《My safe place (Jensen X Reader)》Chapter 10

Saturday came really fast and I couldn't wait to see Jensen again. Gosh... I've been dreaming of this man since the 'Hey, easy tiger' even if I was hiding it from everyone because I was afraid of Matt. But now this is real and I can't wrap my mind around it. Every detail is important for today.
First, I take a shower and then I dry my hair. I get some make up on carefully because the cut on my cheek hasn't completely healed yet. The stitches were off so I just cover it with a thin and small beige coloured bandage that covered it perfectly without sticking out much. I went for a simple natural make up look and then I straightened my hair.
Then I moved to my closet. We are going out in the afternoon so I decided to wear a black floral summer dress pairing it with black bag and some light nude ankleboots. But because it's a bit cold outside today, I will put a light nude cardigan that is in the exact same shade as my shoes.
My phone rings and I run to the living room to get it. It's Jensen. Does he want to cancel? was my first thought. Then I look at the clock. 6:13. Crap. "I know I'm late. I'm sorry" I say as I answer
"It's ok, I was a bit late too. But I'm waiting for you right outside of your building. Come when you're ready" he says
"I'll be there in a minute" I say and I hung up. I put my cardigan on, I grab my bag and I leave.
I open the main door and immediately I see Jensen laying against the wall right next to the door. "Hi" I say. He turns his head and smiles the moment he sees me.

"Hi. You look really beautiful. Not that you weren't looking beautiful the other day" he says and I blush again.
"Thank you" I say trying to hide my huge excitement that made me want to start jumping around. "You look great too, as always" I say and he smiles even more. He was wearing a pair of dark grey jeans, a black t-shirt and a leather jacket on top.
"Thank you" he says with a chuckle. "Should we..?" he asks stepping out of the way for me
"Yes" I say and we start walking. "Where are we going?" I ask
"I was thinking about starting with a coffee and then we'll see" he says
"Great".
"So how are you?" he asks as we walk
"I'm good. I'm really good actually" I say
"I'm glad. I see that your injuries are better" he says
"Yeah, yeah. The stitches are out but it still needs healing" I say and he nods
"Did you take them out yourself?" he asks jokingly
"No" I say and I chuckle "A friend of mine did" I say and he chuckles. "How are you? How is work going?" I ask
"As usual, filming, memorising lines... Making Misha's life hell" he says and I chuckle
"Of course" I say.
"Are you staying here in Austin?" I ask
"No. When I'm not filming, I mostly stay in Vancouver. And when I'm in Texas, I stay at my parent's in Dallas. I drove here straight from the airport and I left my car next to yours blocking you a bit" he says with a total guilty look
"It's ok. I don't need it now" I say and he nods.
"So what made you turn down plastic surgery and go to trauma?" he asks "I did a little research before coming" he says and I chuckle

"Well, plastic was great. Making people happy, fixing their insecurities and more but trauma has this rush that I love. There is much blood and you don't know what will come in the emergency everyday but that's the magic of it. You have to be fast, bossy and smart and that rush is like a drug" I say all excited
"Ok, ok, got it. But does this mean you're fast, bossy and smart?" he asks and I chuckle.
_______________
Again we talked and talked and it was amazing. Walking back to my place Jensen had his arm wrapped around my back, high enough so he wouldn't make me feel uncomfortable. He is such a gentleman. "I guess we stop here" I say as we stop in front of my building
"You know what? How about you go up, change and I drive you to work?" he suggests
"Why not? I'll be fast" I say and I go inside.
I change into my scrubs, I put some things from the bag I was holding and snacks in my bag that I had for work and I leave again. "Let's go" I say and he leads me to his car. He opens the door for me and I sit on the passenger's seat. He walks to the other side and gets in the drivers seat. On our way, we continued our talk about our crazy work schedules. My nightshifts are like his night shooting, both really exhausting.
Jensen parks on the hospital's parking lot and we get out. "You don't have to walk me--" I say but he interrupts me
"I want to" he says and I smile. He smiles too and we keep walking to the entrance. We stop right in the entrance and we look at eachother.
"I had a really good time today" I say
"Me too" he says. He looks me in the eyes and smiles. I smile and I bit my lip. He leans closer to me and pecks my lips softly. His lips were better than anything I've ever imagined. Even smoother than they look. Even softer than I thought. He places his hand on my cheek and rubs it really softly.
He pulls away and we open our eyes. "The scrubs look really good on you" he says still rubbing my cheek. "And you're so cute when you blush" he says and I'm sure that I'm blushing even more now. He takes his hand away from my cheek "Have a nice shift doctor" he says
"Thank you" I say.
"See you soon?" he asks
"See you soon" I say and with that we both walk away.
In the lounge, it was only Kelly. "You got yourself a nice piece" she says and I chuckle
"Sorry about that. But it was just our first date" I say
"Well, I see why you call him McDreamy now" she says and I chuckle. "Good luck" she says and leaves.
Jensen's POV
I sit in my car and I call Jared immediately.
"Hey Jay, how did it go?" is the first thing he says
"Jared... I'm gonna marry this girl".

Fallen
Hundreds of years ago, the servant god Elsyn declared that they would destroy humanity entirely, explaining it as their duty as humanity’s peacekeeper. When the gods saw it fit to send someone to oppose the fallen servant, Iztris—the gods’ own servant and follower—visits Cheryn. Iztris requests the aid of Alyson and Jacob, the oldest two heirs of Cheryn and the only ones given the gods’ offer of the ‘assurance of victory,’ and the heirs agree. There will come a time when humanity does fall—but none of them would allow that to happen by the hands of a being just as flawed as mortals. I recommend reading the story by volume, instead of by the order the chapters were posted. This story was beta read by Mad Sadie. Many thanks! Please note that some characters use different pronouns depending on the chapter’s view and the speaker. Iztris, for example, is referred to with neutral pronouns by Elsyn (in most cases) and themself, and after being introduced as such they are referred to with male pronouns by Alyson and Jacob.

2nd Chance
It's my first time writing a story so you might spot a lot of amateur mistakes but feel free to criticize my writing as much as you like. Anyways, to give you a quick idea of what the story is all about, the original title of this novel was supposed to be "The Yankee in Another World" but when I thought about writing that in the cover I immediately thought 'HELL NAW' and went with a different one and I feel like the new title captures the essence of this story more. because although it's categorized as an Isekai, the story is more focused on redemption rather than the Isekai fantasy. Hopefully, I'll be able to update this synopsis once I thought of one.
