《Relationship With My Brothers Best Friend (Rewritten)》Chapter 31.

"What?" I feel like I know what he means when he says he approves, but at the same time it may not be for the same thing.
He sighs, turning to me. "I approve your relationship with Colten."
My heart pounds behind my ears erratically, my eyes widening with disbelief. When did this happen?
"Wha - how?" I stutter, blinking a few times to let my eyes breathe from being open for so long.
"I talked to Colten today," he sighs. "And I understand what your guys want now. I've always wanted to protect you, but by doing that I'm driving to away from me."
I smile, my joy taking over as I pounce on my brother, my arms wrapping around him. He hugs me back, our brother sister relationship finally shining through. I've missed this.
Whatever Colten had said to him earlier was a goal because now there's one person off our radar.
"I love you." My voice is muffled by my brothers shirt, but I'm sure he heard me just fine.
"I love you too," he hugs me tighter. "More than you'll ever know."
•••
My entire goal is set on finding Angelique. Colten doesn't know my plan, but I could careless. She's messed with my relationship all too many times and that ends here.
Adrenaline is a powerful thing. I've felt it quite a few times before, but never this bad. I feel like my heart is pounding against my eyeballs, making them bulge out of my head. My teeth grind together as I watch the bitch laugh with her fake posse.
Not today.
My feet carry me over to the queen herself, and before I can think to much into it and end up getting caught, I grip her hair, making her stumble backwards.
A squeak pierces my ears and the entire lot goes quiet. I can practically see the red hot fury behind her eyes as she find out who it is that assaulted her. Then a smirk takes over her perfectly glossed lips. I'm confused.
"Well, well, well," she clicks her tongue, crossing her arms over her chest. "Looks like little Nikki finally found out who made Colten break up with her."
I smile bitterly, my eyes set on her and only her. I barely notice the crowd around us getting bigger.
"Jokes on you," I tsk. "Because we're very much still together. Looks like your little plan to break us up didn't work."
Angelique thinks she covers the shocked look behind her smirk and calm facade, but I clearly see it. She's not at good as she thinks.
It's weird, a part of me sympathizes for her and the other thinks she's desperate. In reality, I think she really does want a boyfriend, but no one seems to want her other than one night. It makes me feel bad. On the other hand, though, she's ruined a billion relationships in her short time of living and that's something I'm not okay with.

This is for everyone that has been screwed over by her. I'm the one whose going to step up and show her a lesson, since no else has the guts. But that's okay, I don't mind.
"Oh," she smirks. "Did he not realize already what a slut you are?"
I clench my fists, getting ready to bust open that pretty nose she has. With all the make up she has on, I'll be suprised if I can actually hit it.
"No," I step closer to her. "But he did realize what and obsessive, crazy bitch you are."
I barely feel the sting of her palm against my cheek. I only know she hit me because my head goes flying to the side, my eyes wide with shock.
I'm glad she made the first move.
"Not today, bitch," I seethe and throw my fist right at her nose.
I'm lucky Jackson had taught me how to fight in ninth grade. Granted, it was for if boy tried taking advantage of me, but it works now more than ever. I know a few things of my own too.
A sickening crunch vibrates through my hand, but it's not my injuries, it's hers.
A scream erupts from her throat, but the pain doesn't stop her as she lunges at me. We both fall back against the concrete, nothing really happening, but Angelique yelling in my face.
I see people's faces above us, watching amusingly while the girl fight unfolds. I may be a girl, but I definitely won't fight like one. That is why my knee comes up hard, kneeing the queen in an awkward spot.
A whimper and scream is released and she falls off of me. I take this chance to straddle her waist, my hand tightening in her hand to hold it in place as I throw my fist at her once again. She screams and tries to kick me off, but this is for all the hell she's put me through for the past week.
"Nikki!" Voices scream my name, but I can't make out the owners of them. I just keep punching and slapping. Occasionally my hand would pull hard on her hair, feeling some of the strands separate from her scalp.
She deserves it.
Then suddenly, I'm jerked off of her, my body landing into somebody else's chest.
"Let me go!" I scream trying to scramble towards Angelique, who is set on her elbows coughing up blood and crying.
"She's had enough," Colten whispers in my ear. I'm surprised I can ever hear him through the chaos of students.
"I don't think so," I huff. Colten turns me around so I'm facing him, a look of concern pressed to his features.
"Are you okay?" He inspects the bruise that Angelique's slap no doubt caused.

