《Fate》Chapter 32

Jungkook pov
The snow covered the hills while we all gathered at the ski station. Snow fell softly as we stood near the window, looking outside.
"It's so cold here!" Jin hyung rubbed his palms.
"You are right. Why we came here, though? " Suga hyung asked, covering his ears.
"Of course for ski at the ski station."I replied. What happened to hyung today?
"Let's go home before we get cold." Jimin hyung said with chattering teeth.
Why are they so cold?
"Hyungs, you are wearing layers of jackets and woolen clothes. How come you can be still cold?" I asked, annoyingly. It was the first time we get to ski on our tour. I don't know the place, though.
"Are you mad? Look at the snowfall!" Taehyung exclaimed.
"Okay, fine! I don't want to go either. Let's go home." I turned, ready to leave.
"Jungkookie! Can you bring me ice cream?" Taehyung exclaimed from behind.
Wasn't he cold before?
I turned, confusedly.
"What? Why that look?" He asked.
"You were cold before!" I stated.
"Cold? ME? It's hot! Aren't you as well?" He uttered.
Wait-Why I'm feeling hot suddenly?
I looked around.
We were at the ski station before, how come we are on the beach????
Hyungs were already in the water, as the sun was right on the top.
I squinted my eyes as warm sun rays were directly on my face. I reflexively covered my face with the blanket.
"Hyung! Close the curtains, please!" I semi-yelled, thinking someone must be here.
....
....
Is no one here?
...
I peeked through the blanket. It took little time to adjust to the sunlight, but what I wasn't expecting was...no one?
I sat up. The sun's rays were still coming from the slit of curtains.
I don't feel weak.
I looked at the wall clock that showed 10:54??? It's going to be noon soon.
Ironically, there was no sound from outside, and I found no one here. Typically, I would have been woken up by someone ?!
They may be in the practice room?
Though I got that weird feeling inside me for split seconds, I was able to shook it off. I stretched and got up. I remembered Tae hyung told me that Jimin hyung was going to stay at night. The couch had a neatly folded blanket and pillow.
I don't know, but I was feeling really well and...happy? I chuckled, remembering how strict Jin hyung had been for my medicine and food.
I am lucky to have all of them.
Let's surprise them!
I quickly get freshened up and made my way outside.
Why it's awfully quiet.?
I went through the hallway and entered the hall. The lights were obviously off, besides the curtains as well. The only source of light was the kitchen window and balcony's slide door from which sunlight was coming.

"Hyungs!" I yelled. If they would have been up, they must come.
No response...
What if they didn't hear because of music?
I ran upstairs.
Y/N POV
Who is playing music early morning?
Wait, this is the same as my ring tone?
Is this?
My eyes instinctively opened, and I picked up my phone.
" Yeoboseyo! "
"You were still sleeping?!" the other side said.
Eunji? Wasn't she-
Where is she??
My eyes widen at the empty spot beside me.
"Before you ask, it's 10:15 p.m. and I am out of the dorm. I had some paperwork regarding some taxes and had to inform my store owner. Also, the boys are gone for recording at big hit." She informed.
"Why you didn't wake me up?" I asked.
"You were sleeping like you haven't in centuries," she said, giggling.
Only if you know my all-nighter...
"Ah! Okay okay, Wae you called?"
"I was just asking if there is something you want? Like anything from Gwangjang market? I was in the area, so I thought to call you. I don't think you will have enough time after your exams..."
Ah! I really wanted to visit the market.
"Um, there is nothing!" I said.
"You sure?"
"Hundred percent!"
I hung up the call after chatting a bit more. She was with some big hit staff member, just in case.
After taking a quick shower, I got dressed in a yellow floral dress with a white jacket.I made my way out, and as expected, the dorm seemed quiet.
Wait, does everyone include Jungkook too?
I turned to his door and knocked three times. "Jungkook, are you inside?" I asked.
Getting no repose from inside, I quietly twisted the knob.
You are just checking Y/N, not robbing.
I calmed down my overthinking mind and peeked inside. The bedsheets were done neatly, and no one was there.
So he went too?
Shrugging, I made my way to the kitchen. I had got the habit of seeing boys roaming here and there and hearing music in the dorm every day. But it was exceptionally quiet.
They are at their work stupid, the job they do.
"Let's see what we have here," I mumbled, and opened the fridge.
"Um, I better eat cereal." I awkwardly smiled over the sight of seafood and packed meat. Taking the bottle of milk, I placed it on the table. Thankfully, I knew where cereal was, so it wasn't the problem.
I was about to pour milk in my cereal filled bowl when,
"Y/N?" I flinched because of the sudden voice and the milk bottle dropped on the floor. I turned to see Jungkook, who rushed towards me. "Jungkook?"
"Oh, I am sorry!" He exclaimed as crouched down to pick up the bottle.

