots, leaving trails of footsteps behind.
“are you cold?” your bewitching voice was music to his ears, making him want to hear it more and more and more.
he shook his head, as you pursed your lips and smile at him, “don't worry, we're almost there.”
the two of you stopped in front of a snow covered glade filled with lights hung around the place. a lit bonfire was in the middle and a log was settled in front; on top of the log was a folded blanket.
aah, he remembered he told you he wanted to do this sometime. but he never had the chance to.
he turned to you, a bit speechless.
you only grinned, holding both of his hands and intertwining your fingers before looking up at him with your bright orbs:
“happy birthday, terumi.”
