《Home | The Originals》Chapter 77: Death

(😅😅😅Gonna pretend that I didn't hear that Tristan needed a Regent to activate the medallion. Cut that part out😂😂)
I walked down the stairs on my way get some more toys for the kids when I see this human just walk in. He didn't care that I was here or that I was watching him as he walk inside my home. He placed the box he was carrying on the table and just walked away. He is for sure been compelled.
"Freya!" I yelled out for her and not long she is walking out the dining room.
"What is it?" She asked me then she sees the gift box on the table with a note on top.
I pick the note up and read it.
"Dearest friends,
Please find enclosed the heart of Jackson.
Hayley's will follow unless you meet me at Coltranels Adderly in the ninth.
Kind regards,
-Tristan
They killed Jackson. I look over to Freya and she had a few tears falling down her face after I had read the note out loud. I may not have liked Jackson all to much, but I had respect for him because he fought for the greater good of his family. Even though he pretty much cocked block Elijah.
I hear two sets of footsteps walk inside the Compound and stop right next to us. "Freya? Phoenix?" Elijah asked us when he saw Freya sad face and my distraught expression. "What's happening?" He asked us as Vincent looked over with concern.
"Some compelled human. He left this on our table and just walked away." I said as Elijah stand by us.
Elijah looked down at the box and lifted the lid open. I finally saw his heart laying inside the box and it forced me to look away. Hayley must be so heartbroken.
Elijah dropped the lid. "Who?" He asked us.
"Jackson." Freya answered.
"Courtesy of the Strix." I added then I hand Elijah the note so he can read it.
I love Elijah but I'm gonna kill off every member of his sire line. The de Martels have went to far today. First Aurora turned Cami into a vampire making Klaus go out and be there for his friend and now this.
"So, unless we meet their demands, Hayley's will be next."
~~~
"Three Original vampires and three powerful witches against an army of miscreants. I'm rather looking forward to it." Nik said as he walks into the room we were all in after trapping Cami into a room so she won't die.
"Keep in mind that I'm a mortal. As much as I want these guys out of my city, I like breathing. So, let me go to the covens. I can propose an alliance. They hate you guys, but since Phoenix is their new Regent they will tolerate you." Vincent suggests.
"There's no time." Elijah said shutting that down.
"There never is. But before we rush into battle, let's keep in mind that Tristan may be the very for that leads you to your doom. Isn't this exactly what the prophecy foretold? Rebekah's on the run. I will not lose the two of you as well." Freya said making me nod my head.
"Brother, perhaps you should stay." Elijah suggests as he sits in a chair.
"And what kind of father would I be if I didn't fight for the mother of my child? No, I have no intention of being outmaneuvered by Tristan de Martel, of all people." Klaus said.
"Intention's got nothing to do with it. As long as Tristan de Martel has the Serratura, and your baby's mama, the advantage is all his." Vincent ranted.
He is not wrong. But I'm pretty sure he doesn't have full control over a special someone. "The strong take from the weak." I said making Vincent and Klaus look at me. "Can you find me something that belongs to his darling of a sister?"
~~~
I stood in front of the middle of the road waiting for this SUV to drive to me and it finally did. Tristan was planning on getting his sister out of town and I'm here to make sure that his plan fails. Not because Tristan is becoming a problem, but also because I like to settle a score with the sister.
I see the car in the distance as it speeds up to run me down. I lift my hands up and start to chant. Once it was close enough I turned my hands facing down and the car flipped over and is rolling my way before it stops 2 feet in front of me.
The doors open and two vampires came up with a few scratches on their face that had already healed up. Once they recuperate themselves they stare at me and I just smile in return. This is going to be fun.
Elijah speeds behind them and staked them both in their heart letting them drop to ground dead.
"Those were my kills." I complained and he just pats me on the head.
Nik came back to us carrying a weak Aurora in his hands as he tries to keep her in her feet. "Ah, my love. I knew you'd find me." She said but Klaus ignored it as we move to our next part of our plan.
~~~
Me, Klaus, and Elijah had walked back to the warehouse at the docks when a dozen of Strix memebers whooshed in followed by a dozen more and then finally Tristan and his pet Aya. "Gentlemen, Lady. I wish I could say it was a pleasure." Tristan said.
"Marcellus. Made your bed with the enemy, I see." Klaus said once he saw his adopted son take the side of his enemy.