He? Here?
"Uh- one minute." I quickly brought the wet wipes from the counter and crouched down as well. I started cleaning the milk as I apologized, " I-I am sorry!"
"I-It's my fault. Let me help too." He said, taking the wipes as well.
"I thought no one was there, so I got scared..." I said, awkwardly wiping the floor.
"I wasn't expecting either," He said, as I looked over him. At the same time, he looked up as well. I gulped down at our proximity as I felt my heartbeat increase.
What is happening?
I stared into his eyes as he was doing the same. I felt blood rushing to my cheeks with this sudden change in atmosphere.
Don't know why but the sudden urge to stop time grew inside me when;
"What you guys doing?" A sudden voice echoed, making me flinch for the second time.
Jungkook abruptly stood up as well, hurting his head with the table's corner in the process.
"Ow!"
"Uh- You okay?" I asked, standing up beside him. He nodded in response as we both looked in front of us, to the person who stood there with an emotionless face.
"Uh, Hyung?! Weren't you out?" Jungkook asked, still having a hand over his forehead. I was getting this embarrassing feeling inside me, so I didn't make eye contact.
"I was in my studio. What you guys were doing, though?" He asked, " Y/N?" I looked up at my name and smiled awkwardly.
"Um, I accidentally spilled the milk on the floor, so Jungkook And I were cleaning it."
"Oh...Milk?" He asked, confused.
"For cereal."
"At the time of lunch?! Cereal?" He remarked. I just stood there, scratching the back of my neck.
"I have already ordered some takeout for us. I was out to inform that." He said, nodding a little. [ imagine his cute nod T^T]
"Okay, since you both are up! Take the delivery and clean up the mess as well. I have a song to finish." he said as he disappeared into the hallway again.
Jungkook pov
I checked every room upstairs but didn't find anyone.
Are they out?
They should have messaged-
I am so!-
I had't checked my phone.
I was on my way back to the room when I halted in my way. I stood in the hall's doorframe as the girl has her back facing me as her hands were in movement. [reference to the picture in chap 15]
Y/N?
She is here?
I didn't check her room.
"Y/N?" Just as I said, she flinched as the bottle of milk dropped from her hands.
Oh no!
I rushed towards her as she exclaimed, "Jungkook?" Her voice seemed confused.
"Oh, I am sorry!" I said, crouching down to pick up the bottle. The milk flowed from the bottle turbulently, forming a small puddle.
"Uh- one minute." She said as she went behind the counter. I kept the bottle near the leg of the chair, as Y/N was back with wet wipes. With swift moves, she started cleaning the milk as, " I-I am sorry!"
Why she is apologizing?
I was the one who scared her.
Guilt started gripping me, as I felt sorry. "I-It's my fault. Let me help too." I took the wipes from the box and started helping her.
"I thought no one was there, so I got scared..." she spoke up.
"I wasn't expecting either." I glanced at her as I found her staring at me back. Her almond eyes were looking straight into my eyes, while I realized how close we were. She was mere inches away from me. This was the very first I saw her face this close.
She didn't seem to budge, neither me.
I felt a weird sensation inside me.
Wait- Am I getting butterflies?
"What you guys doing?" An icy voice made me break eye contact as I immediately stood up.
Suga hyung?
"Ow!!!" This hurts, please! I hit my head on the table's corner.
"Uh- you okay?" Y/N asked as I nodded in response.
I checked every room?! What he is doing here?
"Uh, Hyung?! Weren't you out?" I asked.
"I was in my studio. What you guys were doing, though?" He asked, " Y/N?" He asked Y/N, as I turned my gaze over her.
"Um, I accidentally spilled the milk on the floor, so Jungkook And I were cleaning it."
Right!
"Oh...Milk?" He questioned.
"For cereal."
"At the time of lunch?! Cereal?" He blurted out.
I don't know why hyung seems some kind of inspecting officer right now.
"I have already ordered some takeout for us. I was out to inform that." He is so kind.
"Okay! since you both are up! Take the delivery and clean up the mess as well. I have a song to finish." he said, turning on his heels to go back.
The doorbell rang at the right moment.
"Um, I will take see the door," I said awkwardly, hurriedly running toward the main door.

Kind’s Kiss
MAGIC DOESN'T KILL, NOT BY ITSELF. IT NEEDS A LITTLE HELP. Jessica DeRidder is a substitute teacher and mage in hiding, her daughter Ellen a killer on the run. Their next job lands the mother-daughter team in Hellhole, a small town in the middle of nowhere. All they need to do is their job. For Mom to identify the problem, and for Ellen to... fix it. Easy. Simple. But not this time. The pair find themselves caught in the struggle between the Man-in-White and the Wicked Witch of the West. A mysterious image and the theft of a deadly flower lead the pair to a score of dead prisoners, magical drug dealers, and red-eyed assassins falling from the sky. And somehow it all seems to be related to Ellen's murky past. All Ellen wants to do is do her homework, eat ice cream, and protect her newfound friends (not necessarily in that order). She'll go all-in, guns blazing. But when the smoke clears there may be nothing left but a stranger's past and a lonely future. --- 'Kind's Kiss' is a light, modern-day fantasy, easy on the magic, heavy on the snark. Though complete it is still a work in progress. One reviewer described it as 'Buffy meets Sabrina, as done by Tarantino'. I'm still not sure if I should consider that a compliment or hire a hitman :-)
