"So..... Where we going?"
"Cool."
"Oh please don't start with that again!"
"Oh you know. You and your stupid yup!!"

I didn't see the stairs so when I placed my foot down it went lower and I tumbled down the stairs. I grabbed unto the railing it flipped me on my stomach. My grip failed me and I slipped down the spiral stairs. Hitting my forehead on each stair.
'Oomph oomph oomph oomph oomph oomph oomph oomph oomph oomph'.
I finally got to the bottom. I have a headache now.
OOOWWWWW!!!! MY POOR FOREHEAD!!
"Ow!!" Get off of me!!!"
"Oh. Heehee sorry. I didn't see the stairs and I fell down them."
I saw a human girl in front of me.
"Are you ok?"
"Yea"
She didn't look at me yet she was dusting herself off.
"Are you ok?"
"Yea"
"What's your name?"
"Karai. Yours?"
Karai..... Didn't the shredder say somethinge about her.
"Mic- a... Midnight."
She turned around instantly
*GASP* "YOU'RE MIDNIGHT!?!?! OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG!!!! IVE BEEN WANTING TO MEET YOU EVER SINCE MY FATHER TOLD ME ABOUT YOU!!!"

*blushing* "Sorry. Are you okay?"
"Yea. You?"
"Yea."
"Midnight! Are you alright?!
"Yes. I am ok. So you're Karai. Shredder mentioned you."
"So where are you off to?"
"My new bedroom!!"
"OH! I can take you there! Bye Tiger claw!"
"Goodbye Karai. I'll see you later. Have fun with Karai, Midnight."
"I will. And thank you, Tiger claw for bringing me here."
"You are very welcome."

Was fun, was difficult, but in the end, it is a story I hope that will inspire. The prologue is in first person perspective and the rest of the story in 3d. Just a little heads-up :P It is a fantasy epic with a contemporary twist for the start. The first arc of the novel is set inside our modern world, but as the mysterious events around Calin intensifies, the hidden secrets in the world start to become more fantastical. The story follows Calin, a young orphan in search of answers. But, the answers he seeks will change his life and that of his friends forever, for the secrets that caused his situation have far greater ramifications than the small village of Lamb's Crest could have known.
