Chapter 6
*Savannah's POV*
I sat up straight in my bed while sweat caked my forehead and palms. I sighed and got out of bed to take a shower and get ready for school. I turned on the warm water and walked into it. I closed my eyes as the water rolled down my back letting a couple tears fall.
I miss her, I miss her so much, I barley knew her and I missed her this much. The memory of her passed out on the nurses bed kept replaying in my mind. She was so beautiful, I never put much thought in it till then. I shook my head and finished my shower and walking down the stairs.
I saw my father reading the paper, I noticed the little grey in his hair from age it made me smile a bit. The big bad Alpha is getting old.
"Honey how are you doing?" my mother said from our kitchen. Our house was pretty big and old, the floors were marble and I remember sliding around on them when I was a pup not able to get traction. I walked up to the island and sat down on a stool.
"Yeah." I said in a small voice. I saw the worried look on her face. She should be worried, I found my mate and then she goes and runs away into the forest.
My father sent out patrol to look for her but they lost her scent in some meadow miles away. I felt tears coming but I held them back. Alpha's don't cry, unless their alone.
I felt someones hand on my back and I looked and saw my Dad looking down at my with a smile. "We'll find her."
That made me smile because when he got the call from Taylor's parents about her being my mate they freaked out about the whole girl girl thing.
After I forced a piece of toast down my throat I left for school. I haven't been able to eat for the past three days sense she left.
I walked into first period and sat in my seat next to Marcus, Ashley, and Corey. The whole pack knows about Taylor and I because my parents and my friends have been acting like I didn't want to be her mate, and I did I want her more then anything. The three were laughing about something I didn't care about. I glanced over at the empty seat where my mate sits. I miss seeing her brown hair and her light brown eyes when she'd glance at me, her clothes she wore, she didn't care about what was in style and I loved that because I'm the same. I wear a t-shirt and a pair of jeans. But what I miss most is her scent the smell of fresh air blowing through the forest, I smiled to myself.

"You thinking about that freak again?" Marcus asked, and the other two laughed. I growled at him and he put up his hands in surrender. I looked away to the board. "Nothing like beauty and the beast." he smirked.
I stood up and grabbed his shirt by the collar and punched him in the face twice I felt his nose crack and I let go of him and he sank into his seat.
"Don't you ever fucking talk about her again!" I yelled at him. I looked and the whole class was staring. I grabbed my bag and stopped at the teacher. "I'm sorry." I said and walked out of class and went to the bathroom. I shut the door and looked under the two stall doors and saw no feet so I let my tears flow.
I walked and looked in the mirror and held the sink to support my weight as I let it all out. I miss her so damn much. I need her, my heart hurts without seeing her. I need to find her, she needs to be with me. I dont care how wrong it is in the elders eyes, she is my soul mate and I need her back.
I dug my fingers into the sing. How could that ass hole say something like that. I was so pissed. I started growling and it was a loud mean growl. I looked at myself in the mirror and brought my right hand back making a fist and punched my reflection making the glass shatter.
Shit...
I looked at my hand and there was glass sticking out of it. Fuck, I looked around to see what I have. Blood dropped on the floor and all around me starting a small pool I went and sat on the floor watching the blood. "I deserve this." I thought to myself. I let her get away and this is my punishment.
I heard the door open and a girl named Alison walked in. She stopped when she say me.
"Holy shit, Savannah are you okay?" she ran toward me and sat on the ground looking at my hand. "I need to get the nurse." she said and started to get up.

"No." I yelled and she stopped. Sometimes it was nice to have be the Alpha female.
"Miss. River's you need medical attention." she said looking at the glass.
"No, I'm fine." I said and stood up. I felt my head rush and I sank back to the floor. I looked at the blood and I was covered in it. Alison was kneeling in a pool of it. I looked up at her and she looked very worried. I sighed. "Get me a bunch of that paper towel." I said.
She stood and did as I said. I grabbed a couple. "Clean the floor." I said and she began to wipe up my blood. I looked at my hand and I saw three large shards of glass in my hand and the rest of my knuckles were covered in blood. I knew it was bad. Down to the bone bad. I closed my eyes and let out a sigh. I need to do this before I pass out or get passed the shock and the pain starts.
I grabbed one of the pieces and Alison stopped wiping the floor and watched me. I started to tug on it and it hurt like hell. I stopped and sighed. "I can do this." I said in my head. I grabbed it and yanked it out. "Ahh!" I screamed and Alison grabbed the glass I pulled out. It was about four inches long.
I was breathing heavy trying to catch my breath as I closed my eyes. "Only two more." I grabbed another, my hands were shaking badly.
"Do you want help?" Alison asked.
"Yes, count down from three." I said.
She hesitated. "Three....two.." I tightened my grip. "One." I yanked it out and this piece was about three inches. It hurt just as bad and I whimpered in pain. I was breathing heavy but didnt care.
"Again." I said.
"Savannah you should catch your breath."
"Again." I said again in a rough shaky voice.
"Three....two..." I tightened my grip around the last piece. "One." I pulled it out and it was about the same at the first.
I dropped my hands and closed my eyes breathing. The pain in my hand hurt so bad. If I was human I would have passed out from it, I opened my eyes and saw Alison try and clean my hand, I moved it away.
"No it's okay, I got this. You have done enough. Thank you." she stood and helped me up and slung my bag on my shoulder. "Give me a piece of paper and I will write you a note so you can go home."
She ripped out a piece of paper and wrote some sloppy words with my write hand and signed it. I got a some blood on it and I apologized.
"It's okay Miss. River's I just hope we find your mate." she smiled at me and I smiled back thanking her.
I called my mom and she picked me up. When I got home she got the rest of the glass out and poured alcohol on it to clean it then bandaged my hand. I began to cry and went to my room and into my bed. I heard my mom follow.
"Honey we need to talk about-" she started to say but I cut her off.
"No mom what I need is my damn mate," I said through my tears. "I need Taylor mom, I know she's a girl but get over it, I'm going to be with her no matter what!" I yelled, I have never yelled at her. I layed in bed and sobbed. My mom left and my hand and head was pounding in pain. I shut my eyes and somehow drifted off into sleep.

What if you lived in the world of your own creation? As fate would have it, our dear amateur novelist, Ellie, was reborn into the world of her fantasy novel after falling asleep at her computer. Will Ellie save the village (and herself) to risk changing the fundamentals of her novel? Will she instead let the story run its course and leave everyone in the village to their deaths? Disclaimer: This novel is a work in progress and will be updated hopefully at least once a week. Expect minor mistakes (maybe some typos and punctuation errors) since this is the very first draft. The author suffers from perfectionism and impostor syndrome and therefore attempts to use this as sort of a therapy to break away from perfectionism and self doubt. Basically, the author employs a “I don’t care anymore and screw this trash work” mindset just to get stuff rolling and not set any expectations. Basically, basically, the author just wants to write something and not care about planning and quality and all those nice things about writing a GOOD novel since it’s counterproductive. Kthxbye. ps: Thanks for even reading this trash work pps: You’re not trash for reading this trash work btw ppps: Thanks I love y’all so much Shout out!
