《Jensens Daughter (Jensen Ackles FF)》"Growing Up Too Fast"

A while flew by (months actually) and I didn't have much breaks. Weekdays was filming for Supernatural and on weekends, we did things for Blackwater Cave. When I did get a break, it was spent sleeping. Dad noticed how tired I was and came over to me one day while I was laying in his trailer. He sat by me and wrapped his arms around my shoulder. "Hey, sweet heart." He said.
"Hey, dad." I smiled.
"You okay?"
"Of course. Why?" I asked.
"You just seem more tired and I don't want you to be so exhausted, you don't find it fun." He said. I chuckled and nodded.
"It's okay, dad. I am having fun!" I told him.
"Okay. Well, come on, we're doing a scene now." I followed him to the set and we did our scene. Afterwards, I had a sudden burst of energy.
"Mel! Mel! Mel! Mel!" I repeated, bouncing up and down.
"What?" She laughed.
"We got the script!" I said.
"Yeah?"
"Yeah!" I looked around for a private area and when I didn't see one, sighed. "I have to tell you! Come here!" She followed me outside and we sat on the steps of Misha's trailer. I had a picture of what I wanted to show her so I took out my phone. "I just remembered." I said, handing her the phone to show her the picture. As she read, her face got more and more shocked.
"No way!" She gasped, looking up after reading it.
"Way!" I nodded.
"Are you going to do it?" She asked.
"I don't know. I'll be fourteen when it happens but....I don't know." I sighed. Then she began reading it aloud.
"'Izzy; Will, I'm scared. Everyone is lost or even worse, dead, and considering horror movies, only one of us will make it out alive, if any.'" She acted out the part rather badly. "'William; Don't worry. We'll get out of here together. Okay, Izzy? Izzy; I don't believe you. Those monster things are going to kill us. Look at me. I'm already a mess. I'm just going to slow you down. And I can't climb. Theres no point! William; Don't talk that way! I'm not leaving you! You will make it out of here and we'll be okay. We're going to be okay, Izzy. I'm never letting you out of my sight. Izzy and William get closer'. Nice stage directions." Mel laughed.
"Yeah. I know." I giggled. Then she continued.
"'Izzy; You realize how stupid that sounds right? Right out of some stupid cliché horror movie. William; Yeah, well. I'm serious. I won't let anything happen to you. I love you, Isabel Marshal. I know I say this a lot but I don't think you realize how much I actually love you.' Then he kisses you! I can't even right now!" She said, kicking her feet happily.
"I don't know how I can let it happen though. He just kinda does it without my knowledge apparently and.... I don't know. I have knowledge. Plus my first kiss would be for that." I sighed.
"I think you can do it. Besides, at least it's your actual boyfriend." She said. I smiled and nodded.
"Yeah. I guess." I said.
"Is everyone else dead by this point? Why aren't you more scared?" Mel asked.
"Well, what happens is we get in the cave but then Jennings breaks the equipment to get out. We walk a while and then monsters come and separate us. Then this happens and I am scared but this is after another scene of me crying really terrified. And I can honestly still be crying here. It just depends on how I interpret the script. I think I honestly will cry during this. We'll see."

"Now...According to this, you kiss back....'passionately'." She giggled. I shrugged and sighed.
"I'm more worried about my dad." I said.
"Oh dang. I didn't think about him. What are you going to do about that?"
"Talk to him. He'll understand." I said.
"Seriously?" She questioned.
"Y....yeah? Why wouldn't I? I tell my dad everything." I told her.
"I don't know. Teenage girls keep secrets." She said.
"He would find out eventually. Besides, it's in the script." I said. "Are you okay? Youve never told me to lie before."
"I didn't tell you to lie." She said.
"But you told me not to tell." I stated. She shrugged and I sighed. "Well, I got to go back now. I have a scene with Misha." I walked away without saying anything else. After the day, dad, Mel and I am went back to our place. I sat in the room for a while before deciding I was going to tell Dad about the kiss. I walked out the room and knocked on his bedroom door. He opened the door and smiled. "Can I come in, daddy?" I asked, using my innocent child voice. He chuckled but looked at me curiously. I walked in and day on his bed. He shut the door and stood against the wall facing me with a smile on his face.