"Membership has its privileges." Marcel said.
"Or you could, I don't know, not join at all. What privilege could you have by possibly dying for being on the wrong side? It's not like your life has really changed when you joined so I'm curious in your desicion in joining them anyway." I said.
"Let's get in with this, shall we?" Klaus said.
Tristan looked over his shoulder and nodded his head at someone in the back. Two vampires came to the front dragging a extremely weak Hayley up to us. She had dirt all over her skin and her hair was all over the place.
"Hayley Marshall Kenner, only slightly worse for wear. You'll have to forgive her if she seems a bit off. There's enough wolfsbane in her system to kill an entire pack. However, here she is as requested." Tristan said. I really wish I can go all witch mode and just kill him and his stupid ass of a cult, but I got to stick to the plan. "Now, where's my sister?"
"She is perfectly alive. You can thank Elijah for keeping me away from her." I said with fake annoyance in my voice at the end. "I wanted to bash her head into the ground with a metal bat, heal her, then make her body boil as if she was living on the bloody sun. And if she surprisingly lived through that then I would have a nice game of soccer with her head as the ball and use her skin as our flag." I said and I smiled at imagine in my head brutally killing that little red headed bitch.
"Calm down, love. Your scaring them." Nik said into my ear and then I noticed the eyes of all the vampires and only saw fear in them. Too far. "Anyway, enough chit chat. Let's conclude this tedious business, shall we?" Nik said getting things back on track.
"My sister first. And if your tempted to argue, consider the numbers." Tristan threatens.
Klaus smiles at him before walking over the the crate and opening the door revealing a tied up Aurora.
Tristan looks back at Aya. "If they try anything, attack." He ordered then he vamp speeds inside the crate and takes the bag off of Aurora. Aya nodded her head at the two vampires and they pushed Hayley over to us but Elijah caught her and brought her into a hug.
"Oh, brother. You came for me." Aurora said.
"Always." Tristan untied the ropes holding Aurora down. "Come on." He said and the two siblings hugged each other. Aurora goes inside Tristan's pants pocket and took the Serratura from him and then backed away.
Tristan looked at his sister cautiously. "Rory. What are you doing?" He asked her.
Aurora places the Serratura on the crate walls and the whole crate shakes as if it was a gong. Tristan tries to leave the crate but is stopped by the barrier that was keeping him locked inside.
"No." He said once he processed what just happened. "Aurora, what have you done to us?" He asked her.
"Not us. To you." Aurora said and she walks past the barrier without a touch on her body. Then Aurora is magically transformed into Cami.
"What is this?" Tristan asked us.
"You know what they say. Payback's a bitch." Cami said.
"How is this possible?"
"The Serratura creates an impenetrable boundary. Nothing living or dead can pass through." Klaus explained.
"And thanks to your lunatic sister, I'm neither." Cami added.
"No. No. No!" Tristan repeated in disbelief then he lands his eyes on his Strix members. "What are you waiting for? Take them. Now!" He yells.
The vampires start to creep forward and my hybrid face came out as I was about to get in a big and very interesting fight. Interesting because I been practicing this little spell ever since Klaus and the family came to New Orleans.
"Before you rush headlong toward almost certain death, as your sire, I would like to invite you all to employ just a little bit of common sense." Elijah said as he walks around in front of his sire line.
"We are ancient vampires, Elijah. Each of us almost as strong as you." Aya said.
"And you might almost be successful in subduing us. But at what price? If you attack now their is a hybrid standing in this room with us right now that will guarantee you will not get an inch closer to us. And she will make your death as painful as she can imagine. You will die to avenge a fool, marching you headlong toward your very extinction in the name of a witch's prophecy? You do realize, he engineered absolutely all of this purely to satisfy some petty grievance against my family." Elijah stated as he now stands in front of the doorway of the open crate. He turns around to look at Tristan. "Tristan doesn't care for any of you."
"Stop listening to him." Tristan commanded raising his voice.
"The only danger here, is the choice that you must make. You see, I'm not your enemy. It's true. I delivered you into this existence. I can just as easily pluck you out of it. The choice is yours to make." Elijah finishes his speech.
"It's done. The moment's passed. Be smart, Aya. Smarter than Tristan. Don't waste any more of our guys." Marcel whispered to her.
Aya turned around to look at all the vampires that was here with us. "Stand down."
