Maya was in a dream with these velvet blankets and a warm bed. She did not want to wake up anytime soon.She turned over, or tried to, but felt gentle hands pulling her close. The warm hands enclosed her and pulled her into a hard strong chest. She snuggled closer, embracing the warmth. She could feel a chin on her head, tucking her head between the gap in the neck and chest, like a perfect jigsaw piece. She took a deep breath, letting the scent intoxicate her.

She stretched her right arm out, wrapping it around the waist as she felt a hand on her lower back. It felt so good that when she rearranged herself on the bed, she ended up with her upper half on top. Somehow, it was more comfortable than sleeping on this soft bed. The chest was soft but hard, being the perfect pillow, while the rest of her just fit into him like a puzzle.

Suddenly, she felt a jerk and pull away. It was like the warmth escaped and she felt the cold air. She shivered, but only for a while before she felt the warmth return as the embrace came back. A finger traced her eyelid down to her nose and to her cheek.Maya stirred and the hand stopped its journey. She sighed, taking a deep breath and letting the sleep envelope her. She hadn't slept like that in ages.

She could hear a noise like an engine or horse gallop or something. Ooh its a heartbeat.

Why on earth can I hear a heart beat?

She opened her eyes, blinking a couple of times to clear her vision, and found herself looking at the curtains. Her neck cracked from sleeping in an immobile but comfortable position. She tried sitting up and realised she was spread all over Adhi

Oh my god! Sprawled like a blanket all over Adhi!

Well, this was very awkward. He was still asleep. His dark hair was ruffled messily and somehow she had used him as a human pillow, teddy bear or bed last night. Oh shit. She placed a hand on the bed to push herself, but to no avail. She realized that his hands were on her lower back, holding her in place.

He moved; she froze and stared at his face. The sun was just rising, its rays shining through the curtains and hitting his face and highlighting his perfect features. Some people are just so perfect. His eyes opened and he looked around before his eyes met hers. She felt her cheeks reddening in embarrassment.

"Morning," he said, closing his eyes again, still holding her in this frozen state.

Sometimes our body takeover ignoring all the commands from the brain. For maya today was that day. She pushed him away and rolled to the otherside only to fall over the edge of the bed to the cold hard floor.

"Maya!!!!" She registered adhi's shriek only when she fell on the floor. She saw a blanket flying and a laughing adhi ran over to her side.

"Are you okay??" He was trying hard to stop laughing but couldn't.

"Its not funny" Maya pouted but eventually gave in and the both erupted in laughter. Maya covered her face in embarasement.

Adhi pulled her to her feet and dusted her off. "No seriously are you okay?"

"Im fine. Let me see your hand."

She checked adhi's hand and the swelling had reduced since yesterday.

"The swelling is gone." Maya beamed.

"I told you it wasn't that serious." Adhi shook his hand and proved there is no pain.

"Okay. What time is it?" Maya looked for a wall clock but couldn't find one.

Adhi quickly checked his phone for the time. "Its 5 am." Adhi let out a yawn.

"I need to get going. I have to get in the hostel by 6. Thats when the guards change shifts."

"How do you know when the guards change shifts"?

"Because thats when we let in a drunk Taniya from her night outs."

"Clever clever girls" Adhi whispered and cupped maya's cheeks. He leaned in for a kiss but maya covered her own with her hand.

"I haven't brushed my teeth yet." Maya complained.

"Do i look like i care?" Adhi leaned in again.

"Ewwww nooo. At least let me wash it with water. Is there mouth wash?"

"In the bathroom" Adhi smirked and pointed her towards the bathroom direction.

Maya turned towards the bathroom but adhi wrapped his arns around her waist and pulled her towards him. He dipped his face to the crook of her neck and inhaled deeply. Maya's eyes fluttered close.

"Now you smell like me" Adhi said close to he ears which made her shiver. She turned around to face him.

"Can i keep the hoodie?" Maya asked with puppy eyes.

He sighed "Fine. Now go wash up." He turned her towards the bathroom and slapped her bum.They freshened up and changed adhi was taking her to the hostel. Maya called preethy and told her to be ready to sneak her in. They reached the hostel gate and as expected there was no guard. Preethys head poked through the gate and ushered maya to get inside.

"Please go to the hospital and check the hand okay?"

"I will. I promised you didnt i?" Adhi smiled.

"Okay then bye." Maya hugged adhi and he gave her a kiss on the forehead.

"Ohhh get a room" Preethi complained from behind the gate. Maya waved to Adhi and got inside the gate and rushed to get inside. Preethy was practically doing a naruto run.

When they got inside the hostel and placed the key back inside maya asked "Where is taniya?"

"She's not up yet. He's like a bear when she sleeps. I dont wanna wake her and face her wrath." They chuckled and got to their room. As soon as they entered maya saw Taniya fidgeting in her bag trying to find something.