"What is it?" He asked.
"Well, you know how you don't want James and I too close?" I said, starting it off.
"Yeah?"
"Well, you see, I got the script and there's this part well....we kinda have to get close. And....well....see?" I handed him the script already turned to that page. He read it quickly then looked up at me.
"You have to kiss?" He asked. I nodded and looked down.
"And two more times after that." I added. He looked back down at the script and read through it. As he read, I sat quietly. Finally, he looked back up at me. He sighed and came to sit by me. I looked up and he wrapped his arm around me.
"It's with James?" He asked. I nodded and he sighed. "You really like him?" I nodded again and he looked back down at the script. "How old are you again?"
"Thirteen, dad." I laughed. He smiled and nodded.
"I know. You're growing up too fast for me." He said.
"Thirteen years feels like forever to me." I giggled. He nodded and I snuggled closer to him.
"Soon you're going to be old enough to leave me all alone." He pouted.
"You have mom and J.J." I grinned.
"But I won't have you." He said.
"Awe, dad." I said, hugging him. "I'll always be here for you."
"I know." He said. "You're not going to take this kissing thing any farther than kissing....right?"
"You mean......ew." I said, disgusted. "Of course not. I have self respect." He smiled and nodded.
"That's my girl."
"You're letting me kiss him?" I asked, surprised. He sighed and nodded.
"You were probably going to do it sooner or later anyway." He said. I smiled and shook my head.
"I don't know about that. And I was asking about kissing for the scenes. You're talking about kissing since we're boyfriend and girlfriend." I told him. He nodded and I smiled.
"You're the coolest dad. But I don't know if I'll kiss James just because I can." I giggled.

"How long have you been dating?" He asked.
"A little over a year." I told him.
"Well, either way, I guess it's okay." He said. I smiled and nodded.
"Wow. Okay. Thanks." I said. He nodded and I yawned. I laid on his shoulder for so long, I fell asleep.
The week went by and when we got back to LA, I met James at the park. "Your dad said it was okay?" He asked, surprised.
"I know right? I was just as surprised. I still am kinda." I told him as we sat on the bench. He nodded then scratched the back of his neck awkwardly.
"Do you want to kiss me?" He asked. I shrugged and looked down, blushing.
"I don't know. It's in the script and all." I mumbled. He nodded and sighed. "Do....do you want to kiss me?" He smiled and also looked down.
"I wouldn't mind." He whispered. I smiled and shook my head.
"I'm glad you're my boyfriend and not someone who would force me...you know? You're nice, caring and understanding."
"Yeah. And I'm glad you're my girlfriend. You're down to Earth and so sweet. More beautiful than any other girl ever." He said. I smiled and shrugged.
"I'm average looking." I said. He shook his head and smiled.
"I promise you're not." I blushed and looked down.
"You know, I ship us more than I ship Sabriel." I smiled.
"What about Destiel?" James asked, smiling.
"No one can ship anyone more than I ship Destiel." I giggled. James laughed with me and I sighed. "I like hanging out without working."
"Me too." He nodded. I smiled widely at a sudden thought.
"Winter break is soon. And my fourteenth birthday!" I grinned.
"Yeah. What are you doing for your birthday?" He asked.
"I don't know. I still have about a month to figure it out." I shrugged.
"Three weeks and two days to be precise." James smiled.
"Keeping track I see." I giggled. He blushed and nodded.
"Yeah." He whispered.
"You're so cute." I blushed upon saying it but James just looked at me and shrugged.
"Not as cute as you." He said. I smiled and shrugged.
"I suppose." I laughed.
"Want to go see a movie?" I nodded and he smiled. "Which movie?"
"Mockingjay part 2 came out the other day. How about that?" I asked. He smiled and nodded.
"Ive wanted to see that too." He smiled.
