| Ian Is The Real Deal |

At Renner Mansion, Beverly Hills.

It was the last day of the shooting for Crazy, Stupid, Love. The filming ended with wonderful smiles among everyone considering how wholesome the entire journey was. Scarlett and some other actors, and actresses even had tears while Ian was delivering the thank you speech.

Ian mentioned every detail that had encouraged everyone to complete the filming in such a short time. Yet, the movie was taken extravagantly perfect, which surprised Ian. Especially when the original movie had taken 53 days to complete shooting.

Nevertheless, Ian had a smile plastered on his face while he was remembering the filming process.

In his hand, there was the television remote controller, and in his other hand, there was a cup of coffee.

He changed the channels and saw the live debate of Christopher and other candidates who were presenting themselves for the Senator role. The lady had just started the welcoming and introductory speech.

Since it already has been a few weeks since he talked to Christopher, he had almost forgotten about it.

“I’m Christopher Greyson…”

Right when his introduction speech was ongoing, Ian had turned the television on. ‘Perfect,’ Ian thought.

The debate flowed smoothly, and the candidates started answering and giving honest replies to all the questions that the residents had submitted. They had answered the majority of their common questions, and it was truly something to watch them talk and debate.

“....Yes, and so… considering the poll numbers, Christopher is in the lead for the state of California, giving his party a surprising lead in the elections. If this keeps up till the end of the election, we can say one thing for sure… And that is—”

‘Going like this, I might apply for the next presidential election.’ Ian laughed inside his mind at a crazy thought that came suddenly.

After a while, after the people on TV kept debating, suddenly the tabloid which addressed the rumors about Ian’s next movie came up.

‘What the f–’ Ian said and increased the volume so that he could hear the TV clearly.

“.... In Hollywood news, Rumours suggest, that Renner Studios' latest entree into the Rom-Com genre, Crazy, Stupid, Love, is about to finish filming. The discussions are ongoing considering this movie was completely exposed to the public out of the blue. It has also been confirmed that the trailer for the movie will be released within two weeks.”

‘Right!’ he said with a ‘tsk’ sound and waited till the channel focuses on the debate. What the tabloid said was true.

During the last day of shooting, Ian had talked with Mason and everyone else on the team to create the trailer that could attract so many people considering the fame that the name itself could bring—the name of Ian.

After the ‘La La Land’ musical movie release, people were already expecting another rom-com from Ian. It was mainly because of how heartwarming it was and how good and rare that sort of movie for the industry was.

Nevertheless, Ian wondered how the rumors were already festering considering the movie trailer was not even complete.

The next morning.

Ian was on his way to meet the Co-CEO and Chief content officer, director, Ted Peter.

The director was trying to put up a meeting with Ian Renner for almost two weeks now. It wasn’t that Ian was just busy, but also Ian had to delay it considering his other plans and editing of the script.

The entire lobby was filled with men and women wearing different types of suits and formal wear, considering every one of them was associated with the media.

“Hello sir, you must be Ian Renner?” A pretty lady who had the name ‘Rosy’ labelled on her blazer walked in front of Ian.

“Ah yes, meeting with Ted.”

“Yes sir, please follow me. Mr. Peter was expecting your arrival for a couple of minutes now.”

“Yeah, heavy traffic.”

“It’s okay sir, the fifth floor,” She said as she clicked the fifth level button.

As soon as they walked through the same narrow corridor Ian was met with ages ago, they finally reached Ted’s office.

*Knock knock*

With just two knocks, Rosy got permission to invite Ian in.

[...] “...I have been trying to contact you for two or three weeks now. But, you've been quite the busy man, Ian. I gotta tell you that, Murphy--your assistant, is a good choice that you've made. He knows what he does."

“Haha… Yeah, I know. He can be good at talking to people. He knows exactly when to say the right thing.”

“So, Ian. How have things been going for you?”

“Things have been going quite well lately. There have been so many good changes and everything. And, I completed the script for the next season. I was busy with this as well,” Ian said and placed the pile of papers on the table.

“Ah… Ah! You knew it! Good to know and good to see!” Tad riffled the papers and sighed in contentment.

“That sigh explains a lot,” Ian said and chuckled.

“I thought you’d be ignoring the meeting, Ian. Considering how good Lucifer has screened and how high our bars of profits per month went, I can’t afford to lose the deal, Ian.”

“Yeah, and you also know I’m not the man to dip like that. I want you to go through the script and let me know what you think. I made some changes to the script, keeping in mind most of the comments and reviews from the previous season. The main issue was how the plot of an episode kept recurring. So, I tried my best to avoid it this season. And, I think—-”

*Knock Knock*

“Uh excuse me, come in!”

“Am I late?” The head that peaked inside the office was none other than Marcello, the director of the movie.

“Of course not! Please come in!” Ted said in a loud, cheery voice making Ian’s eyebrows raise in question.

“Nice to meet you,” Ian said and shook hands with Marcello.

“Nice to meet you too kid, thank you so much for agreeing to come today. We were waiting for you for so long.”

That was when Ian remembered what type of a person he was. Marcello was someone who literally had beef with every newbie director/scriptwriter/actor or basically, a-n-y-o-n-e.

“Ah yes, I was busy with some stuff. I honestly wanted to say thank you for how well you’ve done with the first season of Lucifer. It is even trending in the most watched original series in the US. That is something which says a lot.”

Ian tried to appreciate what he did.

“Oh yes yes, I’m so aware. Is that the new script I see?” Marcello said looking at the table, it was almost as if he completely ignored Ian’s appreciation.

“Drop the act now, Marcello. The young man is new but more talented than many of us here. Give your first tough impression to anyone but him.”

Marcello nodded with a smile, his expression became lighter than before. Also, the environment felt new and friendly considering how less threatening Marcello became in a split second. “Ian Renner. From the description of the saying—hundred-to-one shot. And trust me, I’ll try my best to do a fair job with your script,” Marcello said and extended his hand again.

Ian took with a smile, “Here I thought, I’d be the last person to be pranked around here. And trust me, director Marcello, I know you would. But there are a few things I have to talk about regarding the script—”
