"My mouth remained shut because I knew exactly what he meant."
The three of them stepped outside, away from everyone. We waited for an hour and they never returned. So William took me home and like the night before, he left a kiss on the forehead. Before he left though he reminded me of our adventure tomorrow, which is today, involving my lavender colored bath suit. I pulled the high waisted Jean shorts over my bottom piece, I threw on the hoodie, slipping my feet into slippers before grabbing my already packed bag and made my way downstairs where William was waiting for me in his white jeep.
"Hello, Darling," he smirks and immediately planted a kiss on my palm before driving away once I was secured next to him. "Where are we going?" I wondered. I had options so it had to be one of them. "To the beach, a specific spot at the beach," he stated with his lips pulled into a smile. The beach. It's been a while. The excitement only grew as we drove out of the pack and into the human city. The drive to his destination wasn't a boring one since we balanced out listening to music and talking.
I became anxious when William lets me know that we're here as we drove further down the small dirt path between the trees. I already could hear the tumbling of the waves as they raced to shore. William smirked at me before turning the corner and at the sight, I was speechless.
"Wow," I gasped as my eyes drank in the beauty in front of me. Nature is always the most beautiful thing. I followed William and unlocked the door, my slippers touched the golden brown sand and I wasted no time slipping out of them so I could feel the sand between my toes, even though it was hot. "Come on," William held his hand out for me at the front of the car and I took a few steps closer to him. We walked closer and closer to the beach until I noticed the coconut branch shed. Inside was tables and chairs neatly placed and of course, there were large metal food containers on the table.

"I had Mary cook us something and Jayden bought it over here," William enlightens me. "That's a lot of food..." I mumbled without thinking about it. William glared at me and I pretended to ignore him. "Let's go test the water," I changed the topic. "We have to take these off, don't we?" William remembered, referring to our clothes. I nod my head and shifted my feet so I was standing in front of him.
My eyes remained locked on his as I took off my hoodie, only blocking my eyes as I pulled it off my body for a split second before dropping the fabric on the sand. "Ev," William gulped hard at my exposed chest and torso. I already made it this far. Next, I pushed the button out of the loop and zipped the metal down before pushing it down my legs to reveal the matching bottoms. The lavender purple two-piece bath suit hugged my body perfectly. It exposed a significant amount of usually hidden skin, that's what drove William wild.
William only had to slip out of the blue tank top he wore to reveal his naked chest. there was only a chain around his neck, my eyes traveled down past the ring pendant, to his perfectly sculpted body. Training rewarded him well. Navy blue swimming shorts that ended above his knees hung dangerously low on his hips. "Fuck, I didn't think you would've looked so hot in this," he bluntly says, pulling me out of my dirty thoughts, and wrapped his hands around my waist. Our bodies pressed together felt extraordinary. William dipped his head into the crook of my neck as he inhaled my scent that drove him wild. "Mine," he shakingly says. "Mine," I repeated before pressing my lips to his temple.
"This was a bad idea, Ev," William groaned and dropped his hands as if I was on fire. My mouth remained shut because I knew exactly what he meant.

I was nothing compared to the depth of the water we were swimming in. The ocean is so much more powerful than one realized. It's a beautiful thing yet it can cause so much harm. It can captivate the mind and the body. "So tell me about your life at the GoldenCove pack, I wanna know everything about you," William says, his hands were still secured on my waist as my upper half floated horizontally on the water and my legs were wrapped around William's torso.
I sighed and thread my fingers through the water. "There wasn't much to me. I was a bitch. My parents tortured me for embarrassing them apparently and everything else you already know," I admitted to him for the first time. "So my suspicions were true," William softly say and pulled my hips so now I was facing him with my legs locked above his. "Yeah, I didn't have the best relationship with them but I loved them. I still love them because they were my parents. They are the reason I'm alive and yet they're the reason I could've died," I spoke my mind, the last part softer because I was still getting used to it.
"What happened that day?" William asked, dipping his head to the crook of my neck where he planted soft kisses on the skin. My nails gently dug into the name of his neck at how good that felt. "They tricked me and tortured me for hours in a cave, William. I don't want to speak about it. I could remember them saying they're gonna bury me and flea but that's the last thing before I woke up at the hospital basically," I rambled off. William kissed his way up to my lips, his lips hovered over mine, not making a move.
"Okay, I'll drop the topic. I promise I'll get justice for you alright? They nearly killed you, baby," he says before claiming my lips. The pet name rolled off his tongue so easily. All the negative thoughts of my parents disappeared into the nothings and everything was replaced by the sensations of kissing William. It became so easy to get carried away, we were too far out for the waves to bother us. All we felt were the bump as they pushed past us.
Before my lips parted at his wishes, I pulled away. "Please don't. They don't know I'm here and I'm good with that. I've escaped and I get to start over. I don't want to bring my past into my present," I breathlessly say, sliding my hands down to rest on his chest. "No promises," he mumbled before pressing a quick kiss to my forehead.
"Your turn," I changed the topic. William frowned and looked at the blue water instead of at me. "I wasn't a very nice person, Everest. I'm still not but I'm really trying. I...I hurt a really special girl, Rieka, and she forgave me I guess but...I don't know...um...yeah- it's hard..." William struggled. Rieka. There she is again. It only leads me into more suspense and curiosity but I decide against questioning it and ruining the topic. "Do you regret it?" I wondered instead.
His eyes found mine in a heartbeat. "Of course," William immediately says without another thought. "I want to know more but I won't press the topic," I truthfully revealed.
"Thank you."
