Ella's POV

I manage to wake up quite early... Emphasis on management.

We had another meeting with a different client before we will meet up with Mr. Henry to finish with the meeting we didn't close up yesterday.

After the meeting with the client, we then proceeded to close up the deal with Mr. Henry.

"Goodbye sir," I said

" Goodbye for now Ms. Laurence. See you later at the evening party tonight. John spoke into my ear when we hug goodbye.

After finally closing the deal, Mr. Henry proposed a party in the evening to celebrate the closure before we catch the plane back the next day.

After the goodbyes, I was back into my hotel room. I check through the bag I came with and there is nothing good enough for a party. I don't have a dress for the party.

These are some of the reasons I always say I don't know how to pack and I need at least a two-day notice before the traveling day to be able to pack all the necessary things I will need. Lena has always done the packing for me but unfortunately, she came back late from her date and I didn't want to bother her, so now here I am with no dress for the party which is just about four hours away.

What do I do?

I have two options

My Grey, my boss, or John, the flirt. I either ask Mr. Grey or John to take me out so I can get a dress. I don't know this place so I will have to make a decision here and now.

Weighing the two options: in as much I will be happy to go with Mr. Grey, I also know that, it is next to impossible. Something that can't happen, you know that right? We are indeed getting close that's if you even consider him beginning to be polite and nice to me as being close. So Mr. Grey is a no go area

On the other day, with John, I think he will be glad to help. I did notice the way he was looking at me throughout the meeting but I didn't pay him any attention because I didn't want to lead him on or give him false hopes. But now he seems to be the best option.

So John is it then.

He gave me his business card after the meeting. I didn't know it will come in handy so I can't even remember where I had kept the card. I search for it without any result so I put the content of my purse down on the bed in such for the now useful card. If it is not in the purse then...

Found it. It was stumbled at the corner of my purse. Thank goodness. I dial the number waiting for him to answer.

"Hi! John Henry on the line" he spoke professionally after Picking up on the second rang.

"Hi! Ella Laurence here, I -"

"Ella, I'm glad you finally called. I was waiting for your call since along." John interrupted me before I could complete my statement.

"I was wondering whether you could drive me to get a dress for the party in the evening," I ask formally and nervous.

" of course Ella, I will be glad. It's an honor to get such beauty out for shopping. I will pick you in 15 minutes. Will that be okay with you? His voice tainted with lust.

"Okay with me. Thanks, John." I said

"My pleasure Ella. See you soon." He replied and I hang the phone.

John got here on time, we went shopping, I bought the dress and other extra things. The dress was a knee-length red dress which John pick for me. Left on me, it would have been a hard choice to pick out one dress from the bunch of beautiful dresses that filled the shop.

John insisted on paying but I didn't allow him. I paid for it. He also suggested we go for ice cream before heading back but I decline politely telling him about how I needed enough time to dress up for the party. He drops me at the hotel.

"Thank you, John," I said

"Anytime. Should I pick you up later for the party?" He asks

"No need, I will just come with my boss." Apart from the fact that John is a player, I think he is nice looking but I am not really for that. Even if I am not with him.

I Slip inside the elevator and press my floor mumble as I waited.

"Where are you coming from? A hear a stern familiar voice right in front of my hotel door.

" I went out to get a dress for the event this evening," I said nervously. His eyes have turned to forest green. It does when he is annoyed and they terrify me.

"Alone. You are new here what if anything happens to you." He snapped making me flinch

" Thanks for your concern sir, thankfully nothing happen because I didn't go alone. I went with John. " I clarified

"What! He exclaimed, his voice leveled with anger and surprise.
