《The Last Set || Sugawara x Reader ||》"We Are a Team, Got it?!"

I don't know how to feel. Shock? Surprised? Overwhelmed?! I don't know what to be more appalled about. That Suga just announced that I am the MANAGER? Or that Kageyama is here and hates my guts? Or that MIKA JUST KILLED 3 DUDES?
You stand there with cold sweat running down your back and forehead. In sudden realization you help Suga up from the floor, dusting off his shirt.
"I'm so sorry about her" you look down at your feet in embarrassment. Before you could accept his forgiveness, you run to Mika to hold her back from pouncing on Kageyama.
"MIKA THAT'S ENOUGH!" you screech trying to hold back your incredibly strong best friend. Your shoes are being dragged against the floor as your weight isn't enough to anchor her.
"LISTEN YOU DOUCHE BAG! WHY ARE YOU EVEN HERE? SHOULDN'T YOU BE AT ONE OF THE ELITE SCHOOLS? OH THATS RIGHT, YOU COULDN'T GET IN BECAUSE OF YOUR 'ROYAL ATTITUDE'." Mika's neck veins were popping out as she yelled at Kageyama.
This seemed to trigger Kageyama as he escaped the bald headed dude's grip and he swung his arms at Mika. Mika's fast reflexes allowed her to dodge his fists with ease.
"WHY YOU LITTLE!" Mika grabbed Kageyama by the collar of his shirt. They were at eye-level growling at each others faces.
"THATS ENOUGH!!!!!" You screamed at the top of your lungs. Gasping for air, you'd never thought you'd be this loud ever in your life.
This caused everyone to stop and look at you. You inhale a deep breath and exhale,
"Please just stop" you say with your hands in tight fists. Your nails dig into your palms. The ringing in your ears seem to be getting louder and louder.
Gah my head hurts.
Suga turned to you with a concerned look.
"I don't know what's going on, but would both of you stop fighting for two seconds!" Suga announced. He pointed at Mika and Kageyama with a serious look on his face. You'd never thought you'd see Suga this mad. You didn't think it was possible for him to be mad considering he's so kindhearted. Mika let go of Kageyama's collar and his feet landed on the floor.

Kageyama pushed Mika away and muttered, "Sorry". He then turned around and grabbed a volleyball from one of the nearby trolleys. He squeezed the volleyball in his hands. He still seemed pissed.
"Hey come back here. I'm not finished yet." Suga demanded.
Kageyama came back to the circle of people, still grasping the volleyball in his hands. His had a solemn look in his eyes with his lips forming into a straight line.
"Okay everyone, I'd like you all to take a seat around me." Suga clapped his hands together.
"What is this, elementary school?" Tanaka snorted.
"I SAID SIT!" Suga shouted, pointing to the ground.
Woah. Suga be angryyy.
Immediately, everyone sat down in a semi-circle around Suga's feet. You sit down near Mika, who sat far away from Kageyama as possible. There followed that flirty bald dude, that orange headed boy and then Kageyama. You make eye contact with Kageyama and he quickly looks away. His eyes shift to the gym walls and everything else but your face.
Well he still hates me from middle school that's for sure.
"Ah hem." Suga cleared his throat and pulled out a piece of paper from his track shorts.
"So, as you can see we have new people here joining us at the volleyball club." He read the paper.
"You must be Kageyama Tobio." He pointed at the dark haired boy who looked like he was about to murder the volleyball in his hands.
"And you must beee, Hinata Shoyo" Suga continued moving his finger as it stopped at the short boy with the bright eyes. The boy nodded happily as his criss-crossed legs were bouncing up and down.
"I know we got into a rough start, but welcome to the Karasuno Volleyball Club! I'm Suga and I'm a setter, and this is Tanaka-kun, he's our wing spiker." Suga pointed at the bald dude.
Tanaka-kun, more like the perverted man child. You avoid Tanaka's eye's when Suga announced his name. Suga continued,
"I would also like to introduce our new manager, (F/N)."
You died a little inside when he announced that. You felt a warm sensation creep up onto your face.

"I didn't agree-"
"I'll do it with her!" to your surprise Mika interrupted you with her arm raised high in the air.
She never lets me finish my sentence!
"Er- um well two managers would be nice." Suga said with a smile. That smile shut you up. You turn to Mika staring at her dead in the eyes saying 'oh you're going to pay for that'.
"Well that settles it! Welcome to the team! And you are?"
"Mitsuki-san. But you can call me Mika!" Mika beamed. She shined that attractive smile and you notice Tanaka swooning over her.
Psh, as if you pervert.
The creaking sound of the gym door startled you as another boy enters the gymnasium. He had big broad shoulders, dark brown hair that was slightly messy, but in a nice way and a smile that lit up the room.
"What did I miss?" the boy asked all cheerful. He placed his duffle bag near the bench and approached the group.
"Ah, just on time. This is Sawamura Daichi. He is our captain of the club and he's a wing spiker as well." Suga gestured to the boy.
"Haha, hello everyone! Nice to see new faces. You can just call me Daichi!" Daichi's gaze falls on you and you couldn't help but blush.
Daichi, Daichi... why does that sound so familiar? You're lost in thought until you hear Kageyama speak,
"Excuse me Suga, but shouldn't our managers know how to play volleyball? This one doesn't even play anymore."
He points at you with his non-injured finger.
"Dude enough with the pointing." Tanaka grumbled slapping Kageyama's hand away.
"You should be nicer to girls you know. That's why you don't have a girlfriend." Hinata teased, making Kageyama grab Hinata by the neck. Kageyama started rubbing that orange head furiously with his knuckles.
"OW. KAGEYAMA CUT IT OUT!" Hinata exclaimed, trying to escape his death grip.
"She still knows how to play you idiot!" Mika shouted, rolling her eyes at Kageyama.
"Show them your special quick attack (F/N)! That'll shut him up" Mika gestured towards you as the ball Kageyama was previously holding rolled towards you. It stopped as it gently hit your knee.
You pick up the ball in fear. When was the last time I've held a volleyball.
"It's okay (F/N), you don't have to prove anything. We as a team, are always learning on the way." Suga looked down at you with his kind hazel eyes. For some reason that motivated you to fight for yourself. You quickly stood up making everyone look up at you. The volleyball was in your right hand and you hold the ball up to Suga's face.
"Suga, set for me." you say bravely. For once you didn't stutter.
"Oh." he said surprised. Everyone held the same expression.
"Well I guess I can since everyone has been introduced." He chuckled. He folded the applicant paper's in his hand and handed it to Daichi.
"What the hell! Why didn't you chose me to set for you!" Kageyama blurted out. You stare down at him irritated.
"Your finger is sprained. I think Mika did enough damage to you." you state, flicking your ponytail back over your shoulders. You cross your arms and stared into those hatred-filled eyes.
Kageyama looked down at his finger as it turned slightly purple.
"Curse you, Mika" the setter muttered to himself
"I'll toss the ball!" Mika got up from the floor and took the ball from your hands. Mika smirked and gave you the same expression she had when you played together in middle school. Determination was written all over her face.
"Ooh, Ooh, Oooooh can I receiveeee???" Hinata pleaded. You nodded at him as everyone started to approach the centre of the court.
Daichi, Tanaka and Kageyama were all sitting on the sidelines. Daichi had a confused look in his face.
"Seriously, did I miss something?" Daichi said to his teammates.
Everyone got into position. You were further down the court; Mika and Suga were near the net both facing each other.
"Ready (F/N)?" Mika said holding the volleyball. You looked at Suga and he gave you a nod. You declared,
