《Delicate》XXIII. Mason Loves Venus

Never say that ever again, I'll seriously call the grabber on you.
~ Third Person POV ~
So summer was already almost over and the girls were doing some back to school shopping, everyone had a day in the week where Hallow and Angel would take one of the girls to the mall to buy whatever they needed and the rest could be bought online.
Today was my day, Venus was a little more nervous than everyone else for the reason that she had messaged Mason to meet them there so we could hang out, Hallow knew about this and wanted them to look the prettiest anyone has ever seen her.
Except she wasn't given makeup, Hallow said that true beauty is beneath and Angel told Venus that style is what makes someone extra attractive, so Venus was balancing looking all natural and making sure my outfit didn't look stupid.
More or less, when I got dressed even Dahlia complimented me, she didn't say anything mean like she normally did, that's how Venus knew she looked good.
"It's raining a bit, I'm gonna take an umbrella."
Angel stated as they grabbed one of her pastel colored umbrellas from the linen closet, Hallow smiled at the girls and said their goodbyes before walking out of the house and walking to the car, Venus was a little more nervous as they had gotten closer to Mason over the past few months.
Hallow whispered something to Angel which was probably to tell her to keep Venus's mind off of the fact that Mason was coming, what are you supposed to say to someone to keep their mind off of their crush?
"Do you wanna know where babies come from?"
Angel asked in all seriousness as she looked at the mirror, Hallow used her left hand to slap Angel's thigh.
"Ow! You said to keep their mind off of Mason, I'm trying to do that."
Angel spoke out as she rubbed her left thigh as the hand print of Hallow's hand began to redden her skin, Venus chuckled at the attempt of taking her mind off of her crush and took their phone out to text Dahlia the incident.

Instead of going to the messages of just her and Dahlia's, Venus went to the Instagram group chat of all the girls and figured to speak to them altogether, when they finally arrived to the mall.
"Mason said he's at hot topic, I'm gonna go over there if that's okay?"
Venus asked both Hallow and Angel, they both nodded their head and walked into the mall with he girl before separating, their nerves weren't as bad as the first time that she was meeting Mason.
Turning on their location and notifications, Venus walked inside of Hot Topic and looked around, the graphic tees were really eye catching but she was really looking for Mason not clothes.
"Looking for me?"
A deep-ish voice questioned the girl, Venus turned around and smiled at a curly brown haired boy who has the biggest stupid smile on his face, Venus waved at him and soon they embraced each other with a warm hug.
They walked out of the store and began to look around the mall just to see which took around thirty minutes because Mason kept messing around with Venus, their friendship was adorable and fans went ballistic, in a good way, when he posted photos of them together.
"You piss me off Thames."
Venus joked as they walked into a clothing store to buy some outfits for school, Mason rolled his eyes playfully and grabbed her hand before twirling her around so that they were facing him now.
Heart beating completely faster than ever, and even hearing their heart in their ear, Venus smiled at the boy.
"But you love me though, isn't that right, princess?"
Mason asked, Venus didn't know what to say other than laugh and push him away jokingly, she walked to the where the shirts were and distracted herself from the words he spoke.
Together they looked for the clothes that they wanted to wear for back to school, they didn't realize that Angel and Hallow had drove to another store for something and that they would come back.

So when they finished shopping, and began to look for Angel and Hallow, you could just imagine the look on their faces when they realized that the two girls were nowhere to found, but that only meant that they were able to shop some more.
Except they didn't want any more clothes or shoes so they walked to one of the food stands that were at every corner and sat down to eat.
"Do you think they got kidnapped?"
Mason asked as he took a sip from his drink, Venus looked at him and shook their head, it was obvious they either did this on purpose or had truly forgotten that the mall didn't have what they really needed.
"No, they're both smart girls and know what they're going to do."
Venus replied nonchalantly, the two were pretty hungry and choked down all of the food that they had bought before walking to the front entrance of the mall to wait for the girls outside, except the girls still weren't there.
So the two stood there and watched as the rain began to fall, Mason snaked his hand towards Venus and together they stood close.
"The rain looks really pretty, honestly have a freakish obsession with the smell of the rain."
Venus admitted, she wasn't ashamed of it because almost everyone probably loved the smell of rain as well, I mean it's quite nostalgic.
Mason nodded his head and looked at the girl beside him, now I started feeling like I was a third wheel and I'm the narrator!
"Vee, you're really pretty."
Mason complimented them, Venus was caught off guard by the compliment and looked at him with a smile, Mason and Venus were now inches away from each other's face.
As Mason's eyes flickered from Venus's lips to their eyes and back again, it felt like everything was off of a movie but it wasn't a horrible movie, it was a great and well planned movie that hit the theaters and took it by storm.
That's when Venus slowly moved her hands toward his and slowly, their lips connected as if Bluetooth headphones quickly connecting to their phone, it was a slow and passionate kiss that made everything come together nicely.
When they pulled away, Mason had pink ears and crimson red cheeks which made Venus smile slightly, when Hallow drove to the front of the mall, they honked the horn and rushed the kids to get inside before it began to rain harder.
Mason didn't walk over immediately, instead pulling Venus back for a split second and pecking their lips before holding onto her hand and walking with her to the car.
Venus said their goodbyes to the boy as Tristan was already there to pick up the boy, Mason smiled at her and waved at the other two girls before rushing to Tristan's car.
"I bet you were thinking about running your fingers through his brown curly locks."
Angel teased.
Never ever say that again, I'll seriously call the grabber on you.
Venus retorted with a smile on their face as they had just realized that they had kissed their celebrity crush, although they had kissed, neither one of them had actually asked if they were dating.
But those suspicions were laid to rest later on in the day when Mason asked them to be his girlfriend.
It was all in the moment when everyone in the household realized that Mason loves Venus and Venus loves Mason, but it was way too early for them to say it to each other, but everyone knew it.
Including Mason and Venus.

Candor: The Forgotten House
*** Please read note below *** As a 16-year-old mage from a powerful family, Jayce Candor had known from a young age what his future would hold. As the fourth son in his family the possibility of him becoming the heir to the household was very small. But, with his talent as a mage, his potential accomplishments in the military could lead to titles of nobility and political power. However, on what would otherwise be an unremarkable night, everything he had ever known, the only people he ever cared for, and all of the plans for his future were destroyed. House Candor, one of the six great houses that helped build the Eldoran Empire had been erased from history. By imperial decree, all those bearing the name Candor were hunted down and executed as traitors of the Empire. With no home, no family, and only death waiting for him, Jayce decided to escape north to the uncharted Northern Territories to begin a new life. Forced into situations he was never prepared for and trying to cope with his past, Jayce tries to find safety in a place spoken about only in legends. There for the first time, he will make true friends and find people he will come to see as family. He will encounter strong enemies, build powerful alliances, and become a person his ancestors would be proud of. But surrounded by creatures he thought only existed in tales and pressed by the Empire’s constant expansion, Jayce’s safety may be only an illusion. To survive a world fraught with danger Jayce will need to grow stronger with each new experience and rebuild his once forgotten house. ********************************************************************** Note: The story starts slow. Although there is more action as the story progresses, there is a fair amount of introspection and character introduction in the first 30 chapters. Jayce is the main character, however, other characters play a large role and the story is seen through multiple POV's. This is a draft, it is not a finished work. This is not a story that focuses on an OP MC who beats up on weaklings. At times there can be a fair amount of internal monologue. Some of that may be edited out when I rewrite the story. I decided to keep it in the draft because I think it is better to have too much material rather than too little when I edit. Constructive criticism is appreciated as it helps in the editing and rewriting process. Check out my other story Shattered Mind here
