Gala was quietly waiting in the locker hall for Troy to finished class. Where is he? She though as she watched the sea of students. Of cause Troy one and one of the last kids to walk down the hall, she skipped over to him and tapped his shoulder
"Hey Troy!" She greeted
"Oh hey" he replied "I got the most of the stuff for the project at home already, my mum picked some after work yesterday"
"That's great!" She smiled "just about the cat, you said he'll be locked in your room right?"
"Oh he will be, i don't know why you are scared of cats, they are lovely animals" Troy told her "if I need to get anything from my room I'll just make sure I'll close the door when I go in"
"What if we work in your room?" Gala questioned "and your cat can stay wonder the rest of the house, wouldn't they like that more?"
"My room only has a small desk in it" he confirmed "Louie tends to sleep in my room mostly"
"We could work on your bed?" she suggested, Troy just looked at her
"Louie normally sleeps on my bed and he is shedding, so if you don't want cat fur all over your new black skirt you might just want to work on it in my living room" he smiled
Gala froze "living room it is, let's go now"
The walk home was awkward, Gala kept trying to start conversations or going in about her day and Troy didn't have the heart to tell her she was basically rambling about something that isn't that big of a deal, like who cares who slept with who, Troy had is own issues to deal withstand the moment.
"So who was the person that you met with yesterday?" Gala asked "what was so special about them?"

Troy froze, he should of known she was going to ask this "oh, nothing really, I just needed to talk to them about, stuff"
"That we so unconvincing Troy just tell me, is a girl? Or girlfriend that doesn't go to Harwood High?" she smirked, he was unconvincing?! It was basically telling her what happened without giving the whole thing away
"No Gala, there is no girl, you for all people should know I'm single since you always seem to be be going through my phone" he said
Galas face went blank, Troy side smirked, they arrived at his house and went in. Gala waited on the couch crossed legged and her hands in her lap as Troy picked up the little brown cat who was meowing his head off and moved him into his bedroom and shut the door. Troy came back tying to dust off the cat fur from his shirt.
"You have fur all over you" Gala pointed out as she slowest stood up and walked over to him
"I told you he was shedding" Troy rolled his eyes, she took a deep breath and started violently brushing off the stubborn cat hair's on his shirt. He watched her face as she panted and stepped back in defeat, he chucked and Gala with disgust wiped her hands down on her top. "Cat fur will come off"
"I was just trying to help, you know what? Never mind let's just do our project"
All over the living room were scraps of cardboard and paper. Gala was building and glueing and Troy was carefully cutting out the information he printed earlier. The project was turning out great, Troy was glad it was someone keeping his mind off of yesterday and even Orion. He sighed as he finished cutting.
"Ay I think it's almost, Troy? Are you okay?" Gala questioned

"I'm sorry what?" He turned to her as he snapped back into reality "oh yea, I'm okay"
"Oh, I just wanted to tell you I think we are just about done here" she smiled "just need to add some thing I have back at my house and we can submit it on Monday"
"Are you fine getting home alright?" He asked
"Yea I live the next street over" she replied "I have to ask you something, would you like to um, maybe go out somewhere maybe on Friday?"
"I'll see if I'm free that day, I'll text you when I get answer" he confirmed
Gala blushed "great!, I should be getting home now, see you are school tomorrow Troy" he helps he carry the project to the door and closes it after she walks out. He sighed in relief and walked to his room to let Louie out.

Rekindle
My Newest, and at the same time, Oldest novel. This is a Rewrite of my very first novel that I begun when I was just starting out. It follows the story of Mark Floyd, a broken man who once tried to do what he thought was right... only to be stabbed in the back and thrown away. Now, pulled into a conflict that spans time and space, Mark has a choice to make; Stand up once more, even if it means facing an unknowable future, or let the Embers of his heart die and sink back into darkness. ----------------------------------- “For gold is tried in the fire, and acceptable men in the furnace of adversity”. Once part of a Special Ops team in the US Army, Mark Floyd thought he had seen the worst that Humanity had to offer. That was until his final mission, one that would leave him a broken and shattered man, betrayed by the Country he served, and abandoned by society as a whole. His dreams filled with nightmares of the ones he failed to protect, mind and memories clouded by booze and more, Mark finds himself stumbling through life without purpose or desire. Life isn't done with Mark yet, however. For as long as even a single ember remains in a persons heart, here is still yet hope for the flames of Passion and Hope to be Rekindled. When the dying embers of Mark's heart catches the eyes of a Being far beyond his understanding, Mark finds himself thrown into a situation not even his years of training could prepare him for. Will this new chance be Mark's hope at both Redemption and Recompense? Or will it simply be the final nail in the coffin for a man already dead to the World? [This is a rework of my very first story. The general story will remain the same, however a few details have been tweaked, the chapters have be Edited better and some chapters have been broken down into smaller chunks for better flow and consistency. The biggest change will be to the System itself; It will be a lot less "Game-like", meaning no stats, levels or similar aspect, though skills will still be present in the form of "Programs". Instead, It'll focus more on the Sigil's nature as super-computers and how they change the world around them. This should make for a much more "natural" and less info-dumpy system.
