Aro watched his two brothers with calculative eyes, Marcus hadn't participated in their daily feast that evening whilst Caius seemed more angry than what he usually is.
They were hiding something from him. The raven haired vampire'a eyes darkened at even thinking of that, he trusted his two brothers with his life but now, he beg to differ.
"Master?" James voice called out to Aro who snapped out of his mind set noticing that the blonde female was staring at him with a look of worry "does you not feel well?"
Aro inwardly snorted at that question, knowing full well that he a creature of the night. Vampire, cannot get sick.
"Call my brothers here at once" was his reply before going back to staring up at the ceiling bored, Jane paused for a moment wondering why her king wanted the others yet she didn't ask as she walked out of the throne room
Estelle curled herself into a ball on the hard bed that was the only furniture that sat within the small cell, the windows were barricaded with bars and the door was locked.... She had no were to go.
The brunette's eyes filled with tears at that moment before small sobs escaped her the salty tears now stained the once white night gown she wore which was now covered in dirt.
Marcus would come up to give her food fresh from the kitchens yet she didn't eat any of it, Estelle could practically feel eyes on her all the time but she never looked up to see who it was.
"Estelle?" Her head then snapped up meeting the eyes of her friend Felix whom was staring at her, his eyes softened at the sight of the petite girl.
"Felix? thank god!" She cried scurrying off of the hard bed she found herself at the bar door her hands reached out to Felix who reached out to her their hands touched "you got to get me out of here!"

Felix swallows the limp within his throat. He had been told by Marcus that his and the other kings mate was locked up within the castle, in fact he had watched his friend be captured by Demetri and Alec
Felix could do nothing as he watched Alec's power surround Estelle pulling her into the darkness, taking her to the castle of Volterra..... he was not worthy of being her friend.
"I.... I can't" the tall man spoke in a mere whisper yet loud enough for Estelle to have heard him as she stared at him in disbelief
"Your working for them.... Your working for him" Estelle realised turning her back from Felix she found herself sitting back on the edge of the bed her hands covered her face.
As soon as both Marcus and Caius walked through the doors of the throne room, they closed shut. Aro was sat on the middle throne his eyes practically staring into both their souls
"Brother" Marcus greeted politely ignoring the glare sent his way whilst Caius merely scoffed storming towards the middle of the room Marcus soon followed
"Why did you call for us? I have a piece I'm still working on" the blonde king spoke in a snarky tone which earned a disapproval look from Marcus
Aro however did not care of his brothers words slowly he rose from his throne, taking long threatening stride towards Caius whom stood unimpressed
However the blonde king didn't expect his brother to take off his glove but before he could move his hand Aro caught it, his blood red orbs glazed over diving into Caius's memories
Aro had done this before of course as memories of the past filled his mind however he went in deeper, not caring that he was causing his brother pain until.... He saw her
He saw a beautiful petite young girl no older than seventeen curled up within a bed of a cell, a cell that he knows is within the largest tower of the castle. He could see the tears in her eyes, how scared she was.

