《My Isekai》Chapter 41 - Home with the girls
Advertisement
Back at the farm I am welcomed back by my girls, though Mari seems too busy cooking to greet me. I feel the need to tease her. Standing behind her, she asks me how it went. "Oh, I got one of these." As she turns around to look I summon out the great axe and put on a grin. Mari looks more shocked than surprised by the proximity of an axe twice the size of her head. "She isn't going to be impressed by the size of your axe." Kira is teasing me. Lawra takes it further, "I hope you aren't making up for something else. Surely you missed your girls while you were away." She always manages to sound saucy.
I check up on Kira's progress with the crossbow. She has already mastered the reload from soul storage technique. All she need is a quicker way to pull back the string. That will be my next project. I have also decided what to do with the southern farm building. I want to build a water tower behind it and incorporate it into the building, which will be our new bath, shower and wash room. I really want to install a WC as well. I am tired of smelly outhouses and doing the thing behind the bushes.
Lynne is keeping busy with dismantling work, Mari seems happy with taking care of the house and the small fields outside. Lawra however, seems bored. She usually just helps out were she can, but what she really needs is to use her natural merchant skills. We don't have anything valuable to sell at the moment, so it will have to wait. To cheer her up I suggest we all head to the guild common room this evening for dinner and drinks. We can certainly afford it.

Later in the evening we enter the guild to get seats in the common area. Each round table takes 4 people. There are 5 of us. I see a bearded fellow waiving at me in the distance. It is Lak. He has one girl on his lap and one sitting squeezed next to him on a second chair. There a two spare chairs, and there is a free table next to him. Perfect.
Me and Kira joins Lak. Kira seems to know a lot of people at the guild, so I am not surprised that she knows Lak. Looking at the two girls with Lak I am reminded of the conversations we had about women. I wonder if these two have any long term plans. Lak is not exactly hiding that he wants to stay a bachelor. Lak interrupts my thoughts. "So Kira is one of your four wives. I didn't know. I feel a bit sorry for you though, she can be very feisty." Kira doesn't look bothered by the comment despite me giving her a look as to ask if I should have a round in the arena with Lak.
"I got to ask, how do you manage to keep four wives happy at night." Lak is as direct as usual. Kira beats me to the question. "He manages barely." "Really, he has a lot more stamina than me." Now Lak seems to defend me. If all he is looking for is a rude conversation with the rest of my wives listening and giggling on the next table, he might as well get it. "Well you know, stamina and virility isn't the same thing." Lak just laughs it off.
"Let me introduce you to my girls here. This is Tira" Lak indicates at the dark haired beauty on his lap. Tira introduces herself as a seamstress skilled guild member. I guess F ranked hunters who are only here for the commercial side think of themselves not as hunters, but as skilled workers. Makes sense. Despite the fact that she is sitting on Lak's lap, she seems to have a good head on her shoulders.

The second girl introduces herself as Lena, rather than say more about herself, she gets up from her seat and circles me as if she is looking at a prey. Oh no, does she not know that all of my four wives are currently looking at me. She slips onto my lap as gently and seductively as if she belonged there. She does have all the right curves. I am not used to this sort of attention. Remember, don't enjoy it, your wives are looking. Why don't you push her off?
"Hey, that is my spot." Mari is confronting Lena showing off the oath crest on her right hand. She is being unusually direct. Mari, never used a harsh word against anyone, but she looks pretty determined now. Lena slides off me and offer her seat to its rightful owner. Mari dumps herself on my lap and tries to look her tallest and most magnificent sitting there. She is only a short lass. Normally she only reaches to my chin. She smells of alcohol.
Looking at the other girls, they are all giggling and laughing. Seems like the whole affair was mostly planned by them. Both Lynne and Lawra have drinks, and there is a third cup for Mari. "How much did she have?" Lawra indices half a cup. Mari seems to be a light weight, but then she has never had the chance to drink alcohol. Resting my chin on her ample bosom I hug her tight.
Tira starts talking to Lak. "Look at how adorable those two are, you are never going have that unless you start being a bit more serious." Lak looks tongue-tied. Women of this world seem to be more mature. Hardship will do that to anyone.

Sanctuary
A girl searching for someone. A boy who lost his memories. A man from another world. A woman trying to prove her worth. Follow along as this unlikely group of people join forces to help each other accomplish their own goals in this non-epic fantasy adventure. Fair Warning: This fiction contains many of the well-known light novel tropes, though I try to give them my own spin. If you’re tired of them by now, you might want to keep away. There are no demon lords however, nor any end-of-the-world cataclysm situation that only the MC can solve. This story is more about different people coming together and helping each other out to achieve their own goals and objectives.

Rise
20 years have passed since the Chaos Energy Quake rippled through the Milky Way Galaxy. During the year-long Quake, Chaos Energy became unusable, rendering much of the galaxy’s technology useless, and preventing Chaotics – beings who possess supernatural abilities – from using their powers. The galaxy has since moved on from the Quake, but to this day no one knows what could have caused it. The only broadly possible hints lie with the woefully few Chaotics born during the Quake, such as the seven Chaotics born on the world of Nimalia, homeworld of the Nimalian Territories. The other galactic civilizations see little correlation between the Quake and those born during it, but now that the seven have reached the age of 20, some Nimalians think they may be able to finally learn exactly what caused the galactic disruption two decades ago…