"I'm fine," I move my face away from his hand, but it's immediately pulled back, this time his lips on top of mine. I instantly moan into his mouth, my fists clenching around his shirt as he pulls me flush against him.
Our lips move together softly, yet quickly. I feel the slickness of his tongue slide across the seal of my lips, which I allow to explore my mouth. I let our tongues massage each other while our lips close and pop.
His mouth immediately calms the raging fire inside of me, the adrenaline I once felt has simmered and resolved with that of lust.
I know I'm probably going to get in trouble with the school for causing a girl to bleed, but right now, I don't care. All I can possible focus on is the softness of Colten's lip on mine, they calm me.
That's until the husky baritone voice of our principl's pierces through the air.
"Nikki Long! Angelique Boiden in my office! Now!" I pull away from Colten and sigh.
"It'll be okay," he assures me, I smile against his lips before pulling away completely and following the principle.
I've never got in trouble at school in my life and I have to admit, I'm pretty scared. I have no idea what is to be expected and it scares the crap out of me. Suspension? Detention? Expulsion? Wait, they wouldn't expel me would they?
"Sit," he orders. I take a seat in one of the chairs he has set up while Angelique is the one next to me, a tissue underneath her nose. Maybe I didn't break it. Whatever. Not time to worry about her physical health. "Anybody want to tell me what happened out there?"
"Angelique has always been trying to destroy my relationship!" I say the same time Angelique says, "Nikki just came out of no where and punched me in the face!"
"Stop," he holds his hand up. "One at a time, please. Nikki first."
The story pours out of my mouth with no hesitation, me explaining all of what has happened between Angelique before today and concluding at where we fought.
When Angelique explains her story, it's really hard not to interrupt especially when she says "she stole my boyfriend". I don't know about you, but I wanted to punch the stupid tears off her face. I probably would've too if Mister VanDyke wasn't sitting right in front of us.
"Oh my," mister VanDyke rubs his hand over his forehead. "Okay, I won't bring this up with the school board, but you will have consequences for fighting on school grounds."
We both nod solemnly, even though we probably both knew this was going to happen. I did at least, Angelique probably thought she could get out of it with her fictional sob story.
"Both of you will be suspended for the next two days, you will be allowed to cheer at the next game since it's homecoming, but after that's up," he pauses making my nerves spike. "You'll have two weeks of detention after school."
I bite my lip in order for a groan not to slide out of my mouth, and nod.
"Good," he nods. "Now get out of my school."
I walk out of the office way before Angelique and make my way to my locker.
On the way there, I finally take in the fact that homecoming will be this Friday. I'll admit that I had not paid any attention to the fact that our first dance of the year is this Friday and a big one at that. I've been so preoccupied with Colten and the whole fiasco that I totally forgot all about the last game of the normal season for us.
Will Colten ask me? Does he even want to go? He should want to since he's a senior, right? Oh great, now we're only four days away from the day of the dance and I don't even know if I'm going with my boyfriend. I feel like I should assume we're going together, but I still wish he'd ask. If I'm going with him - screw it.
"How'd it go?" Out of nowhere comes the voice and I jump in surprise, turning around to slap Colten on the chest.
"Don't do that," I growl. "You scared me."
"Sorry," he smiles cheekily, pulling me by the hips to his chest. "Now tell me what happened."
"Um," I stutter. "Two days suspension and two weeks detention."
"Fuck," he blows out a whistle. "You got off easy. Whenever VanDyke sees me fighting he suspends me for a week."
I laugh at this. "He probably likes me, then."
"Yeah," he rolls his eyes, walking along with me towards the front of the school.
"What are you doing?" I scold as he retracts his keys from his pocket.
"Grabbing my keys," he squints at me.
"For what?"
"So I can drive you home," he dramatically blows out a breath. "Are you high or something?"
"No," I glare at him. "Are you? You are not driving me home."
"Why?"
"Because you need to get to class," I tell him in a 'duh' tone."
"And let you walk home alone?" He raises an eyebrow. "Hell no. Now let's go so I can fuck that tight pussy of yours."
I gasp, Colten already dragging me down the hallway.