"You will not abandon me." Tristan said to Aya.
Aya went up to Elijah and they had some type of weird eye contact before she walks past him and up to Tristan. "It's a shame it has to end like this." She said to him.
"Aya, this isn't over." Tristan promised.
Aya puts her left hand over her heart. "May the ghosts of our fallen keep you company." She said then she walked away leaving the warehouse.
"Aya." Tristan said lowly. "Aya!" He repeated louder this time making his voice echo. "Aya!"
~~~
All the vampires disappeared along with Cami who was still upset that she is in transition and still doesn't want to be a vampire. If she didn't want to be a vampire why doesn't she just off herself. No need to wait out for the transition to kill you because that only gives you more time for you to actually drink human blood when you said you don't want to live.
Elijah opened the doors to the crate again revealing Tristan who hasn't moved from his spot since cult turned their backs on him. "So, this is to be my end?" He said glumly.
"No, no. This is the very beginning. You are going to the bottom of the ocean where you will drown, in darkness, again and again, and again over the course of centuries. This will be your splendidly horrific and perpetual end." Elijah said. No need to kill with your big words.
"What have you done with my sister?" Tristan asked us lowly.
"Nothing." Nik answered.
"Yet." I added with a smile on both of our faces. "But I assure you, she had met her maker when she kidnapped me. Her death will be up in flames." I said and Nik started to close the crate.
"Wait." Hayley said stopping the door from being closed. She walks closer to Tristan. "You took a very good man from this world. He will be with me forever. But you? You will be forgotten. And as you rot in the ocean, remember my face." Hayley grabs the door and closes it halfway. "'Cause it's gonna be the last one that you ever see." And she closes the door completely.
(Question for the people who didn't answer on my board. From what you have read so far in this story, and not the actual tv show, do anyone like the female casts? I got ideas but I would like to know if anyone likes/dislike Cami and Hayley)

Rise of the First Necromancer
Asrael Nessarat awakes on a sandy dune with a mouthful of sand and nothing but tattered rags in his posession. As the High Magus of the school of Necromancy, he once aspired to prove to the Emperor that magic still held a place in their society. But that day came, passed and inevitably accelerated his kind's downfall. Now; they are hunted, strung up and burned on pyres throughout the Empire by the Emperor's holy Inquisition- an efficient and ruthless army hell-bent on bleeding every last droplet of magic from the lands. With nothing but a mouthful of sand and tattered rags; Asrael is determined to seek the one thing his cold, still heart desires. Vengeance. This story can, at times, get very dark. It is not recommended for the faint of heart. This is not a story of an overtly powerful wizard who can pulverize his enemies from across the world, nor is it in any way, shape or form a joyous tale. We follow Asrael as he and his companions explore and seek to change an unjust world, where kindness and acceptance are exceptions, rather than the rule. If you are looking for a story to inspire hope or joy, this is not it. If you wish to read about likeable, heroic people, turn around. If you wish to see good battle evil, where the cut in between is clear, then this is not for you.

Kill the Harem
I was never a person who struggled with anything. Whatever I wanted to achieve, I achieved, except for finding a good reason for living. That was until I died. Perhaps it was karma, or perhaps it was some particularly sick god. I woke up in a world full of magic and encountered all these women who became romantically obsessed with me. It bears an uncanny resemblance to those garbage isekai series that I had the misfortune of reading in high school. The problem is, I loathe isekai. It got to the point where ever time I read about a busty elf-girl wanting to follow the protagonist, I wanted to throw something. It's illogical and it ruins the flow of the story. But now, I'm the one getting harassed by such illogical people? What complete and utter drivel. If any obsessive crazy person tries to make me theirs without even caring about my opinion, I'll f*cking kill them! I'll kill them all! I'm getting back home no matter what. My favorite manga hasn't finished yet and I want to read it to the end. Q&A Section Q: Is the protagonist mentally healthy? A: No, not even close. Q: Are all the female characters stupid? A: Barring extenuating circumstances, nobody rational would fall for a guy like the protagonist, so there's a bit of selection bias going on here. Q: Is this about a Gary Stu killing a bunch of irrational harem characters in a cliche isekai world? A: Go reread the title and the synopsis. Q: Do the women die because they won't sleep with the protagonist? A: No. I'm not sure where anyone got that from since it's entirely the opposite of what happens.
