JACKIE'S POV

The bell rang and I sprinted out of the class. I don't know why I asked him to be friends.

I just couldn't shut my mouth.

Our closeness during the lecture bothered me. I know I shouldn't be feeling all these emotions. On top of that his cologne was just yum.

The smell of pine trees just made me dizzy but in a very good way.

My next class was English. And after a good five minutes I found the classroom and took a random seat.

People were staring at me and that made me feel so uncomfortable. Do they stare at every new student like this? Creepy.

Someone sat beside me pulling me out of my thoughts. I looked at that person and it was Zayn.

Zayn was good looking but Xavier was way hotter.

Wait.

Why am I comparing them?

Ugh.

"Hey Jackie" Zayn said winking at me. I blushed "Hey Zayn, I'm happy to know that I al least know someone here."

"Well Xavier told me that we shared a lot of classes."

"Oh. That's good right" I asked. "Very" he smirked.

"Well you should sit with us at lunch, I will introduce you to others" he said.

"There are more people in your group?" I groaned.

You see I'm a very shy girl and it takes a lot of courage for me to open up to people.And the fear of rejection just scares the living hell out of me.

"Don't worry J, they won't eat you. Plus I'm here to protect you right?" he joked.

I laughed at him and just then a man in his late 40's entered the class and started teaching.

After two more classes it was finally lunch.

I was actually surprised to see that Zayn and me shared four classes in total. So here I am, heading towards the cafeteria with Zayn.

He had his arms around my shoulder.

As soon as we entered I got even more nervous. Some people were throwing glares at me, some were looking at me curiously and a group of boys were checking me out.

Zayn scowled at the group of boys and they turned their attention away from me.

When we reached the table I saw a total of six people were there.

I couldn't recognize two of them but the others were Lily, Arnold, PJ and Xavier.

When the unknown girl saw Zayn's arms around my shoulder she frowned.

I felt someone burning holes in my head. So I turned around to see who it was and found Xavier glaring at the hand on my shoulder.

I shrugged Zayn's hand away and sat down beside him.

"Sit with me princess" Xavier ordered and I was stunned by his tone but that made me turn on so much.

"Jealous much buddy?" Zayn smirked. Xavier glared at him "Fuck off bro."

I shrugged and sat down beside Xavier.

PJ introduced me to the girl and the guy.

The girl was Bethany and the guy was Sean. Sean looked like a nerd but in a cute way. And I also caught him looking at Arnold every now and then.

And Bethany is like one of those Victoria's secret model. Gorgeous and perfect something I wasn't.

During the entire lunch Zayn flirted with me and I couldn't help but noticed Bethany and by the look in her face she looked sad.

Maybe she liked him? I will talk to her later to clear things out.

But Xavier was a totally different case. He was continuously clenching and unclenching his fists.

What was he getting so angry about?

"Hey sis, You gotta go home by yourself today. I've got soccer practice. I'm so sorry." PJ said smiling apologetically.

It's okay I'll manage by myself" I said. I don't want to be a burden on him by being so childish. I had to take responsibilities now.

"No problem bro I'll drop her" Zayn smirked at Xavier.

"No" Xavier said immediately that too a little harshly.

"I'll drop her off. Right princess?" I just nodded.

To be honest I wanted to spend time with Xavier and wanted to get to know him better.

Zayn put his arms up in surrender "All yours bro."

I am pretty damn sure I heard Xavier mumbling lowly 'damn right' or was I guess I was hallucinating.

Right?
