《The 8th Member | BTS》[22]

Normani's POV
I squealed in excitement as the scrambled eggs I was making came out perfectly. I scraped the cheesy eggs onto the plate that was placed on the counter with other foods.
I was making breakfast for the boys today, knowing how stressed Joon may be I was doing anything that would make him stress free, or just help him out with his "THE MAIN RAPPERS OF BTS & BLACKPINK ARE BACK TOGETHER!" situation.
After word got out I didn't take long for it be in every headline on the news, social media, etc.
I honestly felt bad for him. But I know Joon, there's no way he'd ever agree with those allegations specially if it wasn't true.
I turned off the stove, placing the frying pans and pots I used to make breakfast into the sink.
I turned around after hearing footsteps enter from the living room, there I turned to see Jin stretching and yawning.
He glanced at me in confusion, I turned around slightly smiling, "Morning" I say.
"What's all this?" He asks in confusion. Knowing I never made breakfast or anything for any of them to eat in the 4 months I've been here.
"Breakfast. Now that I think of it I never cooked for you guys before, so I thought why not go all out"
I watch as Jung-Kook and Tae walk into the kitchen as well, most likely from just waking up.
"Good Morning" I smile.
"You made a lot of food" Tae says while rubbing his eyes.
"I didn't know whether you guys liked just eggs and bacon, or pancakes and eggs or just fruit or something easy like cereal or sausage or rice with it so I just made it all", I explain to the three of them who walked around the counter top observing the different types of food.
"I want to try", Jung-Kook says after taking a bite of the seasoned sausage I made.

Jin and Taehyung waited for his reaction, I stood there impatiently.
"Well?" I ask leaning forward after he swallowed. He turns to Jin and Tae nodding his head, and applauding to my cooking skills.
I smirk. I didn't expect anything other then that knowing my skills, my mother taught me how to cook ever since I was young.
"Go wake Yoongi, Jimin and Hoseok" The eldest members told the youngest member.
Jung-Kook nodding walking out the kitchen, "I'll wake Joon" I tell him.
"Joon? He left already"
I turn around to see him already fixing his plate, "left?" I ask raising my eyebrow.
"Yeah. He had a meeting with a couple of producers this morning and a interview about him and Lisa"
The words came out his mouth and I wished it didn't. In fact I wish I didn't mention Joon all.
"Oh" I respond awkwardly.
"yeah. He said he'll be back later" Jin tells me before making himself a plate of food.
I nod.
Moments later the rest of the boys walked into the kitchen, "who ordered all this food?" Yoongi asked those standing around.
"We didn't order. Mani cooked" Taehyung says grabbing a sausage and placing into his mouth.
"Cooked? You can cook?"
My eyes quickly jot to Jimin who asked the very stupid question. I was taken back by his words. It sounded as if he was doubting me, which he was.
"Don't sound surprised. I have you know I'm a very good cook. I learned from the best" I tell him seriously but jokingly.
"Enough of talking... I'm hungry" J-hope says making himself a plate.
After getting our plates we all gathered around the dining room, we sat there like a happy family eating. For the first time in a long time it felt like I belonged.
I mean I've always questioned my place in BTS, but now I question no more. I need these boys just like they some what need me.

We lift each other, support one other, and can count on each other when times get rough, and that's what BTS is about. If you ask me BTS isn't just a band. BTS is a family.
A family I'm so happy to be apart of.
"So what's going on with you and Joon?" The voice of Yoongi ask bringing me out my
thoughts, and bringing attention to me. Also causing me to choke on my orange juice.
I look up to see the boys either looking at me, or trying to avoid contact with me while eating their food.
After swallowing hard, I wiped my mouth with my hand placing my cup down, "What do you mean?" I ask him.
"You know what I mean" He responds without looking at me as he cuts his sausage before placing half of it in his mouth.
Do I? Do I really?
"There's nothing going on" I answer honestly looking around to see the expressions on all their faces change almost immediately.
"Why? Did he say that something was going on between him and I" I continue.
"He didn't have to say anything. We all see how you guys are around each other, especially after everything that happened at the BigHit & JYP party" Yoongi says speaking as if it were just him and I at the table.
When it wasn't. Everyone expect from Joon was there which made this conversation as awkward as it could get.
"Well, anyone want more eggs?" J-hope asks about to get up from the table looking around.
"Me" I hear Taehyung say almost rushing to get out of his seat, and away from this awkward conversation.
I turn to Jung-Kook was almost finished with his food, "hey.. uh— Jookie... help me find that thing I was talking about the other day" Jimin says making an excuse to exit the table.
"Find what?" Jung-kook ask in confusion oblivious that Jimin was lying and wanted Jung-Kook to lie with him.
Jimin rolls his eyes and smacks Jung-Kook upsides the head and grabs him by the arm pulling him out of his chair and out of the dining room.
J-hope, Tae, Jung-Kook and Jimin walk back to the kitchen, leaving Suga, and Jin.
Jin looked at both Yoongi and I as he continued to eat his food.
I sigh, placing my fork down finding myself not with an appetite anymore.
"Joon and I have decided to just remain friends"
"Did you both agree on that? Or did you decide that on your own?" Jin says knowing too well that Joon would never agree to anything like that especially if he likes me.
"We both did" I lied.
"Interesting" Yoongi says seeing right through me.
I was about to say something when I felt my phone buzz meaning I was getting a incoming call.
I pulled myself out of the chair bringing the phone to my ear, and walking out the dining room.
"Normani!!" The voice of my overly excited manager yelled into my ear causing me to pull the phone away from my ear.
I rolled my eyes in annoyance, placing the phone back.
"hey" I forced a excited tone.
"I'm sending the limo over in thirty. You have a solo interview about your position as the eighth member in BTS" he tells me.
Solo Interview.
I sigh, "okay" I respond.
"Don't forget to promote your single Dancing With A Stranger with Sam that will be coming out this Friday, along with the music video " he tells me.
I almost forgotten about that song. I've written and recorded so many songs before leaving America to come to Korea.
"Okay" I respond unsure how to respond to that.
"Yeah. So I'll see you soon"

A Spirit Vein's Guide to Immortality
TL;DR Synopsis: Man dies from falling banana, gets interrogated but answers vaguely, suffers consequences Actual synopsis: Spirit veins. Many consider them to be the pillar on which the world of cultivation is built. These things served as the foundation for the first few realms that would allow humanity to achieve its everlasting dream of immortality. However, in the present age, these pockets of condensed energy only exist to be under the foundations of massive organizations, fostering a new generation of fighters while passively radiating the energy they contain. Nevertheless, spirit veins are still an important element in the world of cultivation, albeit much less so. With that in mind, have you ever considered what it would be like for someone to turn into a spirit vein? No? Well, Arthur never thought about it either. Going through the usual reincarnation schtick (if one could consider it usual), Arthur was eventually brought into a place where a god asked him where he would like to be reborn. Unsurprisingly, Arthur told the god his ideal rebirth. However, soon enough, he would come to realize that he should have been more specific with it. Now being reborn as the smallest spirit vein, or if you could even consider him a spirit vein, Arthur wondered what he could do other than wait for time to consume him…and that’s where the system came in. With it, he would experience multiple stories of hardships, adventure, romance, and action…all underground. Unless…? Do keep in mind that English is not my first language, so I would like to apologize in advance if there are any grammatical errors, typos, miscalculations and so on. In fact, I'd highly appreciate it if you tell me those mistakes. Also, this story focuses quite a lot on the gradual progression of the MC at the beginning, but in the long run, upgrading sprees would probably be more common. Thanks for reading this small note!
