Nate’s POV

I woke up my angels in my arms and smiled reaching for the necklace that has always been around my neck around froze. I had it when I crossed the border! Where is it! I got out of bed careful not to wake Stef up and started throwing things around my room. I didn’t realize she had woke up. “What’s wrong?” she asked me. “My mother’s necklace I can’t find it. How could I have forgotten it! I’m scoping the woods for it. go find Alex let him know I lost it and I want him watching out for you. or just stick with your brothers. I’ll be home by dark.” I told her and ran out of the house and into the woods I traced my steps through the time I’ve been here. I saw Alex run beside me as we got closer to the border. Ii smiled when I saw the necklace I transformed and pulled it on. I saw a very familiar girl running at me I gasped when I saw Anna running at us. She jumped the boarder and crawled over to Alex and passed out in her feet. I looked at my twenty four year old best friend. And snarled at the wolf who had been chasing her. you see when I denied the bitch she took Anna as a punishment. Alex transformed and picked Anna up. he felt for a heartbeat and nearly cried from happiness. “Anna baby wake up sweet heart.” He cried as we carried her back to the pack house.

Andy the pack doctor walked out and smiled at me and smiled at us. “She’s fine a bit traumatized. But fine.” He told us Alex sighed in relief. “Thank God.” he walked into her room max just glared at him she still assumed that Anna’s his daughter. “Relation to you?” Andy asked. “She’s my family. I have to see her.” I told him he nodded and let us in.

Anna smiled when she saw me I ran over to her and hugged her. “Uncle Nate!” she yelled giving me a kiss on the cheek I looked at Stef who was watching us. Her dad wasn’t here yet. I smiled at Anna. “Sweetie I found my mate.” I told her. she smiled and looked at Stef showing off the scar her father had given her on the left side of her face. It ran from her ear to her chin. Anna gasped looking at it and ran over to us. “Are you okay sweetie? Who did this to you?” she asked Anna worried. “My daddy did that and the pack did the rest.” Alex snared. “Was that who was chasing you?” she nodded. “Andy was chasing me.” “Andy?” he asked and cracked his knuckles. “Next time I see my brother he’s going to die.” Stef looked at me. “I’m going to talk to Stef Anna. I’ll be back sweetie.” I told Anna and kissed her forehead. She smiled and leaned onto Alex more. I smiled and took Stef to our room and set her down on the bed. “Stef it’s time I told you more about my and Alex’s packs.”

Stef’s POV

“I come from a royal bloodline pack.” he told me I opened my eyes wide there were only two pack s left. “Which one?” I asked him. “Both.” He whispered. Ohh. No wonder. “so your parents got kicked out for being mates.” I stated he nodded. “They killed my mother and my father killed himself not long after. Alex had to drag me away it was the day we met. both of us running. He was running from some rouges he cheated money off of to feed himself and Anna. We fought our way out and I ran back to my parents. My mother was already dead. I begged my dad not to kill himself. He said he had to.” Nate was crying. I hugged him. “He knew I could take care of myself. He was in pain. I know this now. I didn’t for years. but I can’t stand the thought of you not being by my side.” He laughed darkly. “I know I would kill the bastard who took you from me. back to Alex. His back was cruel to women. They beat and nearly killed every female. Raped women when they were old enough to have children.” Oh my. “Alex almost got killed for protecting quite a few woman. He was the reason most of them weren’t dead. His father was alpha. But his older brother got the gene. When Anna came around he ran after his father nearly killed her.” he sighed. “We took care of Anna together. she’s my reason for quieting drinking, drugs and smoking.” He told me running a hand through his hair. He held up his arm and I saw faint scars. “And cutting. They were never deep so you can’t see most of them anymore I usually have to show someone or they have to stare to see it now. so sweet and innocent. She had no idea. When she heard me and Alex fighting about it she ran up and hugged me asking why I was hurting myself. I just said I was hurting and in pain. She laughed and asked why I wanted to be in more pain then. Making me realize she was right ad I was being an idiot.” He told me I hugged him tight and let him cry into my shoulder. I was crying to.
