《Sure Thing, Commander ✔︎》12

Ahsoka dashed onto the ship and fired up the engine. She had to get to Rex. He was on a ship by Corellia, she was coming to get him. She flew the ship up, and out of the trees. As Ahsoka was flying, she got a good look at the planet. It was breathtaking. She had to stay focused though.
Ahsoka flew out of Kashyyyk's atmosphere and into space. She put in the coordinates and took off into hyperspace. She didn't dare waste any time. As soon as the ship was in autopilot Ahsoka began to relax, at the same time stressed as ever. There were so many things that could go wrong. She could get captured! Then they would both be executed on the spot.
She shook off the thought and came up with a plan. In her visions, Ahsoka saw a door splattered with different substances. Rex must be in that room. She remembered there was a number over the door way. It was 85. She would have to land the ship and get out fast to get to Rex. This was gonna be harder than Ahsoka had hoped for. She would find Rex, get him off the ship and they would hide out on a nearby planet.
The ship came to a stop close to a large star destroyer. She put on the ship's cloaking device and prayed that they wouldn't see her coming. But first she needed to know for sure if Rex was still in the room, the room he was being tortured in.
She closed her eyes and searched for him in the force. Everything was a blur until he came into view. Ahsoka wished she hadn't seen him. He looked terrible, cuts covering his body. The blood from them staining his shirt and creating a pool on the ground below him. He was in unbearable pain, Ahsoka could feel it. He was barely breathing at all and he looked as weak as ever.
"Rex" Ahsoka choked out.
Rex looked up with the slightest expression of hope. He could sense her, and she could sense him. Ahsoka saw as he mouthed words that sent a shiver down her spine. They shook her to the very core.
The words were, "Help me"
Ahsoka choked back a cry of terror and her breaths were uneven and raspy. She needed to get him out now. She navigated the ship closer to the star destroyer and near the landing hanger. She went through the force field and swiftly landed the ship near the exit.

"UNSCHEDULED ARRIVAL AT BAY 7" speakers boomed, "UNSCHEDULED ARRIVAL AT BAY 7"
Ahsoka leapt out of the ship right into a group of clones. They began to open fire and Ahsoka dodged the blaster shots. She pulled her pistol out of her pocket, set it to stun, and took out several troopers.
"It's the Jedi!" a clone called.
A clone behind her grabbed Ahsoka's wrist and she flipped him over by the arm. Several other troopers lunged at her and tried to tackle her. But she was too quick, she jumped out of the way and kicked them in the shin, or stunned them. One came at Ahsoka and she punched him in the jaw and swept him off his feet, he landed on the ground with a thump.
Clones began to file out all around her and Ahsoka shot at them, hitting everyone one. She used the force to lift the clones off the ground and throw them into the wall. There was no time for distractions so she ran past them still shooting at the clones behind her. They ran after Ahsoka, determined to catch and turn her in. Ahsoka wasn't going to let that happen. As she was running she used the force to find out where to go. She remembered seeing a cell in her vision and made a sharp turn down the closest hallway.
"Just hold on Rex" she thought.
She was coming, Rex could feel it. He let out a sigh of relief, he wouldn't have to go through this any longer. The cuts from the blade burned, and the interrogator was searching through the tools at the moment. Rex was covered in blood from his neck to his toes. He just had to be patient and wait. Ahsoka was coming, coming to save him.
Suddenly Rex heard blaster shots and clones shouting orders and yelling to one another. It was her. The death trooper seemed to notice, he tore himself away from the tools and stood in front of the door. The clones on either side looked at one another and readied their blasters. The interrogator shook his head figuring it was nothing to worry about and went back to the array of weapons.
"This one ought to do" he growled picking up the zygerrian whip.
Rex went stiff. No not the whip. The clone in all black picked it up and pushed a button, turning it on. He threw his hand up with the whip in it, and lashed it across Rex's back. Rex howled, the torment of the whip coming back like an old memory. He bit his lip, trying to ease the pain. But soon there was the familiar taste of blood.

