"Hello?" I said into my phone as I pull Angel off my hair.
"I'm at the bayou at some clinic. These men are chasing after me! I need your help!" Hayley said urgently as I hear her panting and running through who no where.
"I'm on my way." I told her. I looked down at Angel and put my hand on top of her face then dragged it down. I do this a couple of this before I hear her steady heartbeat, telling me she is now sleeping. I gently but quickly put her in a bassinet and vamp speed out the house and into the bayou. Once I get here I here grunting and sped towards the sound. I came across this man with a crossbow who was getting up from the ground. I sped behind him and bite into his neck drinking his blood before I snapped his neck and dropped him on the ground. I turn around after hearing a twig snap behind me and see one more man coming towards me and Hayley but he soon fell to the ground with Rebekah standing behind him with his heart in her hands.
"I have to say I'm impressed." Rebekah said seeing as Hayley took down majority of the men. Hayley pants as she stands beside me. "How did you find me?" She asked us.
"Your text got me halfway," Rebekah said before I cut her off, "vamp hearing did the rest." I finished her sentence before looking around us. "Who are they?" I asked.
"Witches, Warlocks, whatever." Hayley answered. Rebekah turns around to see flashlights moving around the bayou. "There are more of them." She turns back to me and Hayley. "Run! Phoenix stay with her!" She commands us and we immediately ran away from her.

We didn't make it very far as we hear Rebekah gasp in pain. We turn around to see a arrow shot in her heart and she is hunched over. "Rebekah!" Hayley yelled out.
"You need to keep going. Now! Run!" I yelled at her and she hesitated but did as told. Not long as I turn back around an arrow was shot threw my head and then another one went through my heart. The last thing I heard was my name being yelled out before I fell face first into the ground.

"What do you mean, they're missing?" Klaus said into his phone as he stands in the balcony of st. Anne's church. "What do you think I mean? There's blood and bodies everywhere, someone's ripped this lot to shreds and there's no smart-aleck pregnant girl or blonde mother anywhere." Rebekah said. "Keep looking. I'm on my way." Klaus said then he hanged up his phone. He grabs Tim before tossing him over the balcony along with his violin.
~~~
"Well, you abandoned your quest for power to help out your family. Having an off day?" Rebekah mocked as Klaus sped into the clinic.
"Who took them, Rebekah?" Klaus asked ignoring her taunts at him.
"I don't know." She answered. "What do you mean you don't know?" Klaus repeated into a question as he got closer to his sister with his hands behind his back. "Then who killed Hayley's attackers?"
"I don't know. I had and arrow in my heart. If it wasn't Hayley or Phoenix, who killed them, then—" Rebekah was cut off by wolves howling. "Lovely. Perhaps her cousins will know where they are." Rebekah said as her and Klaus walk outside the clinic to find Hayley covered in dirt and slowly walking towards them, but no Phoenix anywhere.
I woke feeling pain all over. It was still dark outside so I know I wasn't out for long. I looked down and yank the arrow out of my heart then yelled out in pain as I pull out the one in my head. "What the bloody hell happened?" I said to myself as I stare at dead bodies all torn up around me. "Angel" I quickly get up and speed out of the area I'm in. I'm speeding past the clinic when something hard grabs onto me, completely stopping me. "Let me go!" I yelled as I struggle to get out of his arms. I was fighting him off but he kept dodging and holding onto me.
I almost freed myself but the man wrap his arms around mine caging me in. "I got you, luv. I got you. You're going to be fine." I hear Klaus say into my ear very calmly trying to calm me down and it was working. He holds me against his chest very tightly to keep me from running away and his cheek against mine so only I could hear his voice.
"But my daughter." I said my voice almost cracking. He rubs my hair down almost like he is petting me. "She's safe. I checked on her before I came here." He told me and I let a deep sigh escape my lips.
"Who did this?" I said but it was barely a whisper but Klaus must have heard me. "Agnes." Hayley said from the car. She was laying her head against her seat.
"I want her dead."
Ursus Ex Machina
Ozzy was a man of the wild. Raised in a remote village atop the world's mightiest mountain, he'd been taught to respect and revere the natural world. The realm he was born into had been there long before him, and it would remain there long after him. Sure, there was the occasional madman who threatened to destroy it, but such boasts were always empty. No one individual was actually capable of demolishing this beautiful blue-and-green ball Ozzy called home. No matter what terrible magics these villains wielded, they were incapable of causing permanent harm to the environment. Even if the planet was completely devastated, it would recover. Life would find a way to flourish, same as it always had. That was what Ozzy believed from the bottom of his heart, so he never once felt the need to save the world he loved. After all, it was never truly in danger. The world would be fine no matter what. The people were a wee bit endangered, but that was another story altogether. However, what would happen if Ozzy suddenly found himself devoid of his beloved wilds? What would the man do if the realm he knew - one of wonder, magic, and chaos - was replaced with a man-made environment of concrete, industry, and steam? Ozzy could never imagine such a thing happening, and yet that was his new reality. After losing a fateful confrontation with a mad wizard, he and his friends found themselves transported to a strange world so thoroughly alien that every waking moment feels like a fever dream. Separated and scattered to the four corners of this land, each of these adventurers will need to adapt, survive, and overcome if they hope to reunite. They would also need to do so quickly. The sooner they are able to find one another, the sooner they can figure out a way back home and have another crack at putting an end to the villain's plans. Whether such a thing was actually possible in a world with barely any magic in it was a valid concern, but Ozzy had more immediate things to worry about. For instance, why did the air smell like a perpetual forest fire? How did ships sail through the sky as if it were water? And most importantly, was the pavement he was hurtling towards at high speed much softer than it looked? Probably not, but a man could hope.
System Supervillain
I was there when it happened. When the walls of reality came crashing down upon us. When everything changed. I was there. I watched it happen. There wasn’t anything I could do, of course. When two veritable demigods are fighting to the death, getting caught in between is a great way to end up very dead. Or worse. That’s when it happened. Raw time crashed with pure paradox, and the universe itself screamed in torment. Night turned to day turned to yesterday and tomorrow and blue and yellow and whale and petunia, and then it snapped back, all at once, with a thunderous roar that was not heard but felt. And then I saw the blue box for the first time. ------------ A System Apocalypse event happens in a world of superheroes, like you would see in the comic books. What happens when the world changes, and heroes and villains are now bound by a System that limits their powers? What will change, and what will remain the same? This story will incorporate Champions/HERO System 5th Edition rules. There will be dice rolls determining the action, and blue boxes with lots of crunchy numbers. If you're not down for that, there are plenty of other stories on this site that you'll like. But if that sounds fun to you, then welcome aboard, and I invite you to see what happens when someone becomes a System Supervillain.