Yet his blood boiled in anger seeing his brothers anger towards the small human. He did not know why he felt so protective of this girl but he was surely going to find out.
Roughly he brought his hands back by his sides before stomping out of the throne room Marcus quickly followed suit leaving Caius breathing heavily on the floor.
"Aro wait!" Marcus called out his voice rose which shocked most of the guards that they had passed through the halls within the castle. Yet Aro wasn't listening.
The raven haired king's paste grew quicker and quicker before he found himself running at vampire speed up the staircase of the very tower itself, he could hear the small cries coming from the very top.......
Felix closed his eyes hearing his best friend crying within the cell. He wished that he could let her out, to help her leave but he couldn't, Estelle was his mistress now she was the kings mate.
The sound of air swooshing caught Felix's attention he quickly got into a battle stance ready to fight anyone who means Estelle any harm.
But his posture soon stiffened seeing two of his masters, Aro and Marcus. Marcus held a worried yet calm expression but Aro on the other hand held a look of pure rage.
"Open the cell Felix. NOW!" Aro snapped at the guard who flinched at his masters tone. Not wanting to disobey orders the tall male brought out a pair of keys from his cloak before he opened the door.
Estelle heard the lock click open, standing up she quickly rushed to leave only to bump into a large, muscular body.... Slowly she looked up her doe brown eyes met a familiar blood red.
Aro felt as if his heart had stopped at that moment. Which was weird since it hadn't beaten for a million years, as soon as he stared into her innocent doe brown eyes he felt something snap within him....
Estelle watched the man before her trail her figure from head to toe his lips slowly curled upwards into a small smile his eyes softened as he reached towards her
"non sei una piccola cosa preziosa" Aren't you a precious little thing. Aro spoke in a mere whisper he went to touch her cheek yet he brought his arm back not wanting to invade her privacy.
"Take her into one of the rooms, and make sure she is bathed and appropriately dressed" Aro spoke, yet it wasn't a demand. It was an order.
Felix quickly rushed to Estelle's side who began to fall unconscious, slowly he brought her into his arms before he flashed out fo the tower leaving Aro and Marcus alone.
"Aro I can explain" Marcus's voice cut through the silence as he watched his brother examine the cell in disgust before noticing the full tray that sat on the floor.
"I want to here none of it brother" Aro snarled which reminded the other king of that of an animal he then turned to glare at him "both you and Caius had hid my mate OUR mate from me!"
Marcus pinched the edge of his nose, the feeling of guilt began to build up within him. Yes he was wrong to not tell his brother it was just.... He didn't want her to be like the others..... trapped, imprisoned.
He wanted Estelle to be free, to trust him. But it seemed that alone would be harder than he thought.

Living as a Demon
Jonathan was living the life of a normal human male in modern-day society, until he was rudely awakened one night by a summoning circle that ripped him out of his reality and dumped him into a new world filled with magic, demons, and…mouthy young orphan girls?! Now Jonathan must navigate the trials of playing guardian to a preteen, learning to unlock his inner demon, and somehow managing to find a dang pair of pants! Welcome! I'm E.O. Tenkey; thank you for considering Living as a Demon, my third released work here on Royal Road (following Not a Manga and Mr. Familiar)! Let's set some expectations, shall we? • Not much hard profanity (chapter 1 is the exception!)• Human MC! Our protagonist is a bona fide homo sapiens. Which is not to say there won't be demons, demonic powers, and what-have-you, but this isn't some grimdark exploration of the life and times of a nihilistic, amoral killing machine.• Slice of life. My previous works always ended up there, so might as well get ahead of the curve!• Weekly updates, and a completed story: I will post a single chapter per week on Wednesdays until the story is complete (extra chapters are rare, but do happen).

Gamer
This story is abandoned and has not been authorized for distribution on any sites but RoyalRoad. Given the Gamer ability after shattering a crystal inside a game, Jon's world is upturned as he is thrown into a life he considered fantasy. Making new enemies and encountering a god, he cannot escape the quest which is forced on him. Different worlds and different situations, can he come out on top? He's neither perfect nor a saint, he is Jon. Welcome to Gamer. This has been dropped, I didn't like the way I forced a few plotpoints and I lost my notes on the story itself. Read below if you want to be spoilered. As far as I recall, he would change race into a higher human after using a spell to overload his mana repeatably until his body forcibly adapts, he would train up his rift usage spell with some better targets than God's Realm because he keeps hitting his stats limit until the cost lowers enough that he can actually grind it. His world is being invaded by multiple worlds, so the god had many backup plans where a lot of people went into their own fantasy settings and came back to defend Earth. Jon never is the strongest one out there, he has to keep grinding and grinding before he gets stronger than the other heroes, and at that point the invasion is nearing the final stretch. Jon's two biggest advantages is that he can keep grinding without hitting a cap he can't evolve, and that even when he is eventually killed. He would have respawned in the nearest 'Safe Zone' after dropping a level and everything he did to gain that level. I also had a bunch of ideas for mini-arcs where he would play in multiple worlds in multiple situations, not that great of an idea in retrospect.
