《Camille Lupin the Unicorn》Dinner at the Manor

Camille's POV
I kept spinning until I fell out of another fireplace. But James caught me and Axel jumped out of my hoodie scurrying away. "Thanks James" I say smiling as I pull my stuff away from the fire place as Peter comes through. Falling down face first "you alright Peter?" I ask as I help him up away from the fire.
"Yeah, thanks Camille" he tells me smiling. Soon Remus and Sirius arrive with the rest of our shopping. Just as a man and a woman enter the room. This must be James' parents as the man looks like an older version of James and James has the same eyes as the woman.
"James you're home sooner then we thought you'd be and these must be your friends" his father states smiling.
"While aren't you going to introduce us to the two we have yet to met?" his mother asks when she pulls away from hugging Sirius.
"Sure thing Mum, this is Remus Lupin and his little sister Camille" James states wrapping his arms around us.
"Younger twin sister James, get it right" I scold him lightly and he chuckles. He goes to mess up my hair, but stops at my glare. "You know better then to touch my hair or have you forgotten want I did to Sirius" I remind him and he pales slightly.
"What did you do to Sirius?" Mr Potter asks.
"You promised to never tell Camille" Sirius states quickly.
"And I won't, I keep my promises remember" I tell him. "Thank you for letting us visit Mr and Mrs Potter" I state bowing my head. Remus also thanks them and nods his head.
"No trouble at all, we live meeting James' friends" Mrs Potter assures us. "But please call me Euphemia and my husband Fleamont" she states.

"Of course Euphemia" Remus states and I nod my head in agreement.
"Now why don't I send these upstairs and then James can give you a tour" Fleamont suggests. We nod our hands and he takes out his wand waving it at the shopping. "Oh what's that?" he asks pointing and I see Axel running towards us. He jumps back up onto my shoulder before hiding in my hoodie.
"That's Axel mine and Remy's ferret" I state while Fleamont steps closer wanting a closer look. "I wouldn't do that Fleamont, Axel does not like strangers and is tired not a good combo together" I tell him. He nods his head and I jump on Sirius' back not wanting to climb the stairs.
"What ya doing?" Sirius ask but doesn't try making me get down.
"To many stairs" I tell him and he chuckles along with the rest of our group. James leads the way upstairs talking to Remus and Peter. He shows Remus his room and then me mine which was across from Sirius'. "Thanks James, Sirius" I state hoping off Sirius and head to the door. I open it and enter before turning to face the boys. "Now stay out of my room" I tell them and shut the door.
Euphemia soon called us down for dinner and I hoped on Remy's back this time. James lead us to the dinning room where there was tacos ready to be out together. "Sirius come to my room when everyone is asleep and I'll tell you the secret" I whisper to him. Sirius nods his head giving me a smile.
(Later in the Night) Still Camille's POV
"So what's this big secret?" Sirius asks as he enters my room after knocking. I had got out the book I had been looking for. I had given Remus his new book and he gave me one on Animagi. But that is not the book I have.

"Do you know what my wand is made of?" I ask handing it to him.
"Oak?" he guesses after studying it.
"Not just any Oak, but English Oak" I tell him taking it back. "Read this" I state pointing to a paragraph in the book I had taken out. Sirius looks out it and reads it out loud quietly:
"English Oak
A wand for good times and bad, this is a friend as loyal as the wizard who deserves it. Wands of English oak demand partners of strength, courage and fidelity. Less well-known is the propensity for owners of English oak wands to have powerful intuition, and, often, an affinity with the magic of the natural world, with the creatures and plants that are necessary to wizard kind for both magic and pleasure. The oak tree is called King of the Forest from the winter solstice up until the summer solstice, and its wood should only be collected during that time (holly becomes King as the days begin to shorten again, and so holly should only be gathered as the year wanes. This divide is believed to be the origin of the old superstition, "when his wand's oak and hers is holly, then to marry would be folly," a superstition that I have found baseless). It is said that Merlin's wand was of English oak (though his grave has never been found, so this cannot be proven)" he finishes.
"That's why I get certain feelings, mostly when something bad is going to happen. I have nightmares often, because of what he-who-must-not-be-named does, along with his followers" I state. "That's why dangerous magical creature don't hurt me and I have such good intuition" I add.
"So only your parents, Remus and possibly the wand maker know about this" Sirius states.
"Yes, I told my father what my wand was and he took out this book" I state. "You can't tell anyone this Sirius" I tell him. "If he or his followers ever found out" I begin to say and tear up.
"Hey you're secret is safe with me" Sirius promises pulling me into a hug. "I'll always protect you Camille" he states. "Along with Remus" he adds and I smile. I'm happy he understands how important my family is to me, especially Remus.
"You should probably go, we need rest for the Quidditch game tomorrow" I remind him.
"Don't worry Remus and James are going down" Sirius assures me kissing my forehead. He leaves and shuts the door behind him. I put the book away and crawl under the covers of the bed. I fell asleep and for the first time in a while I had no nightmares.

Campaign: A Project Starfarer Sidestory
This novel’s lore, story and characters are entirely fictitious. Certain long-standing countries, institutions, organizations, agencies, and public offices are mentioned, but their histories and the characters involved are wholly imaginary. "What will you do with your freedom?"Growing up in a meritocracy, infamous for being lawless, Jordan Astros had been repeatedly asked this question, since times unmemorable. In a society where one's accomplishments and skills were tallied and ranked in order to determine one's standard of living however, Jordan quickly grew to understand that 'freedom,' was a reward earned by accumulating Merit. And so, after his 17th birthday, Jordan departed his Clan's habitat in orbit of Europa to embark on his century-long journey to rise from E-Ranker to S-Rank. And spread his name throughout the Galilean Powers. *** Campaign is a sidestory within its NanoPunk parent series, Project Starfarer. (Yet to be published. Be on the lookout for it!) In which the first transhuman known to humanity, the Starfarer, invokes a plan to seed terrestrial life throughout the galaxy. Campaign takes place around the middle of that timeline and explores the life of a key figure in that universe, Jordan Astros. And explores one of four great nations thriving in the Solar System during that time. A Meritocracy that spans Jupiter and its 79 moons, The Galilean Powers. What you'll find in Campaign: Brutal melee combat in airless and pressurized low gravity environments. A technology based progression system influenced by merit and accomplishments; using tech that's theoretically possible to exist in the near-future. An exploratory perspective of the dozens of Galilean societies, or 'Powers,' from Jordans; and sometimes others', POV. What you wont find: Romance. Harems. An MC who receives shortcuts, handouts, learns things unnaturally fast or has OP plot armor. Jordan is not a special individual. Jordan is not OP and he likely never will be. He's no different than any other citizen in the Galilean Powers and will certainly face as many defeats as he does wins. He'll suffer losses and grow as an individual, while the Powers evolves around him as well. This is semi-hard sci-fi/NanoPunk and takes place in a fictional version of our future solar system. Centered around technology that's plausible in the near-centuries to come. Everything abides by the laws of physics/thermodynamics (As best that I understand them, at least. I'm no scientist.) No artificial gravity, inertial dampeners, teleportation, FTL, or hand-wavy materials will be found in the Project Starfarer universe. Just advanced automation, nanotechnology, cybernetics and AI. Set in the backdrop of space. *I do not own the photo used for the cover*
