her large Blanc canvas and multiple paints were out from their storage spaces, brushes and pencils placed within a contained cylinder bin dry paint covered the handles due to the times they were used..... others untouched.
She had given her painting to Camille who happily put it up on display along with other students works her art was pure and innocent whilst others held a dark void and emptiness within them.
The sound of the elevator beeping caught Estelle's attention quickly the brunette headed into the open living space seeing the familiar figure of the man she had met not long ago enter her dorm room.
She knew this was dangerous letting a man she had only met into her home, her safe space. Yet there was something about Marcus that just drew her towards him as if something or someone was calling out to her.
"Buona sera cara" Good evening Darling. Marcus greeted the small girl with a small smile, his dark orbs scanning her from head to toe only to darken even more noticing that she was wearing a white night gown.
"Good afternoon to you too Marcus" Estelle smiled back gesturing for him to follow. To which he did, his eyes left his mate's form now examining the room around him with a look of interest and proudness.
"Would you like some tea before we begin?" The brunette questioned now heading into the kitchen, she filled the kettle up with cold water before setting it off, pulling out two containers one filled with sugar the other tea bags.
Marcus gulped slightly knowing that if he has tea that he would be sick, he was a vampire after all and ever since he had turned foods and liquids just don't sit well with his stomach.
"No thank you Tessoro" Marcus kindly denied his eyes never leaving Estelle's form watching her move swiftly as she poured herself a cup of tea he then asked "Do you live here by yourself?"

Estelle let out a small 'mhm' "thankfully the school gave us our own dorms which I'm happy about the other girls here don't really like me much but I'm used to the negativity"
Marcus's eye twitched at that information, who would even hate this sweet innocent Angel? HIS angel to be exact who wouldn't even hurt a fly. A sudden anger bubbled within the vampire king yet he did not show it not wanting Estelle to think that he was angry at her.
Soon they found themselves within Estelle's art studio, Marcus was leaning against the wall his hand beneath his chin the other placed under his elbow his deep brown eyes bored into Estelle watching her every movement,
He watched as her hands practically danced across the large canvas, how her tongue slipped out to wet her chapped lips, how her hip, those hips would sway almost teasingly every time she moved.
'Tease' he thought his eyes locked onto her swaying hips at that moment knowing that she was oblivious to her own actions 'how could one with such innocence make me feel this way?'
"Tell me about yourself" Estelle's voice filled the room, her tone soothing, angelic a voice that Marcus would happily hear for the rest of his existing life "Since were both practically still strangers it would be nice to get to know of one another"
Marcus's gaze then left Estelle's form now finding himself staring at the castle in the distance, his home processing Estelle's question, thinking how he can answer without giving himself away.....
Not that he didn't want his mate to know but at the end of the day she is human, Humans are fragile little things and he was sure that if he told her the truth then she would most likely run away from him with fear.

"My name is Marcus Volturi, I am nineteen and I was born in Greece then moved here a couple years ago with my adopted brothers Aro and Caius" Marcus replied slowly, trying not to slip up yet hoping that his words were enough to impress Estelle
It seemed that it had worked as the brunette's eyes lit up slightly at the mention of Greece "ah! I love Greece especially the history of the gods and mythological creatures"
Marcus sent her a beaming smile "you like the history of the country then?" At his question the brunette nodded furiously "in that case I have a couple books about the myths if you want I can lend them to you"
Dropping her brush Estelle didn't care of the paint that now painted the white flooring, she walked around the canvas now standing in front of the older male.
"I would like that Marcus" she replied her lips curled up slightly however her eyes furrowed slightly before she questioned "what do you do if you didn't mind me asking?"
The vampire froze at that, what was he to tell her? That he was a vampire king and drains human blood. No. He need to make something up.... Something believable yet something that fits into his role as king.
"I......" he paused for a moment before answering "..... I am a lawyer" he inwardly scolded himself at his own words 'Damn it Marcus!'. He glanced down watching as Estelle processed his words before she smiled causing him to let out a breathe that he didn't know he was holding in.
"Wow! So young too can't say I'm not impressed!" Estelle chuckled before walking back behind the canvas, she made a couple more extra touches to the piece before she stepped back admiring her work "I'm finished"
The king practically kicked himself away from the wall, taking king strides towards Estelle who was staring at her work with a proud look crossing her features, When Marcus stopped beside her he was speechless.
He of course had seen the work from that very day in the town of Volterra, yet this was simply incredible. He was impressed how she had managed to capture the emotion in his eyes, how she had structured his cheek bones to perfection.
"You can keep it if you would like" Estelle's voice snapped Marcus out from his trance his dark orbs locked onto Estelle's doe brown ones "Free of charge of course"
"Thank you...." Marcus thanked pulling Estelle into his arms who squealed in complete surprised, yet the king didn't mind at that moment as the familiar scent of cinnamon filed his senses.
The brunette froze for a moment before she calmed down wrapping her arms around Marcus's waist, she had no idea why but this man made her feel safe.....
Unknowingly the red string that wrapped around both their fingers was no longer red but golden.

MC is strong from the word go and he has a specific goal. He's also learned many skills before the beginning of the novel, so don't expect a murderhobo for levels. That being said, the mc will grow stronger and will have become so strong (not overpowered) by the end of the first book. There are many races besides humans but they are not the main focus of the story, so they will only appear when the plot involves them. This novel is dedicated to the late William Wilberforce. *** I made the cover picture from picart. Original images don't belong to me. If you are the owner and you want it removed just pm me.
