Aidan's P.O.V

I wake up to my mother's voice on the other side of the door. I look over at May and see she's still sleeping peacefully.

I walk over and open the door to find my mum smiling brightly at me.

"Good morning mum. What's up?" I ask her.

"Well Bella and I decided we were going to go out for the day and your dad and May's dad would come too and the rest of the pack are all going and doing their own thing for the day so I was wondering if you could look after your brother?" She says quickly.

"Of course mum. You go and enjoy you day out. Nate will be fine with May and I." I say, smiling at her.

"Thanks sweetie. I knew I could count on you." She says kissing my cheek before leaving me.

I close the door and crawl back in to bed beside May and pull her close.

"Who was at the door?" She asks sleepily.

"Just my mum saying her, my dad and your parents were going out for the day and your pack are going out too and she asked if we could babysit Nate for her."

"Did you say yes?" She mumbles, cracking one eye open to look at me.

"Yea. I hope you don't mind." I say quickly.

"Of course I don't. I love your little brother." She says smiling, still with one eye open.

We hear the front door open and close then the door to May's room opens.

I look over to see Nate standing in the doorway in his buzz light year pjs.

He runs over and jumps up on the bed and sits beside me.

I chuckle and look at May who's eyes are shut again.

"Aidan?" Nate whispers loudly.

"Yea bud?" I ask him.

"Is May sleeping?" He asks, still whispering.

"No, she's just resting her eyes." I say while bringing her closer to me and laying her head on my lap (I'm sitting up now).

May cracks her eyes open and smiles at Nate.

"Hi May." He says, smiling a huge smile at her.

"Hi Nate." She says, sounding sleepy.

"Nate, how about we go and get you changed and let May get up in peace." I say gently laying May's head on the pillow.

"Ok." He smiles then drags me out of the room by my hand.

We walk in to the room he's in and I grab him out a pair of comfortable long pants and a long sleeve black top.

I help him put these on then head downstairs to make breakfast.

After a few minutes in which I start making waffles, May comes down wearing 3/4 grey sweatpants and a fitted black long sleeve top. Her hair is up in a high ponytail.

She walks in to the kitchen and wraps her arms around my waist from behind and kisses my cheek.

Without saying a word May makes 3 hot chocolates and chops up some fruit to have with the waffles, mostly strawberries.

We plate up the food and place it on the table.

We take a seat and dig in to the food. The waffles taste amazing if I do say so myself.

"Aidan the waffles are really good." May says, kissing my cheek before starting to clear the dishes.

Nate and I help take the plates in to the kitchen but she then shoos us off saying that she can clean up the rest. I would have objected but Nate dragged me off to go and watch Cars.

I hear clattering in the kitchen and I leave Nate on the couch and walk in to see May just putting the last of the stuff away.

"I should have helped." I mumble to myself mostly but May hears too.

"Nope. You cooked so it's fair that I cleaned up. Besides, Nate wanted to watch Cars with his big brother." She says wrapping her small arms around my waist.

I smile at her but still feel slightly bad for not helping.

May takes my hand and we walk back in to the lounge and sit down on the couch.

I sit down and pull May over so she sits on my lap and wrap my arms around her.

"May?" Nate says, looking away from the TV.

"Yea?" She asks him, looking over at him.

"Can I sit on your lap?" He asks shyly.

"Of course you can." She says, smiling warmly at him.

She slides off my lap and sits close beside me and lets Nate climb on to her lap.

He settles himself with his back against her chest and holding both of her hands on his lap.

I smile at them and wrap my arm around May's waist.

I look down at my chest and see I'm shirtless so I run up to May's room and pull on my short sleeved black top then run back down and sit on the couch again.

When the movie finishes Nate, May and I all head outside to play tag.

May and I go easy on Nate and Nate tags me. I set my sights on May and run at her.

She smirks when she sees me running at her and sprints away. She's really fast. I eventually tag Nate instead and he runs and tags her.

She looks at me and runs at me.

I run away and hide at the edge of the woods. I look and see May's disappeared.

I walk out slightly and see Nate looking around confused.

"Where did she go?" He asks.

"Not sure bud."

Suddenly I feel a slight weight on my back and turn to see May perched on my back.

"Tag." She whispers in my ear then kisses my cheek and hops off my back.

I wrap my arm around her waist and pull her close. Nate runs over.

"Can we play hide and seek now?" He asks excitedly.

"Sure buddy. Who wants to be in?" I ask looking at May then at Nate.

"Not it." May and Nate say at the same time.

"I guess I'm it then. Inside and outside. I'll start counting" I say, sighing.

I place my hands over my eyes and count to 60.

"Ready or not here I come!" I yell.

