Ahsoka and Lux stood up quickly. This wasn't going to end well.
"Rex, you remember Lux" Ahsoka stammered, "He was with us when we were on Onderon and helped the rebels"
Rex nodded slowly scowling at the boy in front of him, "Right"
"And Lux this is my good friend, Rex" she said, introducing the pair.
"P-pleasure" Lux stumbled for words.
Lux's face was whiter than tauntaun on hoth. He swallowed hard, extending his arm to shake hands. Rex didn't take it. Instead he gave Lux a glare that said, "Stay away from Ahsoka" Rex looked back to Ahsoka and she sighed with relief. The tension began to fade away as Ahsoka crashed into Rex's arm, hugging him tightly.
Rex cuffed Ahsoka's face, the togruta and clone gazing deep into each other's eyes. Finally their lips met. Ahsoka's lips were sweet like the fruit they ate on Kashyyyk. Just the memory of being taken from her, her cries of pure terror, sent a shiver down Rex's spine. Ahsoka's arms dangled around Rex's neck and he pulled her closer, his hands falling to her hips.
Lux cleared his throat and they parted. Ahsoka looked down, blushing just slightly. She giggled a bit before looking up at Rex, who was just giving Lux a nasty look. Rex's attention went back on Ahsoka and a wide grin spread across his face.
"We made it," he whispered.
"I'm so glad you're alright" Ahsoka murmured, burying her face into Rex's chest.
"What happened?" Rex asked, "All I remember is blaster shots flying everywhere and you leading me to the ship. Then everything went black"
Ahsoka bit her lip, "I flew us off the star destroyer then some problems came up" "I was about to jump to light speed and an enemy ship hit our hyper drive" she explained, "We were flying fine for a bit but eventually started to jump from system to system. Until we crashed here"
"Where exactly is here?" Rex questioned looking around.
"Onderon" Ahsoka said.
"And the ship?" Rex asked.
"It's in ruins," Ahsoka started, "But I'm sure we can go back to the wreck and still save some supplies as well as your armor"

"Then what are we waiting for?" Rex took Ahsoka's hand into his own.
"Well I was waiting for you but seeing as you're finally okay..." Ahsoka trailed off.
"Then let's go," Rex declared, giving Ahsoka a soft peck on her forehead.
He wasn't hesitating to show Lux who was boss. Rex couldn't stand the thought of this little boy getting in the way. From the start Rex had a clear disliking for Lux. When helping the rebels Rex noticed how ignorant and stubborn he was. He would go against the plans, which especially made Rex upset.
"I'll come too" Lux intervened, "I could help look for anything left that might be of use"
Rex muttered something under his breath about Lux being a shavit face, coughing to hide the insult. Lux clearly heard it and a look of surprise flashed across his face.
"I can help!" Lux protested.
Ahsoka put a hand on Rex's shoulder. He was going to love this.
"Rex" she started, "You know he's right"
Rex rolled his eyes and smirked, crossing his arms.
"I know you don't exactly like him right now" Ahsoka muttered, "But he knows this planet a lot better than we do" "You would have died if he didn't help me bring you to this camp"
Rex raised an unapproving eyebrow at the boy then turned back to Ahsoka.
"He's not causing any trouble for you, is he?" Rex asked.
Ahsoka held her breath and shook her head.
"And there's nothing going on between you two?" Rex questioned.
"Nothing" Ahsoka reassured him.
Deep in her chest, Ahsoka felt her hollow stomach drop. She was lying, in a way. Sure there wasn't anything going on now. In the past was another story. Lux hadn't forgotten that kiss, and neither had she. But Ahsoka never thought much of it. It was just to keep their cover. Right?
"Alright let's get going then" Rex grunted, leading Ahsoka and Lux away from the camp.
"Rexter you don't even know where the ship is" Ahsoka teased with a small laugh.
Lux huffed at the nickname. Since when did Ahsoka call this feeble minded clone Rexter? Rex stopped in his tracks and turned around, rubbing the back of his neck. He gave an embarrassed laugh then gestured for Ahsoka to lead the way.

It wasn't long before they came upon the ship. It was still slightly on fire and pieces of it were scattered on the ground. Rex gave a small yelp of terror when he saw it. He quickly dashed inside and retrieved his armor, a relieved look plastered on his face.
"Lux look out for any pistols, medical supplies, or transmitters" Ahsoka ordered.
"Got it" Lux replied, venturing onto the ship.
Ahsoka followed close behind, clenching her jaw. Just the sight of the ship torn apart made her uneasy. The medical room had caved in on itself, it was impossible to get through.
"Let's try the closet," Ahsoka suggested.
They made their way down the long hall and towards the closet. Ahsoka heard something making an awful lot of noise, maybe an animal. She tiptoed, trying to stay as quiet as possible. She signaled for Lux to do the same.
They arrived at the closet to see a Crypt lizard clawing through the blasters. It had already damaged most of them, but Ahsoka saw that some of them were untouched. She pulled out her handgun and shot at the lizard. To her surprise, it jumped out at Ahsoka. She screamed and tripped on a blaster, falling backwards. Just as she was about to hit the ground she felt arms catch her. She looked up to see Lux, a disgusting smug look on his face. She hastily scrambled to get up and put as much space as possible between Lux and her.
Rex ran in moments later, his armor on was back on along with a worried look. He had his helmet close to his side, Ahsoka knew it was going to be awhile before he could put it on.
"I heard you scream is everything alright?" he asked hurriedly.
"Everything's fine" she muttered, "There was an animal in the closet, it scared me. I tripped on a blaster and-"
Ahsoka swallowed hard and prayed Rex would take this lightly.
"Lux caught me. But it's fine, most of your blasters are still here" she said quickly, trying to change the subject.
Rex looked at Lux with disgust. Ahsoka knew he would get protective. She loved that he was protective of her, but right now they had to focus on the task at hand. Rex walked over to Lux and got up in his face.
"Don't touch her again" Rex threatened, poking Lux's shoulder, "Or I will deal with you, personally"
"Yes sir" Lux sputtered.
Rex smirked, the fear on Lux's face reminded him of when he was training the shinies. Whenever he entered a room, fear came. All the rookies had heard the stories of their fearless, courageous, and strong captain. They knew they didn't want to get on his bad side.
"Good," Rex replied walking back over to Ahsoka.
"Was that really necessary?" Ahsoka asked, putting a hand on her hip.
"No" Rex admitted, "But he needs to learn to keep his kriffing hands off you"
Ahsoka laughed and took Rex's hand. Their fingers intertwined and they headed back to the camp.
"I see you decided to put your armor back on" Ahsoka observed.
Rex nodded, "I have a feeling we are gonna run into some trouble along the way"
A grim look passed over both their faces.
"Also it's kinda cold" Rex added.
The two both bursted out laughing. Rex slung an arm around Ahsoka and pulled her closer to him. No way was he letting her out of his sight, at least not in these conditions. Behind them, Lux wondered what they were laughing about. He glared at Rex.
This clone was interfering with his plan. Lux had thought about Ahsoka everyday after she left, he had realized his true feelings for her. Now that she was back he was overjoyed. But Rex was making it hard for Lux. He needed to get out of the picture. Then Ahsoka would fall for him, he was sure of it. No one was gonna stop Lux from getting Ahsoka. Not even this clone.
