《Sure Thing, Commander ✔︎》29

Rex scanned the area, making note of the three guards at every entrance. Their armor was similar to that of the clones, but the helmets were oddly shaped. He waited and watched, memorizing when they were out of sight. If he couldn't see them, they couldn't see him. He made a plan to sneak in an entrance while in this blind spot, and hopefully not draw any attention to himself. He also kept his eyes peeled for any of the remaining clones. None. Rex heaved a sigh before going over the plan in his mind one last time.
The guards at the entrance closest to him were about to be in the blind spot soon. He had to time this perfectly, or else the entire prison would know he was here, and this stealth mission wouldn't catch the guards by surprise. The guards walked away from the door and Rex shot out from behind his hiding spot and ran as fast as he could towards the door. The setting sun helped disguise him as just another shadow and he quickly arrived at a large metal door. He tried to open it and his heart dropped. It was locked.
Before he knew it he was running back to his hiding spot and panicking. What was he going to do? He looked at the little timer in the corner, 8 hours. He had wasted so much time hatching a plan and memorizing the schedule and now his time was running out.
"Kriff" he cursed under his breath, his mind racing, trying to find a solution to the problem.
A light bulb went off in his brain, and whatever hope Rex had left started to grow. A distraction ought to do the trick. Rex aimed his pistols and shot a single charge at a nearby bush. Sure enough the guards dashed over to where the shot was fired. Rex took this opportunity to run back over to the door. This time, he shot the lock and dashed through the door. Then he ran.
Right when the guards got back, they would know that someone had gotten inside. So Rex had to be quick. Where were they? He flew down corridors filled with surprised prisoners. How would he ever find the Weequays in this maze? Maybe a nearby control center. That could work.

His feet pounded the ground as Rex ran down the long halls. He couldn't find this Kriffing Control Room!
"Where is it?" Rex grumbled under his breath, being careful to stay quiet.
Suddenly a voice boomed over loudspeakers and Rex knew this was no longer a stealth mission. They knew he was here.
"ALERT BREAK IN AT ENTRANCE SEVENTEEN BE ON THE LOOKOUT" A deeper voice called.
Rex just pushed himself to go faster, beads of sweat forming on his forehead. If he didn't find this Control Center quick, he'd be captured as well. Then, out of nowhere, a blaster shot just barely missed his shoulder. Rex whirled around to see three guards gaining on his tail.
"Just perfect" he groaned.
"Stop right there!" a storm trooper called.
Rex shot behind him, luckily hitting one of the troopers in the knee. But he didn't stop running. The guards kept getting closer and closer and Rex was getting tired. Finally he saw a little sign that said, "Control Center" His heart skipped a beat and he barged through the door, closing it behind him. He was safe.
Then the clicks of charges being put in place rang in his ears. He slowly put his hands up, a firm grip on his pistols.
"Don't move!" an imperial officer shouted, his blaster shaking in his hand.
Behind him were four more officers, all in matching grey, dull looking, outfits.
"Drop your weapons!" one demanded.
Rex hesitated before slowly kneeling and gently placing his pistols on the ground. The officers started to lower their blaster. Bad idea. Rex lunged at the nearest officer, sweeping him off his feet so that he hit his head rather hard when he landed. The next officer jumped on top of him. Rex just smirked and effortlessly threw him into the wall. Two more came running his way and Rex balled his hands into fists. He kicked one in the chest sending him flying backwards, and onto all of the controls.
Then he punched another in the jaw, knocking him out. The last one started at the clone with wide eyes. He threw his blaster to the ground and his hands shot up.

"Please don't hurt me!" he begged.
Rex set his pistols to stun then blasted him and all the other officers. Just in case. Then he got right to work. He searched the database for the pirates, scrolling through the log of prisoners. Suddenly a laugh rang in his ears and a small screen flashed in his helmet. It flickered then Ahsoka appeared.
"Time is ticking for your friend!" Hondo's unmistakable voice said, "You better hurry..."
With the last words Rex watched as two pirates jabbed her with an electro staff. Her screams echoed through Rex's helmet, and he gritted his teeth. The holocam zoomed in to reveal her singed face, looking so pained and desperate. Rex winced and pressed a button and turned off both the holocam and the comlink.
His eyes examined the screens, as a chart of where the prisoners were being held popped up.
"Now where are they?" Rex thought out loud.
He traced each name with his finger until he found one that sounded familiar. Gersaka. Sorgon's brother. Hallway 5-C, that's where he was.
"That must be where they all are," Rex concluded.
He made his way to the door and was about to open it when he heard voices.
"He's in here!" an officer cried.
"Get this door open!" a storm trooper demanded.
The sound of buzzing filled the room and all Rex could do was wait. Wait until they get the door open. The buzzing got louder and louder until it hurt Rex's ears. All of the sudden, the door burst open, it falling to the ground and causing a loud clatter.
Charges whizzed all around Rex and he fired as well. He shot a couple officers as well as one or two troopers. Three left. The two guards kept shooting and Rex charged at them. He picked one up and threw him into the other, both of them crashing to the ground. The last officer wasn't as scared as Rex would have thought. He landed a punch to Rex's helmet, only to crumble back and clutch his hand, groaning in pain. Rex used this time to uppercut the poor officer, knocking him out.
Then he took off. Rex followed the signs down the many hallways. He ran past hallway 1, 2, 3, 4, until he finally arrived at 5. Now for the letters. He scrambled down the hallway, trying his hardest not to look at the groaning prisoners. They cried out to him as he ran by and his heart went out to them. But he would rather save Ahsoka than the prisoners. He knew it was selfish but it was true.
He ran down the hall not even looking at the numbers. Soon more guards would come, he had to act now.
"Gersaka!" he called, zipping down yet another hallway.
He kept yelling the name and all the prisoners shot him confused looks.
"Does anyone know where I can find Gersaka?" Rex shouted.
An older Twi'lek man started to wave his arms, in a desperate attempt to get Rex's attention.
"I know him!" he cried.
Rex dashed over to the man.
"Do you know where I can find him?" Rex asked.
"Down this hall and to the right" the man said, out of breath.
"Thanks" Rex said, "Your help will be rewarded. I'll come back for you!"
By the time he finished that sentence, Rex was already running again. He checked the timer quickly, six hours left. By the time he got the prisoners out, that would just barely be enough time to get back.
"Gersaka!" Rex started to shout again.
"Gersaka?" a higher voice questioned, "Who said that name?"
Rex made his way over to a cell with a fairly young looking Weequay inside. He didn't look to be over eighteen. His eyes widened as he caught sight of Rex.
"I did" Rex said, "Your brother sent me. I'm here to rescue you"
