saw with a smirk plastered over my lips, as the face of the blonde slowly fell after I turned him down in a fluke.
"Make it Blue Arrow with a little whiskey for all of us" the brunette with the deep voice, who was called Jonathan as Jessica told me the last time, said hence making me avert my glaring attention from the blond head and I scribbled it out with a stiff nod.
From the corner of my eye, I could feel a pair of familiar hazel eyes staring at me. Stiff as a pole, not moving a limb.
I've seen him at school.
"You'll be served in five" but I payed least of my attention to them and after reciting those words with the highest degree of politeless, I skew away.
Making my way through the sticky crowd, I placed the ripped paper from my note pad, over the bartender's desk.
"Ouch! That was harsh, go easy on him. Anders isn't bad except the fact that he's a bit flirty" Mike said taking the paper, as his hand rubbed the back of his neck.
Wow! I don't entertain such j*rks.
My right eyebrow arched on its own as I folded my arms over my chest, without uttering a single word simply shooting daggers at him.
"Fine. Forget what I just said"

The bright lights of the red board shone before my eyes as I slipped out from the leather interior of my yellow bug in the parking lot of .
With an exciting buzz of energy through my body, I allowed the hoodie of my jacket to cover my face.
A light smirk appeared on my lips as I strolled over and pushed open the glass doors of the bar and smelled the unique smell of the place, charging me up in all ways.

Hooting and screams littered the place as I squeezed my way through the thick crowd and finally made it to the ring in the centre.
"We've got our next opponents" the voice said as I bent and went in through the ropes.
My opponent this time was a little less muscled up, compared to the ones I've been facing off in a while. His hands folded up, were held up to his face as he hopped around the ring eyeing me.
A smirk lifted the corner of my lips as soon as the bell rang and I stood guarded to any of his moves.
In a blink, he launched his fist to my face which I saw coming and grabbed it before it could come near me. Twisting it behind his back in a cruel way, I gave him a push. But surprisingly he dodged me at that and stepped back, chuckle rumbling through his chest.
A couple of punches and kicks, I kept landing on him here and there to keep him conscious through the fight and for me to go through the phase of cool down.
However, it lasted shortly when suddenly he launched his knee to my gut taking me off guard. An immense amount of pain rolled through my body, but I hissed it away.
He launched his fist towards me in a swift move again, but I took hold of the wrist and twisted his arm in an arm wrench.
I then climbed up the corner turnbuckles and walked on the top rope, before jumping down and striked the back of his neck with full force.
A painful growl boomed through the place, when finally the body thudded onto the floor of the ring and the bell was rung.
Blood gushed through my veins with anticipation and sweat soaked my thin clothing as I wore a victory smile before stepping off.

I heard my name being chanted and cheers rising from the crowd as I walked through and made my way towards the desk.
"$400. I'll have to bet more on you from now on. You're easy money" the bartender said as I grabbed the stalk and shoved it in my jackets pocket, before walking towards the exit.
"Hey Blake. What a coincidence!"
"Likewise"
Walking past the figures, I finally made it through the tinted glass doors.

An Unwavering Craftsman
Given the hereditary nature of classes, everyone expects Damien—the child of two high-tiered adventurers—to be granted a high-tier combat class of his own. Expectations are betrayed, however, when Damien finds himself instead saddled with a crafting class of the lowest possible tier: [Neophyte Tailor]. Left practically crippled compared to those with better classes, Damien wants to avoid becoming a pawn in the machinations of the nobility, desiring only to grind his level in peace while wondering why the usual rules of inheritance were broken. Was it his desire to excel by his own effort, rather than an unearned blessing from a god? Did the Five take offence at his opinions on the unfairness of hereditary classes? Or maybe it was something to do with the alien voice that intruded on his ceremony? A voice that offers great power, and freedom from the tyranny of the Five, but that never names its price. This story is litRPG-lite. While the class someone possesses controls most of their lives, people don't get dinged at for every level they gain, nor can they see their status without undergoing a special ritual. The MC has no romantic interest. Crafting is merely a way to game the system, and doesn't feature heavily in the story, aside from a few descriptions on how they're carrying out the system abuse. There is, on one unfortunate occasion, maths. The pace is quick. This was a participant in the Spring 2022 writathon. (i.e. it was posted as-written at high speed. I may give it another editing pass in the future.)
