《Law of God (Book 1)》six

Izza and I decided that we were going to make a plan for a couple's night out with David, and we all decided to go out for a party at Bridget Church's birthday celebration.
On our way there, I remember asking Izza if she remembered that we were gonna go to church that Sunday. She says she was, and I said okay." I sighed, listening to Jacob.
I felt this knot in my stomach and it felt so tight. Jacob continued to confess. "I walked into Bridget's house, we all did. Bridget had welcomed us to our first frat party.
I was excited, I guess. I never really got invited to any parties in particular." Detective James asked what happened next. Jacob shrugged, "I got us something to drink, until I saw Izza who was talking to David, she looked super suspicious." I told Jacob that he never told me who these people are.
Jacob swallowed once again, "I remember leaving the kitchen with the drinks, I handed David, and Izza their own drinks, until I noticed Izza putting away her phone in her pocket."
Detective James asked if Jacob asked Izza who she was texting. "She told me it was her mother just trying to make sure she was having fun, and I kind of didn't believe it, but then I eventually I did believe it."
I leaned against the table, putting my hands and crowding my fingers together. I did say to Detective James that Jacob didn't murder anyone.
But then all of a sudden, Jacob is confessing that I am praying to God that he caused no harm. Something just tells me that Jacob is the murderer. I didn't think of it before, but why now? "So then, what happened next?" Detective James asked.
Jacob swallowed, "Izza and I went back to join the party with the rest of the people." I kept thinking in the back of my mind, what if Jacob is confessing to make himself look innocent, and I kept asking myself if my brother really is the one who killed Izza.

"So what happened after you and Izza went back to the party? What did you all do before?" Jacob explained to Detective James that he saw Izza looking at her phone again.
"I thought maybe she was being threatened, so I just ignored it the second time, I didn't really bother asking who was actually texting Izza." I was trying to keep myself calm. "So we left the party after about three hours, and I went to take Izza, and David home."
Detective James asked another question to Jacob, "I also remember that Izza just took her phone and slammed it down on the ground, after getting out of my car when I eventually arrived at her house.
I wanted to ask her what was wrong, but I didn't hesitate to ask." Detective James asked Jacob why as he sighs, and Jacob explained to Detective James that it wasn't his business on who Izza was texting.
"But then a couple of days later, I was at school, I was talking to David about how Izza didn't show up at school.
I thought maybe she didn't come due to another doctor's appointment." Detective James asked Jacob if Izza was sick? Jacob shrugged, not knowing why. "But then I texted Izza after lunch, and it was on my way to my sixth period class."
Detective James sighed once again, "I asked Izza if she was okay, she didn't respond to any of my text messages I sent her." I sighed, just trying to keep myself as comfortable as possible, and Jacob just got quiet.
"What is it, Jacob?" Detective James asked. Detective Evan didn't say a single word since the interview started.
Izza has been acting weird, and I started to notice she was slowly becoming this girl who I don't know." Detective James asked, "What do you mean by that, Jacob?"
Jacob explained to Detective James that Izza started to isolate from him, and David. "It had been going on for days," Jacob said. "I didn't know what to do, it was like she just changed all of a sudden."

