One morning, you woke up earlier than Hawks. He looked dead asleep face-first in his pillow, with only the rise and fall of his back letting you know how alive he was. You fought a mental battle with yourself on whether you should wake him up or not. The latter won so you dragged yourself out of bed and did whatever had to be done.
You made breakfast for two and left Hawks' food out for him later since he still hadn't woken up. You took a slow shower and lost yourself in the moment of water running down your body for possibly an hour or more. You cringed at the thought of the water bill but it easily slipped your mind when you grabbed an after shower snack.
By the afternoon, Hawks was still passed out on the bed while you were catching up on your shows. Your need for love and attention was already at its peak but you didn't want to disturb Hawks' slumber. He was a busy man and deserved his rest. But you also wanted his affection.
So you made a proposition with yourself.
You turned off the TV and left for the bedroom where he was still face first in his pillow. You carefully climbed onto the bed, so as not to wake him. You lifted his arm slowly and slithered your way into his arms. It would have been easier if you didn't have to lift the weight of his wing too.
You turned to face his sleeping face and pressed a small kiss on his lips impulsively. Seeing his sleepy face was too much for you to handle, and you couldn't wait for him to wake up so you can appreciate his awake self. Not that you had to wait long.
After your small peck, Hawks let out a groan of wanting to sleep more but he lazily peeked through one half-closed eyelid.

"Babybird?" His sleepy voice mumbled that sent shivers down your spine. Could you ever get used to that?
You didn't reply as you cupped his cheeks in your hands and pulled him in for another kiss. He didn't kiss back in his sleepy, unaware state and didn't seem to realize he was getting your kisses. He didn't even show any signs of waking up to fully acknowledge you. So you kissed him again and again, and again. You kissed his soft lips several times before his eyes finally opened wide.
You smiled at him as he raised a questioning brow. "Love of my life, my Songbird whom I love with all my heart, may I ask this one question?" He asked as he blinked the exhaustion away from his heavy eyelids.
"Yes, Keigo?"
He suddenly cupped your face in his hands and gave you a quick peck on the lips. "Will you please let me sleep in?"
"Absolutely not. I've waited all day for you to wake up and love me," you retorted as you placed your hands over his and stroked the back of his hands with your thumbs. "Please, Keigo? I'm bored without you," you pleaded as you tried to lean in and give him a kiss on the cheek.
"Babybird, with all due respect, I want sleep," he said as he reluctantly met you halfway and kissed you.
"And I want your love," you countered as you tugged his hands around you and scooted closer to hug him.
"Then let's sleep. It's dream time not love time," he said with closed eyes in a loopy, sleep-deprived voice. His arms lazily wrapped around you and allowed you to scoot closer. You could tell he was already drifting back to sleep, but you weren't going to let him just yet.

You pressed your body closer to his in a suggestive way that made his eyes shoot open. You noticed the twitch of his crimson wings and knew you caught his full attention. He looked at you only to witness you kiss him again and again.
"Give me your love," you demanded as you kissed his forehead.
"Okay, I'm awake," he admitted in defeat as he sat up and pulled you into his arms. He kissed your forehead and complained, "You're a pain in the ass right now, Kid."
You hugged him back as you smiled triumphantly and nuzzled closer to his body. "I know," you agreed as a comfortable sigh left your body.
