I look over at Alex who just walked into the hotel room "hey princess" I say
"Hey babe" she responds
"What's up" I ask
"Just worried about Megan and Dan's date, how are you" she asks
"I'm okay, but if you're worried then I'm worried" I say "why don't we go to the pool or something" I ask
"That sounds like a good idea since we won't have time tomorrow" she answers
"Why" I ask
"Because we have to leave tomorrow" she responds
"But we don't have to leave until late" I respond back
"Still, we'll have to pack our stuff and all of that" she answers
"This is true" I say "But still, let's go to the pool" I continue
"Okay" she responds and goes into the bathroom to get changed. When she comes out, she has a strapless bikini top on that is red and black, with bikini bottoms on that are mainly black with red lace over it. She has her hair in a ponytail, probably because she doesn't want it to get wet and pineapple sandals that have blue around the pineapples. The straps are pink. she has no make-up on, which makes her look better
"You look amazing" I say and she looks up at me. She was looking at a book on her bed. She looks shocked
"Thanks" she says and looks back at her book "You look great also" she says and looks back down at the book on her bed. She actually looked shocked when I said that like she didn't believe me
"What's wrong" I ask her once she looks down at her book again
"What? Oh, nothing sorry. I just don't see myself like that" She responds and picks up the book off the bed "Did you know Jessica and Jermey are a thing, or, will be?" She asks

"What do you mean?" I question as she drops to the bed and once again looks down at the book
"I don't know if you noticed they liked us, as in Jessica liked you and Jermey liked me. When I forgot something downstairs I heard them talking about how we're cute and how they should leave us alone. They're the only two not dating, it will happen" She responds and looks at me for a second "I honestly hope it does" She then says as she looks back down at her book
"Babe" I start
"Not even bull shitting I'm fine. I really want to forget about it" She says
"So you want to go to the pool?" I ask
"Let's go" She responds and stands up throwing the book on the bed and walking out of the room first. I laugh a little before shutting off the light and following behind her

However, as the countdown hits 0, the start-hub of his dive rig (what would typically greet a forced ejection from a game) was no where to be seen and instead darkness greets him as he fades into unconsciousness. Awakening to unfamiliar sights in an unfamiliar body, one which turns out to be a lot more familiar than he first thought, now he must figure out where, how, why and what to do with the new world he finds himself in. Author note: I don't own the cover, just something found through a google search. This is also my first story and the MC will basically be unimaginably OP yet never really utilising his full power. He just wants to find somewhere to fit in to the new world he finds himself in and despite both his nature as a loner and his interests he will find himself forming connections with the denizens of this new realm. That what is found in wish fullfillment stories, not here. "Monsters? Ah, yes. There are some weird rabbits on the fields, I heard that the are some big ones on the deserts and other low populated areas... But they don't come close to human settlements." A scientist said on the tv show. "A ship has sunk due to giant monster attack." News information. "Price of goods is to increase since shipping over oceans has become more dangerous." The main character decided to grind skills in safety and stay away from all those dangerous beasts. It will be a story of slow descent into chaos and a rule of might.

Thomas doesn't remember what his last name was, before it became Bluebrim, a name belonging to another universe. He's also pretty sure he wasn't this stupid before he arrived, but what can you do, when a day that was supposed to begin with an interview to set your life back on track instead begins in a universe that makes no sense, with rules you can't begin to understand? Maybe he should have paid more attention to the avatar creation screen ... Content warnings: All of them. Seriously. Expect lots of blue screens to begin with. Don't expect a power-leveling fantasy, in which the lone hero beats up all the bad guys, and gets a harem of women. There's just a guy who treats character creation like an annoying series of pop-up advertisements, and the story is basically the ramifications of that. The main character has to learn to take the world he's found himself in seriously, and he'll learn the way most of us do, by doing it wrong first. This is, insofar as it is successful, a dark comedy fantasy. Also a bit of horror, particularly but not exclusively body horror. I'm pretty sure I've earned those Content Warning tags, so, uh, yeah. This is practice. Hopefully things improve as I go, and figure out what I'm doing wrong, but I make no guarantees things will ever get better. I've already made mistakes, I'll make more, and I'm happy to notice them each time I make them. You don't improve unless you fail. (On the plus side, it probably won't get much worse.) Feel free to point out anything you think I'm doing wrong; I don't promise to change anything, particularly if it's a matter of taste, but I am looking to improve, and figuring out what I need to improve goes faster if I don't have to try to figure it out myself. I've updated the earlier chapters for formatting, in the hope that it would make everything easier to read on mobile devices. Hopefully things work slightly better now, but please let me know if there are any issues anywhere.