I take a quick look around the garden then head inside. I check in the family room and the lounge then look in the kitchen.

"Where are you?" I yell.

I hear giggling coming from the pantry and walk over and open it to find Nate.

"Found you." I say, letting him out.

"How did you find me?" He asks pouting.

"I took a wild guess." I say, chuckling. "Where did May hide?"

"I don't know, I fink she went upstairs but I could be wrong. I hid in the pantwy swaight away."

"Let's look upstairs then."

We both head upstairs and head in to May's room to look. Nate looks under the bed while I look in the bathroom and the wardrobe.

I close the wardrobe door and walk over to Nate who is still looking under the bed.

"Let's look downstairs again."

We head out and I notice a note on May's door that's written in her neat writing.

You won't find me ;) xxx

I laugh at this and slip the note in my back pocket and mutter to myself "wanna bet?"

We walk down the stairs and search the whole bottom floor for 20 minutes but still no sight of her.

I then notice another note stuck to the door that leads to the lounge that looks the same as the one in my back pocket.

If you want to find me just say you give up ;) xxx

"Yea right May." I yell, knowing that wherever she is she, she will have heard.

I slip this note in my back pocket and start just looking for the notes.

I find another one on the stair rail.

Give up yet? xxx

I smile when I see the 'xxx'.

"Not likely. We will find you May." I yell.

I notice another note stuck to the stair rail.

Not likely sweetheart ;) xxx

I chuckle and stick this in my back pocket too.

I keep looking for another note and find on stuck to one arm of the couch in the lounge.

Need a hint? xxx

"Yes please!" I yell.

I find another note stuck to the coffee table.

I'm in the place you would never think to look. xxx

I look around and still can't figure out where she's hiding.

I find another note stuck to the fridge.

You have literally walked past me like a hundred times. xxx

I groan and walk back to where Nate is standing in the family room only to find yet another note stuck to the TV.

Still haven't given up? I'm impressed by your stubbornness. How about now? Feel like giving up? xxx <3

"Just one more look." I yell.

I check behind curtains and even go as far as to move the big cushions on the couch.

"Ok I give up." I yell.

I find another note right in the middle of the TV. Don't know how I missed it but oh well.

Go and stand at the bottom of the stairs. xxx

I do and turn and look in the door way, expecting to see May appear.

I feel a hand on my back and turn to see May, standing right in front of me.

I jump and rest my hand on my heart.

"You almost gave me a heart attack." I say, frowning slightly.

She smiles sheepishly and pecks my lips.

I kiss her back and wrap my arms around her, our kiss turns from and innocent peck to a heated make-out session.

We pull back to catch our breath and Nate comes running to us.

"May your are like da best at hide and seek. We couldn't find you anyweaw." He says smiling at her.

"Aww thanks. That's very sweet." She says, smiling warmly at him.

"I'm in." He yells the puts his hands over his eyes and starts to count.

I take May's hand and sprint, knowing that Nate can actually only count to 10. So he'll probably say: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 60.

We run over to the stairs and May pushes a panel which reveals a door to a small room. The room has a couch, a TV, a bookshelf and some pillows and blankets in the corner.

"So this is where you were hiding and how you could put out the notes without me noticing." I say, walking in behind her.

"Yep, my parents had this built for me when I was young, it was kind of like my escape. Some days I would even sleep in her. No one knew about it except my parents but they only came in here if they really badly had to. They let this just be mine." She explains.

"That's so cool. But does that mean I'm one of the only ones that knows about this place."

"Yep. You should be honoured."

I kiss her cheek and smile at her.

"I am honoured." I say.

"Good." She says smiling then pecks me on the lips.

May turns and touches one of the panels on the wall and the opening closes.

I walk over and sit on the couch. May comes and sits down beside me and I pull her close.

She brings her knees up and snuggles closer.

"Is it sound proof?" I ask when picking up the TV remote.

"Yep." She says, pinching the remote and turning on the TV.

She flicks it on to the movie channel. The movie playing is The Heat.

It's pretty hilarious to say the least.

After a while we head out of the room to find Nate sitting on the couch.

"He Nate. Did you give up?" I ask him.

"Give up on what?" He asks, tilting his head to the right slightly in confusion.

"On finding us!" I say chuckling.

"I was finding you?" He asks, even more confused.

"Buddy, we were playing hide and seek remember?" May asks him, sitting on the couch beside him.

"Oh, yea. Oops." He says, smiling sheepishly.

"You forgot to come find us?" I say, chuckling.

"Maaybe." He says, dragging out the a.

I look at the clock on the wall and see that it's past lunchtime.

"I'm hungry. Let's have some lunch." I say, taking May's hand and walking to the kitchen.