Suddenly the door opened, and Ahsoka dashed in and aimed her blaster at the death trooper. She shot him and even though Rex wanted to tear him to pieces, he was relieved to see that he was only stunned. Ahsoka would never kill a clone, not on purpose. She stunned the two other clones and closed the door quickly.
"Rex," she said, her voice breaking.
"You came for me" Rex said weakly.
"Of course I did" Ahsoka whispered, "Why wouldn't I?"
She dashed over to Rex and ran a delicate hand over his face. He leaned into her warm touch and Ahsoka was heartbroken to see him like this. Rex was bloodied, bruised, beaten, and his clothes were torn to shreds. Just then the two heard the footsteps of clones. Ahsoka quickly locked the door and hurried back over to Rex.
"How do I get you out of here?" she asked, frantically looking around.
"Over there" Rex muttered, gesturing to the array of buttons.
Ahsoka ran over to it and pressed a red button. The containment fields turned off and Rex fell to the ground. Ahsoka ran over to him and helped him to his feet. She led him to a wall that Rex used to steady himself. Right now he was too weak to stand on his own. Rex heaved and pointed to his neck, where a metal collar was. Ahsoka recognized these collars from the zygerrian slave traders.
She put all her strength into getting the thing off but it wouldn't budge. Ahsoka tried and tried until finally she pried the collar off.
"I'm so glad you're okay" she blurted out, "I was so worried"
Rex cuffed Ahsoka's face with his hand and Ahsoka put her hand over his. She pulled his hand down and their fingers intertwined.
"We're getting out of here" she grunted, pulling her hand out of his and slinging his arm around her neck.
"What about the clones?" Rex rasped.
"I'll take care of them," Ahsoka claimed.
There was a knock on the door and Rex could hear the voices of clones trying to get the door open.
"Ready?" Ahsoka asked.
Rex nodded in response.
"3" Ahsoka began to count down.
There was a sudden loud buzz as the clones were cutting the door open.
"2"
Rex could hear as several more troopers dashed in, eager to help.
"1"
Ahsoka threw up her hand and the door flew backwards, knocking the unlucky clones out who were in the way. That left only a couple troopers. Ahsoka hastily stunned them before hauling Rex out of the room.
As they passed by cells, prisoners begged to be freed at the door. Ahsoka wished she could help them, but right now she had to focus on saving Rex. An alarm sounded, blaring at the two shuffling down the hall. Former Jedi and clone, stumbled past cells and became closer to freedom.
Rex groaned and his eyes fluttered, he was getting weaker by the minute.
"Hang in there" Ahsoka pleaded, "We're almost to the hanger"
Rex grunted in response and Ahsoka had to practically drag him down the long corridor. They came out of the hallway and into the hanger, where the clones were waiting for them.
"Blast them!" one cried.
Blaster shots filled the hanger, several just barely missing them. One grazed Ahsoka's arm and she let out a muffled cry pushing forward. She forced the clones up and threw them to the side, while stunning the ones that remained.
"We're gonna make it" she said, trying to convince herself, "We're gonna make it"
More troops rushed in and fired at Rex and Ahsoka. Ahsoka spotted the ship in the corner and hauled Rex over to it. Rex's breaths were short and quick, Ahsoka had to hurry.
"You gotta help me" Ahsoka begged, "Please"
Rex began to stumble with Ahsoka, getting closer and closer to the ship. The ramp was surprisingly still down and Ahsoka used all her strength to run with Rex towards the ship. To safety. She stunned several more clones, along with forcing some others out of the way before they got on the ship.
Ahsoka pushed the button and the ramp was pulled up, sealing the clones off from inside. The ship shook vigorously and Ahsoka led Rex to the medical room. She called for the medical droid but it was nowhere to be found. She helped Rex lie down on the bed and darted to the cockpit.
The ship shook again, only this time it was more violent. Ahsoka pushed a number of buttons and pulled several levers and triggers. She flew the ship out of the landing hanger and off the star destroyer. They were gonna be okay. Ahsoka had been right.