"Okay. Let's go then." I said. We watched the movie and when we came out, I wiped my eyes. "I cried too much at that." I said. James laughed and held me closer to him. "I mean, Finnick died, Prim died, Gale probably designed the bomb that did it! Then she chose Peeta and had children! All that and ugh!" I groaned. James chuckled and shook his head.
"I know. Just terrible." He said.
"Oh shut up." I laughed. He chuckled and walked me home. We talked and laughed and when I got to the door, dad invited James in for dinner. We were all sitting there talking and James was playing with J.J. when dad brought up the kiss that we hadn't even had yet.
"So, are two gonna wait until the date of to kiss to make the first kiss thing authentic or kiss before and act?" He asked. Everyone got quiet and stared at him.
"Jensen!" Mom scolded. I just sat there awkwardly and looked at my hands. Noticing everyone looked at me, I shrugged.
"I don't know." I shrugged.
"You don't know?" Dad asked.
"No. Did you plan your first kiss?" I questioned, placing my hands on my hips. He chuckled and shrugged.
"I don't know. That was a long time ago." He said.
"Did you plan your first kiss with mom?" I giggled. Then they looked down awkwardly. I smiled and shook my head. "See. Exactly. We'll see when the time comes." Dad nodded and sighed.
"You're growing up too fast." He said.
"Yeah. You told me already." I giggled. I looked at mom who shrugged.
"It's true. I remember first meeting you. You were so small and cutesy." She said.
"Yeah." I nodded awkwardly, noticing James smiling.
"You were two when we met for the first time. You had this thing for princesses and had a Cinderella costume and wouldn't change out of it even to get washed. And you'd wear it with your cowgirl boots." Mom giggled.
"Haha. Funny." I said, blushing.
"Remember when she had those imaginary friends?" Dad laughed.
"Stop." I muttered, glaring at my parents.
"Yes. I remember when you shut them in the fridge and had to open the fridge to get them out." Mom said.
"And when they fell off the porch on a rainy day and you had to get them so she didn't get all muddy." Dad laughed.
"Oh, what were their names?" Mom asked.
"Keekee and Jen!" Dad laughed. I felt my face getting hotter by the second. "Do you remember that, Sara?" I sighed and shrugged.
"A little I guess. I forgot about it before you brought it up just now." I sighed. "I remember they were both small enough to fit in the palm of my hands." I decided since mom and dad were already embarrassing me, I had nothing else to do to hide it. James knew now about my imaginary friends and Cinderella obsession.
"That's cute." James said. "I don't know if I had an imaginary friend." This made me turn even more red. Then mom and dad got out the pictures. That's even worse. After dinner and after James said goodbye to everyone, I walked him to the door.
"Well, you learned more about my childhood." I said. James smiled and nodded.
"And just as I expected, you were super adorable back then too." He winked. I blushed for the millionth time today and smiled.
"Yeah. I guess next is me learning more about your childhood." I giggled. He nodded and smiled.
"We'll see when that'll happen." He grinned. I nodded and looked down.
"Well, I'll talk to you tomorrow then. Or text me when you get home." I told him. He nodded and smiled.
"Of course. Bye." With that, he kissed my cheek, causing me to blush even more.
"Bye." I said softly through a huge smile. He was also blushing as he turned to walk away. I slowly shut the door and grinned. That was great.

The Adventures of Rat Damon
12/20/2021: we're back to work! Rat Damon reflects on his life of adventuring, both before and after meeting Jack Jensen of earth. He recounts many of his experiences, both happy and sad. He regales you with the tales of power found and love lost. This is a side-adventure based on our The Other Guys series. Rat Damon makes an appearance in Heroes of Last Resort but is much more than a simple rat. What I will post here is going to be a lot rougher than Heroes as I am writing and posting as I go along, so my apologies go out to you in advance! However, I will revise as needed as we go along. As writing isn't my full-time gig, the posting of new material here will likely be a bit irregular and as far as what length this book will be, it remains to be seen. This was originally envisioned to be a 30-40k word novella but one never knows where the story will take me. Do not fret, book 2 in the series is well on its way, in fact much farther along than this novel(la?). We will see where Rat Damon takes, I guess! Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoy this as much as I had writing it.
