and Bella sat in a train compartment of the Hogwarts Express, clouded in complete silence. The Ravenclaw girl had her nose stuck in a newspaper - The Daily Prophet, to be exact - which was not unusual for her considering how much she liked to read.
She was just reading an article about the events the night before, of which she was involved in. Fred began to quietly chuckle at her displeased facial expressions, but Arabella was completely unaware until she looked up. Yet still, she ignored him, and decided to put the newspaper aside.
"This is a joke. How can the Ministry not know who conjured the spell? Wasn't there any security or--"
"Loads, according to Dad." George started. "I don't see why they worry so much; it's not like anything bad happened." He teased, the corners of his mouth curling upwards.
Bella playfully shoved the boy on the shoulder. "I could've been killed, you dickhead!" She scowled, though her irritated expression didn't balance the laughter laced in her voice. She knew George wasn't being serious, and his obvious joking manner never failed to make her giggle.
"Your parents will want to hear about what happened last night." Fred suggested, but the redhead just shrugged.
"I would rather not have them worrying all year." She muttered, stroking her Short-Eared Owl, Henry, who had been beside her for the majority of the ride. "Besides, Ellie can write to them if she really wants to."
"I can do what?" A small, quiet voice asked, and Arabella turned around to see her younger sister in the doorway of the carriage. "All I heard was my name."
Bella smiled at the grey kitten nestled in the girl's arms. "I was saying that you could write to Mum and Dad. Use Henry to deliver the letter."
"What about Errol?" She wondered sweetly, referring to the Weasley family owl. Errol was old and fairly stupid, so as she looked at Fred and George with large, fluttering eyes, the twins exchanged an amused stare.
Bella tugged her sister by the waist, pulling her close so that her head fell onto the girl's shoulder. "I don't think you'd want Errol." She said, caressing her fingers through Eleanor's bobbed auburn hair.
"Why?"
"He's a pain in the arse, to be honest, El."
Fred nodded, chuckling slightly. He patted the empty space next to him, gesturing for his best friend's sister to sit there. Ellie grinned, taking off her yellow and black Hufflepuff scarf and placing it next to Arabella where her Ravenclaw robes were lay. She hadn't bothered to get in her uniform yet, and the train toilets were so disgusting that she considered just getting dressed in the carriage.

"So how does it feel going into second year?" Fred questioned, emphasising the last two words mockingly - as if he had just asked her to enter the depths of Hell.
"It feels good, actually. I'm excited."
George was surprised to hear that Eleanor was so relaxed about it; he remembered going into his second year and being so nervous that he was unable to sleep the night before. He also remembered asking Fred to stay awake with him, and reluctantly, he had agreed.
He remembered sitting on his bed with nothing but the light from his wand illuminating the room as he desperately wrote a letter to Arabella, asking for her reassurance. And he remembered receiving her letter, tears staining the parchment. He imagined her lay awake, and alone, so consumed by anxiety that she cried herself to sleep that night.
George marvelled at how Bella had changed so much since then; she had grown so confident that she barely had a care in the world. He rarely ever saw her cry, and not because she was emotionless. Just because she was strong.
"Just wait until you have Professor Snape as a teacher." Fred teased, but Ellie just rolled her eyes and brushed off his statement. She understood the twins well enough to know that they, most often, would never mean what they said. Despite his goading, Fred knew that second year may have been a big deal for the girl, though to the three sixth years, it was but a mere water droplet within a vast ocean.

Four white flying horses galloped through the sky, their feathered wings swooping in the gushing winds. A small silver carriage was pulled behind, and everyone - including Arabella - watched in complete awe as they flew past. Nobody knew who was arriving, though it was all too magical that negative questions were easily forgotten by the entrancing beauty of the whole situation.
Many Hogwarts students had gathered in the corridors as they heard of the mysterious visitors, and Bella was reassured to know that nobody else had the slightest idea of what was going on - because she didn't either.
Moments after, an extremely large ship emerged from underneath the water surface. Red sails hung proudly along the masts, waves splashing violently as it crashed against the murky ocean like an eagle pouncing onto its prey. It was as if the ship was eating away at the sea, dominating the rough waves and leaving every student watching with their jaws unhinged.
Fred, George, Ron and Ginny had joined Arabella's side, the five of them not speaking a word; simply enjoying the beautiful sights in front of them, however confused they may have been or however weird it may have seemed.

