《Simple Man(Jensen Ackles X reader)》Chapter 8

I check my hair through my window to make sure my curls still existed before approaching Jared's house. I knocked on the door and heard the pitter padder of small feet, than some muffled giggles. I couldn't help but smile knowing it was Tom and Shep being. Mischievous like their dad, which reminds me I need to prepare my pranks. Soon the door opens and I'm greeted by Misha.
"Hey!!" He smiles widely. I return the smile and we hug before I enter the beautiful house.
"I didn't know you were coming." I say, following Misha.
"I was here with Jared when Gen said you were coming. We tried invited Jensen but he didn't answer his phone." Misha informs me. We enter the kitchen where everyone else is, and we say our hellos before I tell them what happened.
"Yeah we were on a date when Daneel called, she was in town with JJ and something important came up apparently so he had to leave." I shrug casually. Gen looks over at Jared in a concerned way while Jared narrows his brow.
"Daneel called Jensen? And she's in town?" Jared asks me. I nod, feeling as if I might've told them something really bad.
"Will you excuse me for a moment." Jared says pulling out his phone and walking into the other room.
"Is everything okay?" I ask Gen.
"Daneel hasn't really communicated with Jensen since the divorce.....it's been a hello, small talk and they switch off JJ. Daneel will sometimes make smart and rude comments.......or whisper things to JJ to hurt Jensen.......so I don't know why she'd come all the way up here to talk to him is odd." Gen informs me, her eyes showing deep concern.
"Have you or Jensen gone out in public together?" Misha asks.

"Uh yeah Starbucks one morning." I shrug.
"Maybe she found out and shes jealous that he's moving on. So she came up here to get him back." Misha shrugs.
"You really think Daneel would do that?" I ask, feeling my stomach begin to churn.
"That's exactly what she'd do." Gen sighs. I cross my arms over my chest, and bite my lip nervously, hoping they were wrong.......
Eventually Jared comes back into the room, not looking too happy.
"Is he okay?" I ask. Jared sighs and places his phone down on the counter.
"Him and Daneel are discussing maybe starting over......" he informs us. I frown deeply as I feel my heart sink into my stomach.
"O-oh." I breathe.
"I'm sorry y/n." Misha mumbles taking my hand gently. I shake my head and fake smile while squeezing his hand gently.
"Don't be, Ive only known him for a couple days and we only had breakfast and coffee.....it's not like I've fallen in love with him." I shrug. I look over at Gen, and I know she can see through my act but I push it aside and pull away from Misha's hand. "Now, who's ready to watch some football?" I smile.
I spent the day with Misha, Gen, Jared and the boys watching football and talking about anything but Jensen. I chest felt tight, and it was hard to really smile..I sat in the kitchen with Gen, making cookies when the doorbell rang.
"I'll get it." I announce, getting up from my seat. I jog to the door and opening it........It was Jensen.
"Hey I'm not too late for the game am I?" He asks with a tight smile.
"Uh no.....it's the second half." I inform him, standing aside to let him in. He steps inside and I close the door behind him. I begin to walk to the kitchen but I feel him grab my hand causing me to freeze and look at him.

"Can we talk?....." He asks.
"There's nothing to talk about." I mumble, trying my best to not show how affected I was.
"Y/n I'm doing what's best for JJ." He says sadly. I pull my hand away and shrug as if nothing hurt me.
"And that's good Jensen. Do what you have to do for your family and I'll do what's best for me." I shrug before turning away from him and walk towards the kitchen. Gen looks over at me, and sees my flustered face before looking behind me and noticing Jensen.
"Hey Jensen, the guys are in the living room." She smiles tightly. He nods and glances over at me before going into the living room. I take a seat at the counter and take my wine glass, chugging what's left.
"Hey come upstairs with me real quick." Gen says. I nod and follow her upstairs, down a long hall. The hallway walls were covered with family pictures and some with Jared and Jensen, Misha and some other faces I didn't recognize.
We approach a room with double doors, and Gen pushes them open and reveals a master bedroom. It was beautiful! I follow her in and stare in awe at all the decor and small details.
"This is beautiful." I comment.
"Thank you, it's kinda like our bedroom in Texas." Gen responds. The walls were a beige and the decor was different shades of warm browns and beige, making the room warm and welcoming. We take a seat on the large bed, and instantly Gen grabs my hands. "Okay let it out." Gen says suddenly.
"I'm sorry what?" I chuckle nervously.
"All the built up emotions and frustration just let it out. The room is sound proof, so don't worry about the boys hearing you downstairs." Gen says.
"I don't even want to know why the walls are sound proof but I'm fine Gen." I laugh. She lets out a small laugh and shakes her head.
"So your telling me what Jensen did isn't making you mad?" She asks arching her brow.
"I mean....."
"AHA SEE!!! now let it out girl!!!!" She laughs. I take a deep breath, ready to scream at the world but instead I feel a tear escape my eye.....and soon more follow.
"It just sucks." I sigh shakily. Gen wipes my cheek, and nods in agreement before pulling me into a large hug.
"You know Jared and I got your back." She says soothing me as she strokes my back. I nod and sniffle pulling away.
"I know, thank you so much. You've been so sweet." I smile and take her hand squeezing it gently.
"Hey were best friends now, and this is what best friends do. Besides if you didn't have me, and you just had Misha and Jared.....you'd go crazy." She laughs. I can't help but laugh as well in agreement. After awhile, I felt relief.....I just need to move on from Jensen.....I can do it!!!!

