"Are you ready?" Jensen asks

"Yes. No, wait. What if they don't like me?" I ask worried

"Then they are not my fans. Come on, everything will be fine" he says and kisses me

"Maybe we should call our family first"

"(Y/N), do you regret saying yes?"

"What? No, of course not. I love you more than anything and I want to marry it's just that... I'm terrified of what's out there Jensen. I've been used on being behind the camera and never the topic of the interest. But now this is about to change and I don't know if I can take this" I say. He hugs me and rubs my back

"When I asked you to marry me, I didn't mean just the marriage part. I meant that I was going to be on your side and I will protect you forever. So whatever happens I'm not going to let anyone hury you" he says

"I love you" I say and I kiss him

"I love you too" he says

"Ok, let's get this thing over. 1... 2... 3" and with that we both tapped the post button

For the next at least hour we were both talking to the phone with friends and family that were saying their congratulations.

"So this is our house now" I say

"Yes. I know I promised that we would see it in person first but it was exactly how you imagined it and I couldn't resist. So yes, I bought it last week" he says

"It's fine. I love it. And I love you" I say and I kiss him

"Are we going shopping?" he asks

"Yes, we are" I say and I smile. He smiles too. "Also my mom wants both of us to go there for dinner tomorrow if we can be there. She also said that she'll have the rest of the family there so you could meet them. Do you want to go? I don't want to force you if you don't" I say

"No, we should go. I'm totally fine with it" he says

"Ok. I'm gonna let her know. And don't worry, I might be more more stressed out than you are about this"

"Why? Are you ashamed of me?"

"Are you kidding me right now? Of course not. I've just always been the little, forgotten and unemployed or had the worse job. A photographer doesn't find a job easy. And now I'm afraid that they might be a bit..."

"Jealous? Surprised that they were wrong?" he says

"Yeah, sure" I say ironically.

So the next day we flied back to Vancouver and went to my mom's house. But walking down the path to her house holding hands, I spotted some of her friends around trying to act like they haven't noticed us. "I know" Jensen says "They are looking at us" he continues

"How do you--"

"After ten years, I've gotten something like a sensor and I can feel it when the eyes and cameras are on me" he says

"They are actually friends of my mom. Probably from the book reading club" I say

"Do you want to give them something to work on?" he asks me and smiles

"Like?" I ask and he kisses me. It was a really passionate kiss that lasted for long enough so they could all see us. He pulls away "I think that now they are convinced" he says and I chuckle. We keep walking and he wraps his arm around my shoulders.

When we got in the house, I realized that more people than I expected were there. I took my mom to the kitchen "What are they doing here?" I ask her

"They called yesterday and I couldn't say no (Y/N), I'm sorry" she says

"You know that they haven't talked to neither of us since dad died right? His family just cut us off. We only had your family"

"I know. But I couldn't stop them (Y/N). If you were the one who talked to them yesterday you would have done the same. We both know that they are here for him" she says and I nod.

"Uhm, (Y/N)?" I hear Jensen ask and I turn

"Jensen, I'm sorry. I should have warned both of you" mom says

"It's fine mom" I say

"I just couldn't let them talk about you (Y/N) like they did" she says and her eyes get watery

"What did they say about her?" Jensen asks and comes next to me

"They basically called her a big fat lier that has no life and couldn't in a million years have someone like you and they believed that she just took your photo and posted fake photos" she says.

"Basically, whoever in there hates me is from dad's family and the rest are from my mom's" I say and he nods.

"Well, they probably know nothing about you" he says and kisses me. "I love you" he says

"I love you too" I say.