"You're up? And its before 9 am. Thats a first." Preethi mumbled.

"What are you looking for?" Maya went to Taniyas side and sat beside her.

"Nothing" Taniya immediately shut her bag and turned towards maya. And gave her a soft smile. Maya congratulated taniya for her victory against jeeth. She smiled and thanked maya but she could tell that something was bothering her.

"Whats wrong? Why are you upset?" Maya wrapped her arm around taniyas shoulder.

"Nothing. Im fine" taniya shrugged.

"No youre not. She's been like this since yesterday morning after you left." Preethy complained.

"Whats wrong Taniya? Tell us"

"Its just that i have to move. Now that im back in the 2nd year i have to move in with my classmates."

Their faces fell. Taniya was right. She has to move in with her classmates. Only same year students are permitted in the same room.

"When do you have to move?" Preethy asked.

"Today" taniya whispered. She couldnt meet their eyes

The silence in that room was deafening. But it soon turned to sobs and crys. The girls hugged and cried for a long time. The offered help her pack but taniya refused and asked them to get ready for college. By 8.30 am the girls were ready. Taniya was packed and set. Her new room was a level above them. By 9am the girls left for college and taniya to her new room.

Maya couldnt help but notice the stares Taniya threw in her direction. It was almost sad, guilty. She must really like her. But as she and preethy walked through the stoned pathway to her college, she noticed that everyone was staring at them. Preethy too noticed but it was clear they werent looking at her. They were looking at maya.

"Guess the first date thing made you famous" preethy exclaimed.

"So creepy" maya sighed and moved towards their class.

The stares intensified as she reached the class.People started clicking pictures of maya too. Thats one hell of a reaction for a date.

A boy in their named Vishnu, whom preethy suspected that had a crush on maya, approached them and put his jacket over maya' head and pulled her and preethy towards the door.

"What the hell man?" Maya shouted and pushed him away from her. Shw could hear Preethi's protest from behind too. But he didnt budge and kept pulling her until they reached the old practice room. Then only he let her go.

"What is your problem?" Maya yeeted the jacket and threw it to his face.

"Im trying to help you bitch" Vishnu spat.

Maya froze. She saw preethi stiffening too. Vishnu shoved a phone to her face.

"Look." Maya looked at the phone and almost collapsed to the floor.

There, in the official facebook group of NLU had a video of Adhi and Maya making out on his bed. But it was edited and attached into video of someone else having sex. The caption was something extremely dirty and disgusting. Maya started shivering, her heartbeat rose and reached the everest in seconds. Seeing maya's petrified face preethy grabbed the phone for her hands and checked. Her eyes widened and she immediately closed the phone.

Tears started welling up in maya's eyes and collapsed on the floor and cried. Preethy and vishnu knelt beside her.

"This is not true. Nothing happened like that. We just kissed. Thats not us." Maya started blabbering in between her sobs. Tears streamed down her cheeks.

"I know its not you. We know its not you. But we cant convince all these people that." Preethy held her to her chest.

"Who took this video maya?" Vishnu asked "Did Adhi?"

"No!!" Maya shouted. "No he would never do that. It affects him too. Why would he do that to himself?"

"Then who did? Who all knew that you were with him?"

"Its just me and taniya. And we both were in the hostel. Anyone can vouch for that." Preethy said.

There was one more person. "Jeeth" both of them looked at maya "he knew."

"Ohh crap!" Vishnu got up and started pacing the room.

"How did he know?" Preethy jumped.

"He showed up at the date remember?"

"But how did he know that you were at adhi's house?"

"I dont know" . Maya looked up and saw vishnu looking through the video again and again.

"Dude. What the fuck are you doing?" Preethy said through clenched teeth.

"Im trying to see if we can find a clue of who shot this? "

"Why are you helping me?" Maya croaked. She's never even properly talked to this guy.

"I think you know the answer to that" Vishnu said looking maya dead in the eyes and he moved to the video again. Preethi's suspicion just became true. He had a crush on maya.He scrolled and scrolled through the video pausing and checking any sign of the cameraman behind this.

While vishnu was checking Maya called Adhi and informed him of the situation. She could only partially get the words out of her mouth because of her sobbing. So Preethi took the phone and informed him and asked him to come to them.Vishnu showed them the phone with a paused video snippet and there was a silouhette of the person shooting on the reflection of the window.

But they couldnt make out who it was so he continued searching and at last "There" he pointed to the video. It was between the first video end and the porn video start. When the camera angles down we could see a green glitter slipper.

They froze in their position. They realised the traitor was with them all this time. Maya looked at preethy and she was sweating. She knew who that slipper belonged to.

It was the same slipper wore the first day maya met her.
