Shasa couldn't believe her eyes, the legendary Shu Kurenai was standing right before her.
Shu is wearing a pink dress shirt with a black tie, a white vest, black pants with thin white stripes on each leg, a pink belt with a black stripe at the center and a gold buckle, white boot with dark-red lines, a black high-collared vest and square-cuffed red glove. He also has short white hair and a scar on his right eye.
"Your, Shu Kurenai." Shasa said calmly but she was still super surprised.
"I take it your Shasa?" Shu asked, having his hands on his hips. Shasa nodded yes in response.
"I heard from Toko and Nika that you were coming." Shu said.
"Really?" Shasa asked, still surprised.
"Yup, you were in BC Sol, right?" Shu asked, making sure he didn't get the information wrong.
"Yeah I am."
"What brings you here in New York?"
"I'm on a training journey, I trained with Xander with him before and after I beat him, he, Toko and Nika mentioned something about the Raging Bulls and you, so I figured I'd come and maybe you can help me make stronger." Shasa explained.
"You defeated Xander?" Shu asked in a surprised tone, Xander wouldn't lose that easily to someone random or a rookie to blading, so it was interesting that he would lose.
"Yeah, but it was only once though." Shasa explained, trying not to make herself like she was the strongest blader.
"Anyways, I was hoping to get stronger on my journey, and Raging Bulls would be a good opportunity to train here." Shasa said.
Shu looked at her and said.
"Okay, I'll help you train." Shu said.
"Really!?" Shasa asked, excitedly, she was going to train under Shu Kurenai and she was going to get stronger.

Shu looked at her and nodded yes. He didn't know why he decided to, but he felt a strong aura around her. A powerful resonance, he didn't him to end up like his other student.
"First, let me show you around." Shu said as he walked passed and Shasa followed behind.
Shasa walked inside of the building and was surprised.
There were weights, treadmills, a climbing wall and other stuff you can train on.
"Here are some exercises that can help you get stronger." Shu said.
"Woah." Shasa muttered in amazement.
Shasa and Shu then walked upstairs and were on a platform where you can look over the training tools and there were stadiums around the floors.
"First, show me what you can do." Shu said as he stood on side of a stadium.
Shasa quickly placed down her backpack and pulled out her sparking launcher and her beyblade.
"This is Cosmic Saturn." Shasa introduced her bey.
Shu looked and thought:
A sparking bey huh? Interesting...
Shasa stood in front of the stadium, and started to swing her left arm around and lock her bey into her launcher.
"Ready? Set!" Shu announced as he raised his arm.
"3!" Shasa pulled her launcher out forward.
"2!" Shasa started to spin to the left.
"1!" Shasa stomped her foot.
"GO!" Shasa leaned forward.
"SHOOT!" Shasa pulled the thread of her launcher as purple lightning bolt shot out of her launcher.
That launch style!
Shu thought, surprised by Shasas launching style, it was Valt's launching style. But also surprised that she was able to do a sparking shoot.
Cosmic Saturn landed on the stadium pretty heavy and spun around the stadium.
"Let's show him what we've got!" Shasa called out and Saturn started to speed up.

So fast Shu thought to himself.
Then Saturn decided to rush to the middle and do a barrage of attacks at nothing.
Shu watched the beys performance but watched when they bey quickly ran out of stamina and stopped spinning.
"Impressive." Shu said as he crossed his arms. Shasa looked at him, waiting for pointers.
"Follow me." Shu said as he walked the other direction, Shasa then followed.
After a couple minutes, Shasa arrived where Shu was.
She looked around and found some ropes tied up to a few posts in the air. Shu then quickly jumped up on them and looked at Shasa.
"Climb and step on the ropes." Shu said, and Shasa nodded.
She jumped on the ropes and started to lose her balance.
"Woah." Shasa said, while waving her arms but she was able to catch her balance and was standing still.
"What do I do now?" Shasa asked, looking back at Shu.
"We're going to practice launching on the slack line." Shu said as he pulled out his launcher.
Shasa looked at him with a surprised look, but nodded none the less, Shasa pulled out her launcher and waited for Shu's directions.
"Ready?" Shasa nodded yes.
"Let's go!" Shu annoucned.
"GO SHOOT!" Both bladers pulled the threads of their launchers, Shu stayed on the slack line but Shasa fell down and landed on the floor.
"oww." Shasa muttered and she got back up.
Shu looked at her and said:
"Keep your balance!" Shu said, Shasa looked at him and nodded and she jumped back onto the line.
"GO SHOOT!" Both bladers launched again, only for Shasa to fall back down onto the floor.
"Again!" Shu annoucned.
Shasa quickly jumped back onto the rope and placed her grip onto her launcher.
"GO SHOOT!" Shasa fell again.
"SHOOT!"
"SHOOT!"
"SHOOT!"
"SHOOT!"
"SHOOT!"
"SHOOT!"
"GO SHOOT!"
THUD
Every time she got back up and launched, Shasa just fell back onto the floor.
"Focus on your balance more!" Shu announced.
"Got it!" Shasa said, the amount of times she fell, she never complained nor gave up. Shu was happy about that.
Shasa jumped back onto the slack line and was wobbling.
Calm down...relax Shasa thought to herself, she breathed through her nose out of her mouth. She stopped wobbling and stood still.
Focus....Focus....Focus... Shasa kept telling to herself.
After a couple seconds, she felt wind slightly blowing through her face, her hair moving the same direction as the wind. She heard birds chirping, the sound of leaves of the trees russtle through and the sound of a waterfall, splashing on a lake of water.
She pulled out her launcher and held her grip on it.
She quickly opened her eyes and called out:
"GO SHOOT!" Shasa quickly pulled the thread, but this time, she didn't fall, she kept her balance and stayed on the rope.
Shasa was confused but soon realized she didn't fall off.
"I did it?" Shasa asked herself.
"Good job." Shasa looked over to Shu to see him smiling at her.
"You were able to keep your balance, now time for the next training session."

The Core of a Factory
An abandoned steampunk arms factory, in the middle of a conflict torn former state of the Empire it served, gains a soul. This transforms it into a Lord, capable of turning land into power. Beset by enemies on all sides it must figure out how to win the war its creators lost a century ago. This is a progressive Dungeon Core novel (which is to say the core will progress and expand in scale, eventually) across multiple dimensions with different characteristics (e.g. steampunk, magic, mythological). It has rationalist leanings (paragraphs of reasoning) and litrpg leanings (there are stat blocks). The core game mechanical idea is something like "what if different flavors of magic power actually did come from controlling land" and then the story is: "what if there was a flavorless (artifact deck) dungeon core". Chapters will be relatively short (my aim is that in three column format each would fit on a wide screen monitor), the first few chapters - setting up the main character and mechanics - are currently the longest in the entire series. I write chapters in blocks, and then release them one a weekday (M-F; 6 PM GMT, unless RoyalRoad's publish thing screws up) until I run out. There may be a few days of gaps here and there if someone finds an egregious error I have to re-write around or if I am behind. In general though one can read this once a weekend. I may do slight retconns and edits, I'll make sure to put it in an authors note if I do.

Beyond the Ordinary
A mysterious organisation is acquiring people. Why do they want them? Who are they? Is there any connection to the questions asked by astrophysics? Where do wrestling stars actually come from? Is cosplay just an excuse? What is the plural of elf? If you are short and bearded do you have to enjoy caves? At least one of these questions will eventually be answered. Any resemblance to a RPG is purely coincidental. No squirrels were harmed in the first few chapters of this story.
