in a knot as she sat at Regulus' kitchen table, writing with shakey hands a letter to Sirius and the others. Regulus insisted she need not, as they would make it out alive and get to tell the story themselves, though Flo wanted to take the precaution anyways.
She wrote absolutely everything down - Regulus initially telling her about the locket, their long nights spent in the library, the reason for their hostile actions during the Quidditch game last year, Slughorn being the key to finding everything out, explaining the Horcrux, and finally, Flo explained how she accidentally fell in love with Regulus along the way.
By the time she had signed Love, Florence Crown, her cheeks were wet with tears. She hoped she would live past tonight and be able to fully tell the story herself, though there were no guarantees. Sacrifices were normal during a war - if sacrificing her life so her friends and family would live, Flo would do it in a heart beat.
Which is why she agreed with Regulus' plan - to do it tonight.
The two dressed in all black. Kreacher had joined, making the duo a trio. He would be joining Regulus to the cave, making sure all goes well and Regulus returns home safe. Flo, on the other hand, would be heading to Diagon Alley in an attempt to stop the attack - or, at least, fend it off for as long as she can.
"Everything will be alright, my love." Regulus promises, placing a kiss on Flo's forehead.
Flo wraps him in a tight embrace, wishing she would never have to let go. Wishing that the two wizards were Muggles, and did not have to worry about risking their lives to defeat You Know Who.
"We will meet back here the second we are finished. Do you have your fake locket and letter?" Flo asks. Regulus smiles, pulling it out of his pocket. He opens the locket, then the letter, revealing both their initials at the bottom.

Regulus Arcturus Black and Florence Harriet Crown.
"Do you have the letter you will be dropping off to the others? To my brother?" Regulus questions, as Flo pops it out of her jacket pocket.
"After tonight, we will all be one, big family." Florence says, reaching up to touch her hand to the side of Regulus' face.
"Everything will be as it should." Regulus insists, with his beautiful, bright smile shining on his face.
The time on the clock reads 7 p.m. The attack on Diagon Alley will be taking place just before 8, which means the two must depart now, or else their plan would fail.
"Meet back here right after." Regulus repeats what Flo had said just moments before, though his voice now shakey.
"I will see you in a few hours, Reg." Flo says, before crashing her lips onto his and kissing him as if they will never reunite after tonights events.
"If I dont make it-"
"Don't say that." Flo cuts off Regulus.
"Please, Florence. If I don't make it, I want you to know that I've regretted none of this. You... every day for the past seven years I've dreamed of having you - of being with you and loving you. I wish I'd have done it sooner, but I cannot change the past. I can, however, create my own future. With you. And now here you are.." Regulus' voices fades.
"Here we are." Flo smiles, placing a short, sweet kiss to his lips.
Everything then began to happen too fast.
Regulus, after several more goodbye kisses and tears, left with Kreacher, getting a head start to the cave. Florence waits until 7:30 to apparate just outside of Sirius and James' apartment. Making sure she still has the letter, she turns from her spot in the kitchen, and a second later, appears right outside Sirius and James' door.

"Shit." Flo whispers, realizing she hadn't turned the lights off in Regulus' apartment. Some habits never die.
She pushed the thought aside as she heard Sirius' laughter boom through the door and echo in the hallway. Her heart nearly broke as everyone else joined it.
Doing her best not to be seen, Flo peaked her head in front of the small window, taking in the sight of her small Gryffindor gang, huddled around the fireplace, laughing with each other and drinking far too much fire whiskey. She laughed softly to herself, knowing that soon enough, she and Regulus would be joining them.
Florence moved away from the window, placing her letter in Sirius and James' small mailbox, before apparating to Diagon Alley. She puts her hood up and positions herself just in front of Quality Quidditch Supplies, glancing around for any signs of Death Eaters.
Florence touched her ring, which was still giving off a warm sensation into her finger. Regulus was still safe.
Diagon Alley was quiet, Florence almost considered grabbing a small cup of ice cream, but her plans came to a halt. There were several screams near Gringott's, which where then followed by explosions.
Flo whipped out her want before running as fast as she could towards Gringott's, already shooting curse's towards Death Eater's that she recognized.
Her ring was still warm.
"Stupefy!" Flo shouts, sending a Death Eater several feet backwards and landing face down on the ground.
Auror's then began to apparate to Diagon Alley, making Flo's job just slightly easier.
Her wand moved without her brain even having to think - all she could think about was surviving this attack and then making it back to Regulus.
Flo then spotted something - spotted him - beside Gringott's, acting as if nothing was happening. He was watching his Death Eaters fight and get captured and killed, and he did nothing about it.
"Bombarda Maxima!" Flo shouts, aiming the curse right at You Know Who.
He notices her then, and was quick enough to deflect her curse and send it towards a large group of Auror's, sending them flying through the air. With one simple flick of his wand, Florence was now dangling from an invisible rope in the air.
"You can try to kill me," You Know Who says, walking closer to Flo, who is beginning to turn blue in the face. "But you will never win."
"I know your secret," Flo chokes out, clutching at her neck in an attempt to rid of the invisible rope, though it is no use. "You're - a - coward." Flo says through coughs and gasps for air.
You Know Who simply laughs, before raising his wand yet again.
Florence knows what is coming, though instead of thinking of her inevitable death, she thinks of the others.
After tonight, they will all be safe. James and Lily will get to have children and grow old together. Sirius and Remus will get to have their happily ever after. Peter will be surrounded by so much love... and hopefully open that book shop he mentioned to Flo once or twice. Mary, Marlene and Dorcas will get to live happy and safe lives. Flo's parents will be safe. Everyone will be safe.
Regulus will be safe.
Kreacher will get him out of the cave. Flo and Regulus' love was cut short, though she wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. Florence smiled and choked out a sob at the thought of Regulus and Sirius reuniting. Her family will be happy and alive, and that was all that mattered.
As the bright green killing curse came her way, all Flo could think about was the fact that her ring was still warm, and Regulus would live to see tomorrow.

Earth was overtaken by the Calumnia ten years ago and if it weren't for the alien Occisio race who saved the remnants of humanity, Indi's race would have gone extinct. Wild Steam
Get on a train. Head east. Get on a ship. Travel further east, in style. See some wonders of the world. Find what was lost. Find where home is. How hard is any of that?Well, for Jake Ranger, pretty damned hard. The world being a wild, crazy mess from a global altering event called the Shattering doesn’t help much. Nor does being a famous folk hero. That last one really sucks, because people always run up to famous heroes and beg them for help with all their problems. Then there are the actual outlaws and monsters. They don’t help much either. Mostly they just get in the way and make everything way worse. And in a world that is so screwed up decades after the Shattering, there is a lot of variety to both outlaw and monster. Then there are the more civilized, (read: sane), non-human folk, and good old humans as well. They all get along just spectacularly. Totally best friends, on every level, for life. Of course getting to the east coast is only half the battle. Once there, he must contend with the so-called “civilized people.” Then there’s the ship ride; pirates and sea monsters are a thing too, after all. Should have read the brochure. But when the chips are down, the bad guys are winning and the wild winds of chaos are blowing, it helps to have a fighter on your side. Even if he is a little wild. After all, that’s not really a problem. That’s what beautiful women and lots of gold is for. Proper motivation is always key to success. Welcome to a Steampunk, Wild West, Victorian era, Lovecraftian infested, fantasy, shoot ‘em up world. Complete with a slow build harem of badass beautiful women, crazy adventures, and fun, monstrous villains. Welcome to the world of Wild Steam. Do enjoy your stay.
