《Dreaming (BWWM)》RICH BEYOND MY DREAMS PT.3💭

Once the bell rang, I got up from my seat and headed towards the door. Once I got out three girls were standing in front of me.
"I didn't know you were Leo's sister," The girl in the front smiled at me.
She looked like she was a Victoria Secret Model. All of the girls did. She had caramel skin and long wavy light-brown hair.
"Yea....." I said in a monotone voice.
"You said that your last school was in Brooklyn Heights right?"
"Yeah."
I had grown bored with this conversation.
"How come Leo goes here and you went there?"
"I lived with my mom and went to school there."
"But Leo's mom lives here." the second girl added.
This is too much for me right now. I don't have time to explain the dynamics of our family.
"Yes, Leo's mom does live here" I repeated.
"Oh," the third girl said. She seemed to understand where I was getting at.
The third girl was beautiful she looked like she had a classy feel to her. She was giving me Breakfast at Tiffany's vibes.
" I got to go. I don't wanna be late on my first day, but It was nice talking to you guys," I lied.
"Same here," the girl in the front said.
I wasted no time leaving. I zoomed outta there and headed straight down the hall. Once I got to the door I looked at my schedule to make sure it was the right room number-128. I walked into the class and people were already in their seats. I stood unsure of where to sit until a woman came up to me.
" Amiyah right?" she asked.
"Yeah." I nodded.
"Hi!, I'm Ms. Brown, welcome to World Literature.
"Thanks."
"You sit up front next to Taylor over there" She gestured to a dark-skinned girl with 4c hair.
"Okay"
I walked over and sat in the empty seat beside her.
"I'm so sorry," she said.
"What?"
"That Leo is your stepbrother." she chuckled.
"And that they made you go to this school" she added.
I smiled for the first time today. A person who didn't ask me plenty of questions. Taylor reminded me of the girls from the Heights.

"Wow! word gets around fast huh?"
"Oh yeah," she nodded.
"Leo is not bad. He's been helpful this whole time." I smiled.
"That's a first." She smiled back.
I could tell that she and Leo go way back. I wanted to know what type of history they had.
"How long have you guys known each other?" I asked.
"I've known him since the 7th grade"
"Oh"
"Yea, he was so scrawny and tall " She chuckled.
"I KNOW! like he was built like a twig"
"Built like Dr. Doofenshmirtz"
"Built like Mr. Crocker"
We were in the front DYING. We decided to shut up and pay attention to the rest of class.
"Your homework for tonight is to read the background of Gilgamesh. In order to understand the book, you need to do some research about what it is you're reading," Ms. Brown announced.
Once the bell rang everybody got up and headed for the door. I packed all my stuff and headed for the door.
"Amiyah what's your next class?
"I have US History with Mr.Sundell. What about you?"
"Ayyyeee, me too."
We left Ms.Brown's class and we started walking to Mr.Sundell's class.
"Give me the rundown. Who are the people I should and shouldn't mess with."
"Okay, well there's Destiny, Kristal, and Imani. AKA dumb, dumber, and dumbest. They think they run shit. Newsflash they don't. They always wanna start shit with someone. Destiny and Evan had a thing. She's moved on to college guys. Kristal and Eric dated back in 8th grade but broke up in 10th grade. Kristal does her own shit, she really doesn't mess with any guys at Lexington. Imani, now she for everybody. If you don't play basketball or football, she doesn't want you.
"Ooop."
"Evan is one of the good guys at Lexington. His mom is the headmaster, so you know he got some type of privilege here.
I knew he had some type of relations with this school.
"Eric is known for being goofy. He doesn't really take anything seriously, except for basketball.
"I see why all the girls like him"
"Yea... little do they know he only like black girls"
"Girl what???!!!....."
"Yesss honey. Eric loves him some black queens."

"I would've never thought" I chuckled.
"Before Kristal, he dated black girls. After he broke up with Kristal, he tried to get at my friend Noelle. He had a huge crush on her freshman year. He still does."
"He got it bad"
"Girl I'll tell you the whole tea during lunch, we gotta get to Mr.Sundell's class first" She laughed.
I felt a sense of relief. That I finally found someone I could be myself around.
"Yeah, you right"
We got to Mr.Sundell's room-325. The classroom was booming with noise. All of the students were chatting with each other. Mr. Sundell couldn't care less, he was sitting at his desk looking at the clock waiting for class to start. In the back, there was a girl who was motioning Taylor to sit next to her.
"I'm sitting with Amiyah today," Taylor pointed at me.
"Noelle, come sit with me," Eric smiled.
"Okay," Noelle nodded.
Eric shoved the guy sitting next to him out of his seat and placed his stuff gently on the floor.
"Sorry man, you know when Noelle calls I gotta answer" he apologized.
Noelle got up from her seat and sat next to Eric.
"Damn Noelle, you look good," he said licking his lips.
" Eric, you need some chapstick or vaseline or something cause your lips looking a lil chapped," she said.
He dug through his pockets and pulled out a small yellow container with a red top. He violently applied the Carmex to his lips.
Taylor and I silently chuckled behind them.
"So Amiyah...." Noelle turned around.
"Yea" I smiled.
"Brooklyn Heights huh?"
"Yea"
"I know a couple of people that go there"
"Do you know Sabrina?"
"Sabrina..... Santana, Wellington, or..."
"Maxwell," we both said the same time.
Sabrina Maxwell was the most annoying person at that school. She felt like she could bag any guy, she could finesse her way out of anything just because she was semi-attractive. I didn't want to say shit about Sabrina Maxwell to Noelle, because I got the feeling that was her friend.
" Yea I know her," I said.
"Does she still act like she's the shit?" She chuckled.
I take it Sabrina isn't her friend.
"Yep." I nodded.
"We went to the same middle school. We were cool til she started switching up on me in 8th grade."
"Damn."
"Yeah, my family moved from the Heights to Lexington after my dad got a new job, " she explained.
"I guess you understand my situation then" I smiled.
"Yeah. It's gets better trust me."
"This coming from someone who says they hate coming to this hell hole every day for the past two years" Taylor snorted.
"I'll keep saying it til I get my diploma." Noelle chuckled."
We all started chuckling. Mr. Sundell gave us a lecture on the Cold War. Then he proceeded to give us a thick ass packet and assigned 3 pages for us to do for homework. Great. Class was officially over and everybody got out of their seats.
"What class you guys have after this?" I asked.
"After this class I have lunch" Noelle said.
"We all got lunch after this Noelle" Taylor retorted.
"I didn't see the lunch block on my schedule" I analyzed my schedule.
"Yea... they don't put the lunch block in those schedules. If you have Mr.Sundell for the second period then you have the early lunch block. We have lunch here early or late depending on the day because there's a lot of hungry ass kids at this school," Taylor explained.
"So for different teachers there's different lunch blocks?"
They both nodded.
This was all new to me. At the heights we all ate together at the same time. This was differently new territory for me.
"It's weird. Early lunch I don't eat much because it's early in the morning. Late lunch all the food be gone so I be getting pissed. I like middle lunch, but I have no middle lunch blocks in my schedule." Noelle whined.
"That sucks for you cause I got one early and the rest are middle" Taylor laughed.
"We should head to the cafeteria before all those greedy ass kids eat all the food"
"Noelle you the greedy one" Taylor laughed.
"Shut up Tay" Noelle chuckled.
We left Mr. Sundell's class and headed down to the cafeteria. So far things look good. It may not be the worse after all.
Let me not speak too soon.