Detective Evans eventually said something, asking Jacob was it before or after Izza found out she was pregnant? "I didn't know about it until Izza told some of her other classmates, and a rumor was spread about her pregnancy. I asked Izza if it was true, and she shook her head yes."
I sighed, wondering how Jacob never told me Izza was pregnant. Isn't it a sin to have sex with your love before a marriage? When he first told me while being questioned at home, I really didn't know what to think or how to react. I just pretend like everything is gonna be fine.
God, please tell me that my brother is lying. I am in need of God, to help me understand what Jacob is trying to imply. "So what happened next after Izza's pregnancy rumor spread out in the whole school?" Jacob explained to Detective James that he went to check on Izza making sure she was okay.
"She was crying in the bathroom, she was too embarrassed to come out because everyone was laughing at her." Detective James asked, "And everyone was talking about her behind her back, correct?" Jacob sighed, shaking his head, telling Detective James he was correct. "Did you believe that Izza was telling you the truth about her pregnancy?" Detective James asked. "Yea, I did."
I continued listening to Jacob and Detective James on what they had to say, "Jacob, the lab came back positive for rape." I was confused, so was Jacob. "Are you implying that my client raped Izza? No, you got that all wrong, Jacob wouldn't do something... like that."
Jacob sighed, "I didn't know she was raped, honest. I only knew she was pregnant." Detective James cleared his throat, "Okay, but I heard this," Detective James took out a recording tape. He pushed the play button, and I heard Jacob talking to someone.
"So, what is the plan, Jacob?"
"I don't think we should be doing this."
"Hm, it was your idea."
"Fine, I will let you know tomorrow what the plan will be. Otherwise I have to get back to work, bye."
"So what was the plan Jacob? You knew Izza was pregnant, and you were planning on hooking Izza up for some older man?"
"What? No!"
"You were upset about the fact that Izza was pregnant, and so you chose to hook Izza up with an older man to punish her."
"You got it all wrong," Jacob said.
"Really? Because that voice sounded like an older man to me, say what, fifties or sixties? Why would you want Izza to hook up with him?"
"I didn't even make her hookup with another man!"
"Um, okay, let me show you what else I heard. This was two days after the man called you," Detective James changed the recording on the tape, and I sighed.
"You either are gonna stick with the plan or not?"
"I can't do this, Johnson."
"I was gonna pay you, remember? 10K in cash."
"I don't want it, you either leave me alone or I will block your number."
"Bring her to me or you will be sorry."
Detective James then stopped the recording. He took his hands and fingers and crossed them together. "This was just two days before Izza was found murdered in cold blood," Detective James said. "You got it all wrong." Jacob answered back.
"No, actually I don't. So then you went to Izza's house, you knocked on her door, she answered it, until you told her that you had a surprise for her." Jacob sighed, "No, I mean yes, I set up a picnic for us, I wanted to surprise her because I was happy that she was pregnant."
Detective James then says, "But then you weren't, why would you want Izza to hook up with the man you spoke with?"
Jacob chuckled, "I-I.... I didn't.... I-I...." I eventually told Detective James that I would like to speak with Jacob alone.

High school life in a world where everyone has superpowers
So, um... how do I explain this simply? Okay, so... There's a girl, she's er... She's in high school, and, um... She has a superpower that mutes things? Also she lives? Yeah, sorry. The concept's too confusing isn't it? Warning: The stuff below is technically correct, but this fiction, with my other, is now on the failed pledge list. Shocking how a lack of updates for more than half a year actually meant something... Sorry for the delay, still not really up to writing for this series as of now (14/03/18 - remember I'm english, so correct) but I'm still trying to get into writing... Cover is thanks to Zenlith (WriTE's Founding Member). This fiction is signed under the 'The Pledge'... Some internet message in a forum about not dropping or giving a rushed ending in their fiction, otherwise meet the wrath of letting RRL mod Vocaloid have 'fun' with the fiction's description. So mainly for the sake of my fiction due to said wrath, I'll see this fiction through. Updates: up in the air... hopefully the day after this is edited, but we all have dreams. Warning for mild profanity, but it shouldn't happen too much for the innocent out there so don't take the warning to heart.

Web of Isolation
Dane Kain: he was, on the whole, very uninvolved with life. He never had any particularly lingering attachments to life and tended to let himself be carried away by the flow of things, a fact that would become very important after his sudden death when he awoke as something completely alien. Using some half remembered fun facts from his passing obsessions in life as well as a penchant for making things work that simply shouldn't, hopefully Dane will stand a chance as the creation he has now become.

An Average American in A High-school Academy Anime
An American versed in narrative tropes and more than mildly acquainted with anime wakes up in a completely different bed than the one he went to bed in. Now he has to scramble to understand where he is, what's going on, and hope to God he isn't in a relationship drama. I don't expect this to be good or well-received, but I have plenty of time this quarantine, so I'll try to get a chapter of 4000-10000 words out every one or two weeks. (haha) Please let me know how it can be improved. I'm an avid reader of fiction, but I've never really fallen down a rabbit hole so hard that I can name all tropes and settings and such by heart. I'm not sure if this will be effective satire, so I preemptively apologize. Inspired by: "My Life is Not a Manga, or maybe..." by EO Tenkey and "The Simulacrum" by Eganthale. Check them out if you want probably better stories than this one.