Delve
Summary – Level 1: Delve is an isekai litrpg that follows an average guy who just happened to wake up in a forest one day. He wasn’t summoned to defeat the demon lord or to save the world or anything like that, at least as far as he can tell. The only creature there to greet him was a regular old squirrel. Soon enough, he meets other people, only to discover that he can’t speak the language, and that not everybody immediately trusts random pajama-wearing strangers they met in the middle of the wilderness. Things generally go downhill from there, at least until the blue boxes start appearing. Delve is a story about finding your way in a new, strange, and dangerous world. It’s about avoiding death, figuring out what the heck is going on, and trying to make some friends along the way. It’s not about getting home, so much as finding a new one. Did I mention that there will be math? Summary – Level 2: Okay, but what are you in for, really? Well, this story is supposed to be realistic, or at least, as realistic as a fantasy litrpg can be. The main character doesn’t instantly become an all-powerful god and murder-hobo his way across the universe. Delve is, at its heart, a progression fantasy, but that progression is meant to feel earned. The numbers in this story actually mean something. Everything is calculated, and if you find a rounding error, I expect you to tell me about it. That said, if math isn’t your cup of tea, there is plenty more that the story has to offer. Characters are meant to feel real, and progression isn’t only about personal power; it’s also about allies, connections, and above all, knowledge. Figuring out how the system works is a significant theme. ... What, you want more details? Okay, fine, but this is going to get a bit spoiler-y. Are you sure? Yes! Really sure? I mean, this summary is practically half as long as the first chap– Now! Okay, okay! The main character becomes a magic user, but he takes a route that is not very popular in adventurer culture, namely that of a support. There is a full magic system with various spells, skills, and abilities, but our MC decides that aura magic is the way to go, and that the only stat worth investing in is mana regeneration. Most people at the Adventurer’s Guild think that this makes him a bit of a dumbass, but he’s playing the long game. We’ll see how that works out for him, won’t we? Because of his build, the MC levels up fast, at least compared to normal people. There are no cheats, though, and he is limited in other ways. There are some clear and pretty obvious downsides to his build. That’s what makes it fun, no? Morals? Our MC has them. Again, we’ll see how that works out for him. Realism, remember? Would you be okay with killing someone and looting their body? I sure hope not. POV? The focus is on the main character, but there will be occasional varying perspectives from people around him, or involved in the events related to the main plot. It isn’t going to jump all over the place. Tech is standard medieval stasis. No smartphones, but the MC does have a technical background. Computers and their programming might be involved. There might even be a bit of uplifting down the road, who knows? Anyway, it isn’t the focus. He isn’t going to invent the gun in chapter 1 and change the face of warfare. Romance is not a major focus. Friendships are more the name of the game, though there will be some characters in romantic relationships. There is exploration, though not as much of the geographical nature as you might expect. It is more about exploration of the system and the culture. The pace is slow and detailed, sometimes verging on slice-of-life. The action is meant to be realistic and grounded in the numbers, and it is intended to have meaning beyond simply punching things until they stop moving. The general tone of the story is grey, and some parts can get quite dark. People die. Sometimes, people with names, but not anywhere near GoT level. There is plenty of light, too, though, to balance the darkness. The world is dangerous, but overcoming that danger is why we’re all here, isn’t it? Anyway, if you’ve made it this far through the summary, you clearly like words. I hope you enjoy the story! Cover by Miha Brumec Summary Updated: 2020-06-14

Illusory
There was a girl whose feelings changed the world around her, and with every step little smoke clouds emanated from her feet. Her soul pulled right out of her chest like a long, blue comet with a tail, and swirled around her body like a protective blue flame. When she walked in a tight space the very metal itself around her melted and shifted so that she was walking in a cage of blue light, a cage of her own devising. The Wild Touch
The world of Delmathar has many conflicts and plots that span over the whole world and even into the war torn oceans. That’s not even taking into account that the world is a candidate in the Realm wars… but that’s a story for another day. Instead we will follow the story of how a goddess’s botched attempt of using a weak earth soul to make powerful Grafter for her mother, ends up empowering an unsuspecting little boy. The boy who is called Nosal Brownwhisker, who happens to be a peaceful little buttonless-shirt loving little Capyban. And as the Brownwhisker family tries to juggle their everyday lives on their monster ranch and hiding little Nosal’s secret, more and more developments keep popping up in the village of Pancreedy that makes life more.. interesting. Author’s notes:This is my first fiction and I understand it will suck. Hopefully you will find it to be enjoyable enough to hang around. There’s not going to be any epic world-ending fights or any stuff like that, just some shenanigans generally with the story progressing very slowly as it changes from many viewpoints. The world of Delmathar may seem funky for now so I will promise a glossary every 15 chapters. The wild touch will be updated at least twice a week, with me having no backlog of chapters. So if I get mobbed at work or get sick I will let you know in my notes on a short chapter. I hope you enjoy, and thank you for the people who support me, give me encouragement and pointers.
