《Burn Archer》Ten- Friends?

My parents ran.
The dark forest growled at them, ripping bits of their skins off as they ran. Oh no. My mother's face had wet smudges on her face as she turned around in fright. Then it was my dad's turn. He gripped her hand tighter and pulled her deeper into the darkness.
I screamed for them, to help them. Nothing came out. No, please I wanted to help them. Let me. A strange darkness chased after them.
Suddenly a tree fell on top of my mother. No, no this couldn't be happening. More sobs escaped her helpless mouth and screams echoed in my ear.
Dad pulled on the branch with all his might, his teeth punching into his lips, making it bleed. No. He couldn't do it alone. One more person was needed.
I couldn't move my hands without feeling the restriction of the straps. I had to help them! Please let me! Suddenly, a sinkhole appeared beneath them.
It caught up to them. I could've helped them.
I tried shutting the helpless scream out but it was no help as they fell deep into the hole.
"NO" I roared. I screamed as I lifted my hands off the mattress to tug on my hair roughly. My ears were steamy hot and tears were smudged on my face. I stared down at the sheets which were twisted around my limbs, probably because I was thrashing in my sleep.
I used my trembling hands to force myself out of the bed. Where the hell was I? The room had marble floors and strokes of silver on the ceiling. All I wanted to do right now was hug my parents and make sure that they were okay.
Wait. I was on another planet with actual aliens surrounding me. The hug was going to have to wait for another day. Hopefully.
My organs relaxed at the touch of the cold shower. I wore a cute outfit, that the felvs had probably put out for me, with the converse shoes from the other night. I stared outside my room's window. I took a deep breath and cherished the stunning view of mountains and rivers.

Suddenly I heard a knock on my door interrupting my thoughts.
"Coming!"
I pulled the doors slightly open and peeked out. It was Zane.
"Hey Burn!" he exclaimed leaning on the door frame. I couldn't help but stare at his blonde hair which was the perfect mix of messy and cute.
I smiled in response as I opened the door wide.
"My friends and I are going to be having some fun today. So... I was wondering if you wanted to come along so you could have a bit of a tour-"
A felv appeared. "Princess Ivory has sent me to give you this."
I held out my hand and she placed a cardboard box in it.
"Thanks-" I began saying but she has already disappeared. I unfolded the lid, and inside, a large touch screen phone lay there.
"Oh, my goodness! This is my phone from back home, I thought I left it there" I said as I saw a note inside.
We found it in your pocket ;)
I laughed. "Oh yea it was in there the whole time."
"Something's written on the back of it."
I flipped the note over and it said that Ivory had already connected it to the mobile network on this planet and that I had WiFi on it now. Other planets must be adapting to earth's highlights, Ithought.
"Oh she's the absolute best!" I exclaimed.
"Here add my phone number in."
"Thanks, you can do it," I said nonchalantly as I handing the phone to him.
"Anyways so back to where we were before we were interrupted," he said bluntly. "You gonna come with?"
I didn't have anything to do the whole day, but it seemed like a lot of work to meet new people and smile all the time. Antisocial.
I surprised myself by nodding and closing the door behind me.