The redheaded girl sat unwillingly at the Ravenclaw table, constantly exchanging longing looks with both Fred and George. They would avidly tease her about how obsessive she became when she enjoyed their company, and it was clear at moments like these, that she couldn't stand to be away from them for too long. It was true; she did adore the twins to the point where she would sell her soul for them, but this was because they were the only people that she had met in a long time that made her just that extra bit happier.
"Now that we're all settled, I'd like to make an announcement." Albus Dumbledore started, addressing the decreasing cacophony of chatter in the room. "This castle will not only be your home this year, but also home to some very special guests. You see, Hogwarts has been chosen--"
He was interrupted by the sound of the large Great Hall doors opening, and Argus Filch's tapping feet as he ran up to the Professor. He whispered something inaudible, before scowling and once again leaving the room with the arched door slamming behind him.
Dumbledore sighed, before continuing his speech. "So, Hogwarts has been chosen to host a legendary event - The Triwizard Tournament. For those of you who do not know, the Tournament brings together three schools to take part in a series of magical contests. From which, a single student from each school is selected to compete. Let me be clear; if chosen, you stand alone, and trust me when I say that these contests are not for the faint-hearted."
Arabella saw an excited twinkle in her best friends' brown eyes, and she instantly rolled her cerulean irises around. It surprised her how danger-hungry the two boys were, although it shouldn't have shocked her in the slightest. They were Gryffindors, after all.
Yet there was no way she would dream in entering the Triwizard Tournament, and she certainly wasn't going to allow Fred and George to risk their lives for something so unbelievably stupid. Dangerous challenges was not something that appealed to Bella, so she couldn't comprehend why it would be of any interest to the Weasley twins.
"We shall get into that later; for now, please join me in welcoming the lovely ladies from Beauxbatons Academy of Magic, and their Headmistress, Madame Maxine!" Announced Albus, and the doors creaked open almost instantaneously.
All heads turned towards the young women clad in blue silk. They walked elegantly down the isle, beginning to skip and dance. Their uniforms were plain, their hats a dull shade of teal, though their uttermost beauty still remained through the clouds of butterflies that flew around them.
One girl amongst all others stood out excessively, seemingly the youngest of the group. She was not dressed in the typical Beauxbatons uniform, and instead wore a pink leotard. She flipped down the isle, landing with such grace that undoubtedly impressed Arabella. She was mildly jealous of the girls' beautiful features, making her feel the slightest bit insecure.
Insecurity was a new thing to her; she had always been so confident within herself that she rarely ever had self-conscious days, and she began to mentally slap herself for becoming insecure on something so immature as a few pretty French girls.
Roars and cheers erupted from the male students, and a few females, who seemed to have enjoyed that just as much as each other. Dumbledore raised his hand to signal silence, and the noise reduced within seconds. "Now, please welcome our friends from the North - the proud sons of Durmstrang and their Headmaster, Igor Karkaroff!"
Emerging through the doors came several men dressed in the same brown uniform. They carried wooden staffs, banging them along the floor in a melodious rhythm. Sparks flew along the tiles with every impact, and they began to use them similarly to batons - spinning them and waving them around like something Bella had seen in a Muggle dance class once.
Suddenly, they ran along the isle, some doing backflips which made a couple of students unintentionally stand up in excitement. Igor and another man came in last, the both of them dressed similarly. Although, the Headmaster's uniform was white instead of brown, which made him more recognisable.
However, Bella still wasn't able to distinguish the other man's face until he passed her table, staring glumly in her direction. Viktor Krum. She thought. I had a feeling I would see him again.
I'm updating this book so much lmao I just love writing it :)