Zane kept twisting his head to me, his smile stretching to his his eyes as he explained. "We'll be doing a few things today," he said. "And then you're in for a party"
I stopped. "Wait how about the postponed meeting?"
"Yeah we're gonna' go there after the party," he answered politely, leading me out of the palace grounds.
I sighted a group of Mayas, talking amongst themselves in small groups, while waiting. Great, I was going to have to meet new people.
"Hey guys!" I heard Zane shout to the group, all their angelic faces turning towards us. "I brought her, lets get going now."
Suddenly in the crowd, I saw two familiar faces. Ash and Eleanor.
"Oh great" I murmured under my breath.
I felt insecure walking into a group of angels, being the only human there. A cute guy with a round face, tan skin and green eyes stepped forward and held out his hand.
"Hunter," he said with an enormous smile.
"Burn," I announced as I shook hands with him.
Zane pointed to each one of his friends. "Alright, this is Hunter, Gaby, Celia, Jackson, Ed, Stephanie, Alex, Jace, Ella and Ash."
"Just getting it out of the way, we're all 15, just like you," he added as if I would have been scared to hang around a bunch of people older than me.
I smiled. "Nice to meet all of you, I'm Burn."
After introductions were over, they separated into two groups and climbed into trucks, leaving me standing outside. Which truck was I supposed to get into?
Zane stuck his head out of the jeep. "Come, you can sit here with me...this car is gonna have way more fun than them."
"No, she's coming with us because we wanna get to know Burn better too."
I twisted around to see who it was, and a blonde girl was smiling at me from the other jeep.
"I'm Gaby!" she yelled from the car.
Zane rolled his eyes with a laugh as I ran over to Gaby's jeep.
I sat in the back seat and I turned to look at who was sitting beside me and to my disappointment, it was Ash.
Gaby was sitting in the passenger seat while Hunter was going to drive. My eyes wandered past Ash and sighted Eleanor sitting there giving me a wicked smile.
Gaby turned towards me as the jeep started moving. "So, in this planet, we're allowed to start driving from the age of 14".
"That's really cool."
After an hour of driving while everybody asked me questions except Ash and Eleanor, Ella suddenly jerked up. "Hey, can you please roll down the window, you really stick and its spreading in the car".
Was she serious right now? Rude. Game on.
Everyone's silence pierced through the air. "Why roll down the window, when you can smell this?"
I jerked my arm into the air, leaned over Ash and poked my armpit in her face. I applied perfume before I came. She's such a liar.
"Ew, gross, what's your problem?" she complained pushing me away.
The laughter of the others echoed in the jeep and Gaby stretched her hand out to give me a pat on the back. I think that I dealt with that quite well, I thought smiling to myself.
I laid my head back on the seat as my eyelids threatened to shut. Suddenly I felt myself drifting to sleep again as my head hit a comforting object.
Ash's shoulder. Oh shoot?

Reality Grants One Chance
Some people are lucky, some aren't, some - have terrible luck. Our "hero" is of the latter kind. During young age he got into an accident, which allowed him to learn the fact that he belongs to a rare group of people.. People diagnosed with lung cancer, which he, however survived. Can't say he's lucky, as his life went downhill from that point... Our story happens years later, when his fate decides to make a loop and throw him in the same kind of accident. He gets hit by a truck. Surviving the crash, suffering just a few scratches, he is ultimately "lucky" to find himself out of the hospital in no time.. however every bit of good luck always brings him terrible luck afterwards. This time pushing him maybe a bit too far.. How far? Making him vanish without a trace and find himself in the middle of an unknown forrest. Doesn't sound bad? He can consider himself lucky? Just wait and see...It can always get worse.. always.. .... Congratulations, you've made it through the intro and into the author note! If you by any chance missed the tags and didn't read the warning, please do that now. I really recommend you to. Before you jump to reading, and unintentionally scar yourself, do mind that the story is about a dark, unforgiving world, a world in which you have more opportunities to die a horrible death, than take a piss. Hero doesn't have great luck, he has dumb persistance, he doesn't go through any trial with a breeze, he pays the price of blood, flesh and tears to live..and will be paying for every mistake.. No one outright explains anything to him, just as us for the most part - he is not sure what the hell is going on.. Some real survival tactics are used as a base of the descriptions, they are as important to the world and character as any other element.. Mind that the story starts really slow, but as the stone starts rolling downhill - the pace gets faster.. Every tag for this novel has a reason to be there, so if you don't see the particular element there, don't panic.. it's either well camoufalged, subtle or simply not encountered as of yet. Big thanks to Hobbo, Enyhrye and Hveth! ...not only pointing that the description could be better, but providing invaluable input.. and being patient enough to give fleshed out advice.
